I mainly wanted to see what would become of it and officially put it to bed for anyone else that may have come across that video/post. By going through the scam dance with him I now have actual email correspondence to give to YouTube to get those videos removed. I figured it was a SCAM. I figured if I can afford to lose 1.1 ETH why not maybe be able to get this guy's account terminated so he can't get anyone else.

I would bump up the voltage from 850 to 900mv. Have you installed the new mining driver if using windows? If using SMOS there is a mining driver (DAG Fix) version.

It is officially a SCAM everyone. I had a friend reach out and now the price is 1.2 ETH. The guy just gets you to send him money and then never responds again. Hopefully I will be his last victim.

You will notice that you can't post comments on his YouTube video, he must have them on approval only. I have posted multiple from various accounts and only I can see them. See below

It has been over 24 hours since I paid the guy (Michael) 1.1 ETH. We were in back and forth conversation, but once I paid I have heard nothing from him. Was supposed to receive the driver within 30 minutes after payment. I'm going to give it officially until Monday (maybe he took the weekend off) until I call it for what it seems to be.

These cards can actually hash at 30-31 very easily. You need to mod the bios a bit but nothing out of the ordinary for AMD RX series cards. I have an 8x GPU rig of RX 580 Nitro+ 8GB. Total rig draws just under 1500 Watts and I"m pulling about 244 Mh/s ETH + about 4850 Mh/s SC. It is sort of a lot to type out. I'm going to make a video on it here in the next few days as many people have had issues with these cards including myself. I was new to AMD when I bought these so it was a bit of a learning curve. Now that I am familiar with it I don't mind them. Let me know if you would like to know more and I'll post the video link here.

Can anyone share how you get the 8th GPU to recognize on this? I have RX580 Nitro+ 8GB cards, Asus Z270-P. I have 2 M.2 to PCIe converts. It seems to only recognize 7 cards. I have tried adjusting all (gen1-3, auto, PCIe...)settings and even disabled everything I am not using. Any light on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

How many GPUs are you running? I am only able to get 7 to register in windows and linux. Doesn't seem to recognize #8.

I have literally spent days on this... I ordered 60 RX 580 Nitro+ 8GB GPUs over a month ago. The first round of them started showing up this week (First two that I tested with are Hynix mem). Out of the box I was getting 24Mh/s. Updated drivers and was getting 21Mh/s. I spent hours and hours looking for info on how to get my hash up and was getting no-where. I had a min panic attack but then came across the below post.

User Ti posted down in the comments how they got it up around 30Mh/s (Real Solution). I did what was suggested and was getting about 28-29Mh/s. I just like you wanted that extra 1Mh/s as that plus 60 GPUs is a big deal. I tweaked and tweak in TriXX and below is how I am currently getting in the upper 30 and even 31 on occation Mh/s

GPU Clock: 1275
Mem Clock: 2300
GPU Voltage: -66mV

for the most part it seems stable but only been running for like an hour. I'll post back if anything changes. Good Luck!



EDIT: Once I started hooking up more than one GPU to the rig it would crash. Getting VM_CONTEXT1PROTECTION_FAULT_ADDR while trying to mine on SMOS. In Windows 10 once I would plug in the 2nd GPU the first would hash 1-2 Mh/s below the norm and the 2nd GPU was hashing at 4Mh/s total. There is something wrong with running these cards in windows 10. I've tried driver version 17.1.1, 17.4.3, 17.4.4 and 17.7.1 and all react the same. If I don't have an HDMI plugged into the card running a monitor the Sapphire LED goes off after boot and I can't get any temps or readouts. If I start mining with it the LED comes on but I can't see any temp/fan read out in Claymore and it gets very hot. Overall just very glitchy and unreliable in Win10. Why would running 2 GPUs cause this? Any ideas?

Right now I have it stable for about an hour in SMOS (ETH 29Mh/s - SC 585Mh/s) but I had to reflash the bios and remove all undervolting. Just have copied mem straps as suggested in the link above. Only downer is that each card is pulling 180W as before with the undervolt it was under 100W.

If anyone has successfully got these running (6 or 8 gpus) on a rig and stable around 30Mh/s I would really like to know the secret magical settings. Any help would be very much appreciated.

For those that have had a successful purchase I'd like to know which supplier you went through. I just about purchased $10k worth of GPUs last night from a company but thought that I'd check with Alibaba and make 100% sure things were legit as I don't like sending WU orders (I guess this is somewhat normal on Alibaba). After they did 15-20 minutes of research they advised me not to purchase with that retailer as they believe the page may have been hacked. Companies pages are getting hacked during this GPU craze and you can chat with them via Alibaba and it can feel 100% legit but if you don't pay through Alibaba's Assurance option on the site they do not recommend it right now for GPUs. This guy even called me and gave me the whole run down of his operation for about 20 minutes on the phone. He had me convinced but my gut was still not on board. Anyways I'm ready to pull the trigger on 50-100 GPUs (depending on price) and if anyone knows where I can get this amount in bulk I would gladly pay a finders fee.
