2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Ever Made Such Mistake Before, But Won still? on: October 08, 2023, 05:09:01 PM
Nope, I have many mistakes but it doesn't turn to a blessing I am not too lucky enough to win even though it was a mistake. People like the OP are the luckiest ones and I am envy with you guys, I also envy people who always win in every gambling because they are too lucky enough in raffle, lotto , slots etc. That is why I spend my money in sports betting because in there, I have more chances of winning.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: October 08, 2023, 04:05:07 PM
Very few people become rich from gambling, most people become poor because of gambling and even go bankrupt and have a lot of debt. Gambling activities are very exciting, there is an exciting sensation when placing a bet and there is satisfaction when winning a bet. Maybe that feeling is what makes people addicted to gambling

But the funny thing about gambling is that we know that the chances of winning are smaller and the chances of losing are bigger, but we still gamble  Grin
Yes correct, very few becomes rich because mostly people who gambles only think straight that they need to gamble and win so that they can be easily to get rich. We should avoid that kind of thinking because it will only make us more addict and also will give us bad result in our finances. We should learn to manage our emotions towards gambling so we cannot go wrong.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is regulation of cryptocurrency exchanges essential for mass adoption? on: October 07, 2023, 10:33:21 PM
Ahmmm yes it is. Because if we really want to have a mass adoption we should accept the fact that government should accept and we let them regulate the exchanges. for me, I don't want to let the government regulate it, the reason why I supported cryptocurrency because there is no government in between and there's no medium. And I don't really want a mass adoption for every country.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 04:52:03 PM
Take it or leave it, some part of me still want to make free money from gambling, even when I don't gamble every day, and while I am a very cautious gambler.
Some people are trying to hide behind the cotton, stating that they are gambling for the fun of it, I will like to ask them this question if I can get them to answer.
Is there any spirit of good will when you intentionally give your money away in order to just have a good time gambling?
Because taking money away from gambling simply makes the game not worth playing.
Will you still participate if money is not involved? Many people will easily quit if all casinos are to be turned into no-money games, isn't it?
Money is still the real reasons why we gamble, been addicted or not, mutual greed or not, all gambling is done to make more money or get some form of reward in the end.
Yes we cannot erase that fact because there are still other people who made money with gambling. It is a fact but it is not available to everyone I mean not all people can get what other people are doing. If they are winning in a row and earning so much in gambling we can't compare ourselves nor gamble as much as they did because what is happening to them does not guaranteed that will happen to us.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 07, 2023, 03:22:53 PM
I somewhat agree with you, we should refrain ourselves from discussing gambling with acquaintances or friends. It has a few downsides, first you tell someone about your gambling experience who doesn't have enough money. If you tell him about the big profits from gambling,  he may become very interested in gambling, and may gamble even if he borrows money. And if he is somehow defeated, the ill effects will be felt on him and his family.

Secondly, my interactions have exposed me to numerous individuals who swiftly succumbed to the allure of gambling, subsequently relinquishing substantial monetary assets. I won't say gambling is bad, however getting addicted to it is very bad. This is why we should be careful, and not talking about gambling to people who have little money, or who are likely to become addicted to gambling.
Yes , we should be careful because not all people are like us. Also, it is still a stigma that people who gambles are all addict and tend to have a bad life because we are playing gambling, that most common here in asia. Though gambling is created to entertained people still most of the gambling addict here tend to be more likely to be poor because they thought that gambling is the key to be rich instantly.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 07, 2023, 02:09:10 PM
         -  Here in our country, I observe some senior individuals who continue to gamble, but they mostly play bingo and the lotto. However,
I have not observed any elders or elderly individuals playing internet games. Online gambling is a popular pastime.

They play the ones I mentioned the most since they don't have to think as much as other casino games. Of course, I won't want to gamble again till I'm old; it's good to gamble once in a while, and I'm the only one who knows no one else. To be honest, it's more acceptable to me.

Yes because it becomes their habit and also their source of happiness . That is why just like other game and just like other entertainment there's no limit in age if they want it and they like to spend their lives gamble and will continue to do it even though they are old enough just because they want to have a fun with their friends and also their loveones and the emotion they are feeling.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 06, 2023, 09:46:06 PM
I spoke to a tutor who teaches trading, and he said for his lectures, he teaches for an extended period of nine months for anyone who wants to learn trading from him. Please I like to read the personal experience of some traders here, how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn? did it take you weeks, months or years? Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader? Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?
Actually, trading is a long term process and every one takes a long time before they learn how to gamble the thing that is needed to workout over time is how to get patience and learn that you cannot learn trading in just days or weeks. Even I and my uncle still learning this until now and we sometimes has a problem with that and sometimes it makes me frustrated because I get some mistakes in my SL.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which games offer the best chance of a big win? on: October 06, 2023, 05:47:35 PM
It looks like a slot that can bring big profits, but it must be accompanied by big luck too. Slot games require luck, so if you don't have luck, you won't be able to win easily.

It's rare for people to win a lot of money from slots, but some people can get it. And those people can get lucky to win a lot of money. On this forum, some people often get big wins with small bets. Perhaps you can ask them what their secret is.
I agree, I think the game that will give a best chance to win is sports betting or cockfighting if it is included in the choices. In the games that I have mentioned you can clearly get it done with little to no stress since people who do that thing win more than in the choices because it is easier to bet with a game you know which side is the best, maybe slot but if I'm not mistaken the more bettors the lesser you will win.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery with a twist on: October 06, 2023, 04:42:23 PM
Hello everyone,

I would like to hear your feedback on the following.

This will be like a raffle or lottery, but with a twist. It will be based on smart contracts. The contract works like a traditional lottery. You buy a ticket to participate, and if you're lucky, you win a share of the pot. The ticket price could be set, for example $10 worth of coins. The lottery runs in rounds, each lasting 10 minutes. At the end of each round, the pot is distributed among a random number of winners. The contract is designed to be fair and transparent. The random number generation is based on blockchain data, so it's impossible to predict or manipulate. There are also some safety measures in place. The contract owner can add funds to the pot, but they can't withdraw them. This is to prevent any potential scams or misuse of funds.

Let's say in 10 minutes, a 100 people buy tickets, $10, pot is $1000.

Then we select random winners, like 36 person.
Instead of distributing 1000/36, we will distribute randomly as well.

Any thoughts? Is there any similar projects out there?
Honestly, I think there's a similar concept to that one here in this forum. I forgot when but there's a kind of lottery that when you get the last digit in block explorer you will get a bitcoin coin in physical I also forget who that person who conducted that event. But when it comes to a lottery with a prize I think there's none as of now, it could be cool and entertaining I will participate if there's a gaming site that offer such game.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Gambling Sportybet (Company) Refund the Money? on: October 06, 2023, 03:28:29 PM
In the gambling platform, there are different stories every day across the world. This 16 years Nigerian citizen used his school fees to play bet and was planning to win big amount so he can use it to solve other problems but along the line he loss everything and he went to the contact of the company and begged them to refund the money back to him because it is his school fees. Is it possible for the company to refund the money to the boy? As for me it is not possible because the played the game and loss. And also the boy was too small to gamble because gambling is meant for mature mind because you have you to face things like and when you loss, you have to move on. And these are some the reasons why casinos always specifying that before you play gamble, you must be above 18 years plus  that is in short form 18+ and some people and sportsbooks ignore this warning and this is one off the result. Click the picture for more information.

They will not of course, this could be a lesson to all minors out there that they should obey the rule and they need to follow it that if they are still minor they don't need to pretend that they are old enough just to gamble. I know that there are more kids out there that do the same thing and they should not used high school funds nor their tuition fees. Parents should be aware and learn from this too, they should guide their kid because gambling online is too easy to access nowadays.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 05, 2023, 08:26:38 PM
There are a lot of Crypto Signal Providers - about 5 of them are at the top of the list.
They claim 80% accuracy.
I googled reviews and I read nothing but good things about them.
If they were bad signals people would give bad reviews.

If they do have 80% accuracy, then anyone who uses them would become wealthy in a short time.
Do you use any crypto signals?
Actually, yes I am using crypto signals but from a website that uses AI. That website doesn't give you the signals that you will need to trade they are just giving you insights, indeces, and little bit market overview in the next 7days, month. I am using that paid version but I am also checking the market situation, not because I am using signal that doesn't mean that I will not check the market. I will also check Twitter, Bloomberg business and other news website. Yes, it will cost me too much time but it is fine with me rather than to regret.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you manage your finances and family if your income is low range? on: October 05, 2023, 07:51:41 PM
If the incoming fund does not suffice to meet the basic needs of 3x meal a day, then the family need to adjust by reducing the meal, or the provider looking for an additional source of income.  Very low does not necessarily means it is not enough for the basic needs.  These families manage well because they do plans and budgeting in order to make their income fit the budget.  The family is probably does not engage in extra spending and mostly each penny in their hands is smartly budgeted and allocate to needs.

In our case, we did not reduce the number of meals per day but rather we decrease the amount per serving and also some ingredients for it. In that way we can still have the good number of meals per day and we can manage our finances so well. We are avoiding spending in house deliveries of foods and other items , maybe we will only by those things if there's special occasion. We prioritize things that we need over our necessities, inflation is hard here.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 05, 2023, 07:11:06 PM
A lady cried seriously after losing her money in sports bet gambling. Navigate to the image for more info 👉👉👉

Gambling is not for the weak minded ones but for those who can withstand with the bad motion/feeling when it occurs. Any gambler that thinking to win always is not well prepared for the gambling space. As a Gambler, you have to prepare your mind that the game you are playing might favour you or against you and if the game against you, then you have to wear a thick skin to over come the lose. Gambling is not for butter and bread but for the better and the worst. So any of the above come to your way as a gambler, you take. No man/woman should cry for gambling though it is painful but you don't have to cry. The casino company never cry when you win. She would have known that gambling is not her loss is another person win and her win is another person loss. Casinos want you to loss and you want casinos to loss and that is how gambling game is. Many people don't understand gambling and all what they want is to play and win. And I believed that she didn't read the Ts of the casino and probably she was excited for the game and placed her bet and loss.
This is the first time I am seeing a lady playing gamble in the public domain. Though I have been hearing but not seen. Well she should take heart, the matter how she cried the money will not come back again. What do you say about the Lady? Did she do well in the public? As I said, gambling is not your mate, take precautions.
Honestly , this is too sad to read a thing like this. I just hope that people will soon realize that they are making gambling as passive income though some of  the people really can make a daily income with this but then we should not rely all our future in gambling. We should learn to find jobs , make business then have fun in gambling , it is meant to entertain us not to ruin us nor make us broke.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage greed to place your bet on: October 05, 2023, 05:42:44 PM

Greed in betting is easily limited by the thickness of the wallet. If the wallet is not completely full, then this will moderate the ardor with the bets.

Regrets, self-blame and other emotions are not appropriate in gambling if you are chasing a big win. Emotions will not help, but on the contrary, they will only harm, therefore, it is necessary to restrain them as much as possible and adhere to the strategy. Only a systematic, prudent and balanced game. It's like you're on a secret mission and one wrong move with your bet will reveal you. Smiley It is more prudent to place bets in accordance with your limits, determined in advance by the strategy and initial action plan.

Better yet, for your wallet, is not to gamble at all. And then, all the above-described problems and questions become irrelevant. Smiley
But the thing is we cannot avoid these emotions, we can only manage it. All people has this kind of emotions , some people can manage it very well but for some people they cannot do it because their emotions controls their brain, their decision and they cannot think properly because they only think that they need to win no matter what happen and it will cause them so much trouble.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is purely a mental challenge on: October 05, 2023, 04:43:24 PM
I think it is not only a mental challenge but also it is an emotional challenge.  Many have the mind set of hodling but most of them give up on emotional challenges due to fear of lossing when Bitcoin plummets to a certain degree.  Also, we know that in an investment and trading, not only mental capability is important but also the emotional capability plays a significant role in how a trader maintant their composure in Hodling.

Many investors gave in to fear and became weak hand, selling their stash the moment the price of Bitcoin take a dip.  FUD will never be called FUD if it does not affect the emotion of a trader.
Yes that is actually correct. Having a good mental and emotionally stable health is a must needed in this kind of market. If you are old or trading long time in crypto your patience is already been stretch and you are get used to it. The bear and bull market is too hard to understand at first especially if there is a FUD coming from some people , new people in the market tend to believe in this and at the end of the day they will panic sell.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: October 01, 2023, 09:19:55 PM
You can start a business because you like the idea behind it or you love doing it and on the long run it still doesn't favour you. Like you will feel you wasted your time, I mean what is there to love when after a few years you aren't getting nowhere?

The thing about starting a business is you will never know how things will be, not until you try it, there are people who venture into business that they don't even like doing and they adapt and they have good results from the business.

Business is like looking for a new recipe that the world will love and accept, it's not that simple, you are at a risk of failing or succeeding, but you will never know, the reason why we do business is to make money, if you love what you do and you aren't making good money it makes no sense, you sit with the business because it's what you love to do, you might never grow.

Try and see, adapt, and always open your mind to new ideas, millions of people are planning to make money, and if you plan things the way they do, your result will not be great, be different.
Yes that's true, make or start business that is the interest of yours. If you really want that business because it is your forte and you like it very much then it will be good because you know your business very well and you like it very much so you will have all the details and ideas to run it very smoothly. Some people fail because they just chose it because of other people not their interest.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do in this situation? Invest or save? on: October 01, 2023, 07:51:39 PM
If you have plans to start a dream business that requires a capital of  $20,000 and you were able to make a savings of $15,000 which obviously isn't enough to start up the business, what would be your decision or advice?

1. Invest the $15,000 into a smaller business hoping that the returns will yield the remaining $15,000 in a short period. Note that this has the potential of failing and wasting the already-saved  $15,000.

2. Keep the $15,000 while doing other work that will yield the remaining money over a long period.

Would love to see your input or a better suggestion apart from the ones I pointed out above.

N/B
This is the typical situation a friend finds himself and we are just brainstorming in what best to do.
If I will be given with such money , I will invest some part of it and then save the other half. I will invest it because I want to make it grow and storing it only in banks will give a small amount of interest only. I will take risk and invest it instead , the reason why I will save the other half is because I need to save for myself as well and it will serves as a backup plan when my business fails.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we improve our country's economy by on culture or ecosystem? on: October 01, 2023, 06:47:14 PM
The countries never teaches us to save money in any way,we should take responsibility to save the money. From our bad times,we should understand the value of the money. After learning more about the savings, you can start to save a minimum amount of 10 dollars every month from your salary. When you adapt to saving increase the saving from 10 dollars to one percentage of your income. So you may increase the savings to 100 dollars,if your salary is like 10k dollars. So finally you will have huge money in your wallet at the emergency time.
Actually they do, I think most of the countries taught their student on how to save money but then it is not properly executed. Here in my country they teach basic accounting even though you are not really into business course but it is just that because it is not really connected to the course you are taking with , some professors will not teach it properly and likewise student will not study it entirely
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement [Pros and Cons] on: October 01, 2023, 02:11:20 PM
It's not an easy thing, everyone really wants to retire because of course almost everyone doesn't want to be tied down to work and wants to be free to do whatever they like, but again, if everything is constrained by money, even though they have prepared for early retirement, not many people have the courage. take this decision if there is no strong guarantee that your finances after retirement will remain secure or stable.
I agree, it is really really very hard to retire at early age if your company job is your source of income or your retirement fee is good amount but then you are afraid to start your own business or start your own life from now on, it really requires a lot of courage. I know that because it was the struggles of my parents when they start to retire it is hard to adjust and live in the first few months but it is fine after you adjust.
