I have some pcie 16x to 1x and pcie 16x to 16x that are about 12 inches

Coolio,  12" seems about right 16 x 16 I think is best for me, as it's a Radeon 7990 on the end of it...

Meow..

I was just wondering, how long (cable wise) can you extend the PCie port?

I need one long enough to reach outside the pc case..

my two 7990's are chocking each other !

Sorry I dont understand

What don't you understand?    1 x Radeon Card 7990 has a fluctuating Mhash - is this normal?   I'd thought each gpu core of the 7990 would  mine at around 500 Mhash .     but there up and down like a tart's knickers.. also getting the 'connecting' alot on the GUIMiner.. maybe I should try a different software miner ??  ?

Hi, so just fitted a brand new 7990 Radeon gpu... But when I use GUIMiner it seems every second the hash value is changin from 70 Mhash to 169 then 490  then to 'connecting...'  this then repeats but with different values...

Also when I log into BTC Guild my average speed is about 490Mhah, half what this card can do....

Any ideas

'ASIC' when ever, whatever....  I came close to buying one of the 50G/Hash Butterflylabs asic miners, but.. I believe in paying for something then getting it Smiley

will you mine litecoin ?

I wasn't going too, just regular bitcoin, why is litecoin more profitable?

Cause asic are pushing up the difficulty in btc mining. You have to check you numbers, maybe it will be more profitable to mine ltc (no asic competition) and sell for btc instead.

I'll try both, and see what happens...  hopefully they should arrive tomorrow.. cost me £1600 for dual 7990's Sad

That's what I thought!   even if I only half pay-it off - It'll be still worth it.

Plus the 7990 output's 'Ultra HD 4k' the new High Def standard.   Just need the tv.

But for the meantime they're mining 24/7  Smiley

Nearly had to re-mortgage the house for these mother funkers...  I hope I can make my money back...

My solar Powered house will help with the electricity..

Let's hope the gamble pays off.

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining with Radeon HD7770, what M/Hash should I be getting...? on: April 26, 2013, 09:28:05 PM
Cool.

I've got an old Radeon HD5570 that does about 50M/hash - could I stick that in my extra PCIe slot?   would it work together with the 7770 ?

If you put two of the same gpu cards in (crossfire) does this double the Hash rate?
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Mining with Radeon HD7770, what M/Hash should I be getting...? on: April 26, 2013, 09:01:31 PM
Hi,

I've started mining using a  HD 7770 graphics card,, and I'm getting 183 M/Hash using GUIMiner

Is this a good rate?   If I was to buy a second card and used crossfire would the rate double?

Thanks

Hello,

Well just downloaded my PC based Bitcoin Wallet -  it took pretty much 24 hours to sync with the network - it seemed never ending.

My Wallet ID is:-
1E1QES4JZYCdnuQeuoDd7hrXTgSXM1FQ4r

Would it be possible for someone to send a fraction of a bitcoin to it, and I'll send it straight back...

just for testing purposes,

Thanks, hope this post doesn't violate any rules.
