1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Safest wallet ? on: February 04, 2018, 02:33:14 PM
Electronic wallets

Electronic wallets can be downloaded software, or hosted in the cloud. The former is simply a formatted file that lives on your computer or device, that facilitates transactions. Hosted (cloud-based) wallets tend to have a more user-friendly interface, but you will be trusting a third party with your private keys.

Software wallet

Installing a wallet directly on your computer gives you the security that you control your keys. Most have relatively easy configuration, and are free. The disadvantage is that they do require more maintenance in the form of backups. If your computer gets stolen or corrupted and your private keys are not also stored elsewhere, you lose your bitcoin.

They also require greater security precautions. If your computer is hacked and the thief gets a hold of your wallet or your private keys, he also gets hold of your bitcoin.

Hi
Have good time
I do agree that the ramp up and ramp down are far too long, since they are more than 14 days (difficulty adjustment).  I know more hash rate would help get that further down, but it can be one minor negative to new miners who come online with koan.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Valid Transaction or not? on: December 09, 2017, 06:44:34 PM
The other graph-validity constraints, all specific to TRANSFER transactions, are:

All inputs point to outputs that exist on transactions that exist.
All inputs point to outputs on valid transactions. (Note the recursion.)
All inputs correctly fulfill (satisfy) the crypto-conditions on the outputs that they spend.
All inputs point to transactions with the same asset ID, and that asset ID is the same as the asset ID of the TRANSFER transaction itself. (This constraint exists because a TRANSFER transaction can only transfer shares of one asset at a time).
The sum of the amounts on the inputs must equal the sum of the amounts on the outputs. This is a graph constraint because getting the amounts on the inputs requires checking output amounts in other transactions.

I think I screwed up the question...I know that value does fluctuate or maybe I'm stupid but the money in my regular bank account with no interest etc. from 10 years ago is pretty much the same value...my question is when your bitcoins are in your wallet since they are virtual...if tomorrow $10 worth of coins are worth more...will the numbers within the wallet change to show it's increased value or will it just say .000051 or whatever $10 worth of Bitcoin is...yep, I'm dumb.

Hi
have a good time
Be careful; even ico websites are getting in trouble and are violating jurisdiction promoting securities without even realizing they fall under these conditions.
