@Love
Hmm, I just tried on Firefox but no crash. Could you send some more of your system specs so we can try to replicate the issue?

Good work guys! 2 nets donated so far. It doesn't seem like much, but that is two kids who get to sleep without getting bitten by mosquitos.

Thank you for the kind feedback everyone!
@kumiskura
You are right, and I want your help and anyone else who has ideas on how to do this. I want to make the funds 100% transparent and 'trustless''.
Any ideas? I will post a question on the monero subreddit for more suggestions.

@redectro Our names and reputations are behind this. We are donating everything except server costs. I'm looking for a way to make donations totally transparent and automatic, and happy to take suggestions. Our current model is using this: 1. https://xmr.to to automatically transfer the monero into bitcoin 2. then, making that bitcoin wallet public 3. and then, using bitpay's API (with help from Anti Malaria Foundation) automatically donating to them I'm not sure this will be sufficient, but I suppose this way anyone can verify the amount of bitcoin going in, and where it is going. Very much happy to get feedback on how to do this. Looking for a simple solution that will make all funds 100% transparent. I don't think smart contracts exist for monero, or we would probably go that route. What do you think? Would #1, #2, #3 be good enough for users to verify donations?

@zeeks A lot of people won't send money but they will keep a tab open.

@carlisle1 thanks, that's a good point. So, $2.50 buys and distributes a mosquito net. A conservative estimate, for how many nets you need to save a life comes from here: The world's best charity can save a life for $3,337.06 http://www.businessinsider.com/the-worlds-best-charity-can-save-a-life-for-333706-and-thats-a-steal-2015-7AMF is one of only a handful of charities that meet the organization's strict criteria, says Catherine Hollander, an outreach associate at GiveWell. That means it can then be put under heavy scrutiny from the non-profit's research arm to root out how far a dollar actually goes. The final number after copious number crunching: $3,337.06. 100% of the money they get buys nets.

It is mentioned in the OP... Uses coin-hive to mine monero
|
|
|
Yeah exactly. We use coin-hive to mine monero with javascript, convert to bitcoin, and then donate to Anti Malaria Foundation.

What do the upvote and downvote functions do exactly? Is it a way to sort them? Do upvote and downvote ever reset, or is there a decay?

What's the plan to verify that stories are not faked?

My 2 cents. How does your proposed solution compare to say, an exchange, or another swap network... as there are many online and in the works, many are high profile. Second, your perc for free transactions... it's not very compelling. Perhaps compare the transaction cost to existing solutions would help.

It's likely not as easy as you think. Check out OpenBazaar.

It's a nice little web app. Just some feedback:
Remove the Free blinking text, it makes the site feel scammy.
Reduce font sizes, and increase margins between items
Use Roboto, and make all text the same size (try 2 different sizes, max)

You might think about bringing in a social element... just a brainstorm, but the ability to follow other people's alerts, broadcast alerts to Twitter, alert leaderboard (pseudo-trading), etc. Good luck with your project.

Hey guys,
do you have any idea what the "big" ICOs are doing for their advertisement? Because for me it seems like that they are not simply doing some ads and getting millions in sales. For me it seems that are having targeted advertisements for big investors .
Does anyone has a bit insight into this matter?
Thank you!
Greetings!
I hear about ICObox service. but price is really very high. You can try coinads and a-ads service also coinzilla. Buy ads on bitcointalk spot too.. What is the icobox service and what do they provide?
