1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you consider OKpay to be trustworthy? Why or why not? on: May 17, 2013, 10:11:39 PM
Can anyone who has used OKPay explain the fees to me?  I see if I send money from BTC-E to OKPay BTC-E says there is a 1% fee.  Is that total, or is there also a fee on the OKPay side as well?

These run REALLY HOT if you get the single fan version. I had the MYST version I got for $209 and 90c under load was way hot and LOUD

bitterdog, were you doing LTC or BTC mining?  I just bought a MYST and am trying to get it going for LTC but I'm having a terrible time.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi all,

I'd really appreciate being whitelisted.  Long-time lurker who recently bought a new rig and is having hardware issues.  There are some hardware/conf threads I'd love to be able to post on but I'm very low on the time logged in.  I seem to get auto-logged out a lot and I can't get the time logged in up very quickly.

Thanks for reading,

Depends on what you mean by opportunity.  Can you mine more than you use in electricity using GPUs right now? Yes, definitely.

ASICs could (and are) change that...  Although some would suggest that you just move to LTC as BTC becomes tough to mine with GPUs.  Lots of others will also move to LTC (or other currencies) as BTC becomes unprofitable though, so it isn't as good a hedge as you might think.

You can also take the risk and buy an ASIC miner, although that is a gamble all to its own.

I'd suggest building your own GPU miner.  It isn't difficult to do, and you can get plenty of advice for mining hardware on here.  What is your budget?  I bet we could find you parts on NCIX or Newegg (assembled and everything) for that same price that add up to a much better miner than these pre-built sites offer.  They're charging a premium for the expertise you can find on here for free.

I built a personal computer this week, for example, that isn't purpose built for bitcoin mining and still beats the price/MHash that I see in some of the adds on this website.  It is very easy.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Good way to go LTC->USD or BTC in small quantities? on: April 24, 2013, 11:04:32 AM
Anyone have a good way to go from LTC to BTC or USD in small purchases (<5LTC).  I'm just starting to play with this a little but finding that BTC-E has a flat fee withdrawl for BTC so it is prohibitive to take BTC out in small quantities.  Any other ways of going between LTC and others would be appreciated.

Also, any good (cheap) ways of going from MtGox to BTC-E?

Thanks!
