1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PULSAR][POW-POS][PULSATING BLOCK REWARDS][CPU/GPU Only]Introducing PULSAR on: March 30, 2018, 05:09:42 AM
Any pro's out there that would like to chip in? How do you like the project? Are you interested in the collectibles idea?

Hey cryptostiltskin - don't bother with the FUDDers who are blindly following the lead of a disgraced, abrasive community manager (who is possibly here on Bitcointalk as user leilonvala), and come here to speak untruths about the Pulsar project.

I personaly believe in, and am invested in Pulsar - I can hardly wait for the next collectible.

Ignore the babble from the fudders - they will always be there babbling.

oh this is a BAD one, one of the worst this week, congrats, you win the worst shitcoin of the week! Cheesy

50% premine
less than ONE coin block reward for the miners (confusing OP says some shit about 10 coins but no reward schedule listed)
Devs staking premine, 1650 PoS diff :O total dick move

not.worth.one.hash

When I read comments like this and I see they are coming from a so-called "Legendary" user, my heart bleeds for Bitcointalk. But then - it is comments like these that get them such status...

So. Did you read the part where the dev stated on page 3:

Quote
Please note that this is no longer the case. Best follow our Discord channel at https://discord.gg/BazQFEZ for more recent info on this and other things.
?

Did you visit http://pulsar.cryptocollectibles.io/richlist, to observe that what we all believe to be dev accounts stopped staking on 3rd February, which ties in with the date the announcement referred to above was posted?

Did you visit that Discord channel to see that this is a pinned announcement, and that the community on discord is fully aware of this? Or did you check the Pulsar explorer to confirm FOR YOURSELF if devs were staking?

Did you ask for an explanation of the pulsating rewards, since you clearly do not understand what was said about 1/10 coins rewards?

And where on earth did you get the idea of 50% from??? OP clearly states:

Quote
  • Max supply: 15000000

  • Premine: 150000

Did you read that?? Simple math tells me that the premine is 1%; not 50% as you stated! Wow. Perhaps the math is not that simple...

That's right - stay away from this one. One less [kindly fill in the blank here] to worry about; more, actually, because some other poor souls will blindly read your comment and do the same.

Next time, follow the facts. Go visit the Discord channel. Best advice I can give, Mr. "Legend" - and the poor souls following your advice.

When solo mining, do you need to specify your address somewhere? I have set the conf file in %appdata%\pulsar with my username and am specifying that rpcport, rpcuser, and rpcpass, but as yet have not seen any coins credited to the wallet. Nowhere is the receiving address specified. Am I doing this correctly?

hsrminer_hsr -o http://127.0.0.1:15799 -u <myrpcuser> -p <myrpcpass>

so how do you mine this thing?

You can mine solo for now:
Sure, you can do solo mining at this moment.
Use cpuminer-opt-3.8.0 or ccminer (for example)

Example Command :  cpuminer-aes-sse42.exe -a hmq1725 -o http://127.0.0.1:15799 -u user -p pass

Your configuration seems in order - when solo mining, you do not need to enter an address; it mines directly into the local running wallet. Did you restart the wallet after modifying the config file?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop][ERC-20]Introducing BOLD - The Strong and Rewarding Token on: December 28, 2017, 07:07:56 PM
this project is so slow and it's not moving anywhere, i don't know if the dev are abandoning it or they are taking things slowly

I find your comment quite interesting. Why do you think this project is slow? According to whose roadmap or strategy is it slow - yours?

There has been an airdrop - I participated; the project’s twitter account has over 2,100 followers, lots of activity; I know there is a lot of activity on the project’s fb and telegram and discord: have you joined any of these? I participated in the BOLD christmas giveaway - did you?
I have purchased more BOLD from stocks exchange - have you gone on there?

And yet the project is not even 2 months old!

What exactly do you mean when you say the project is slow - relative to what exactly?

Or was your post simply to increase your number of posts?? Just not sure what your comment was meant to achieve.

Looking forward to your response.

Excellent news! Just saw a tweet about this coin and the listing, keen to be a part of this. Looking to be involved in any way I can in promoting this coin.

Is there a website for this? Is this something we can work on to create? Happy to help out here!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Komodo coin? on: July 05, 2017, 09:32:54 AM
I just went through the Komodo white paper on its delayed Proof of Work consensus mechanism (https://komodoplatform.com/whitepaper/). Has anyone else?

What do you think of this mechanism that notarizes transactions on to the bitcoin blockchain - providing stronger security (an attacker will have to bring both networks to succeed), but whose success also depends on the continous success of Bitcoin? What happens in the case of a the "split" bitcoin blockchain (Segwit, bitcoin Unlimited, etc)? Supanet (Komodo developers) appear to be staking a lot on this mechanism.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
