1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - new virtual fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: November 16, 2017, 10:25:22 AM
When using bitcore-qt on windows, when sending transaction, does it send remaining in account to new address?Huh I didn't realize this and I formatted my computer and not sure if this wallet.dat file has all the addresses saved in it or just the one that had money currently? I used the debug window to importwallet but nothing updated and not sure if i have to call rescan somehow or if it automatically updates it, but I really hope the address got saved in my wallet file

Hi freshbtcer! When you send BTC or BTX to somebody else, by default it sends the change of a transaction to a new unused so-called change address in order to make it harder for other people to track exactly how many coins you have or where you send them. For this purpose your wallet generates a set of change addresses. (You can find more details here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change)

Try to properly restore your wallet.dat and see if it has your balance in the change addresses.  If you made a lot of transactions there's an unfortunate chance that your coins were moved into new change addresses that are not in your backup. One actually needs to backup a wallet regularly if it's used to send transactions.

Thank you for the response! Problem resolved! I saved the wallet file 10 minutes after the transaction sent so I was determined. I was able to create a shortcut for the bitcore-qt.exe and add -wallet= for the new wallet file to get it to rescan and was able to recover.. I love it because last time I had a corrupt wallet file and bitcore client was able to repair and recover my keys then as well!

3  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Will the upcoming hard-fork allow gpu miners to successfully mine BTC? on: November 06, 2017, 10:20:09 PM
Since 85% were signaling for segwit2x, would it allow your average gpu miners to mine the original fork? Until the ASIC takes over again that is..

Is anyone on this pool not getting paid what they are supposed to the last couple weeks?

@sirblacks

I have noticed ALLOT of my shares not being processed as well or the smaller h/s miners on xmr come in and get more then they should
I am miniong XMR on mixpools and block hasnt been found for almost 3 days and i only received .05 xmr when my hashrate is steady at 5kh/s and is usually around 7-8kh/s which the calculator shows it should be at least .1 for 5kh/s

When are atlant tokens going to distributed and do we get to choose the ethereum address when it happens or does it use what you sent from because I cannot find the address I sent from on etherscan.

A place where any pro or noob can go to find information, chat or to find mining software and scripts to start the software or maintain rigs. I just uploaded mybb and hasn't been much customizing yet, but every night after work and putting kids to sleep, I will be doing what I can to make it a better place. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated, as in posting versions of miners, drivers, or just some simple bash/bat scripts to run or maintain your rigs. Lets double this cryptocurrency world by inviting the not so savvy miners in and give them easy access to everything they need without browsing google for days! Please if you upload any files to your own file space, please provide the MD5 hash of the file so they can be verified. Hoping to implement the hashing into some type of upload page one day. I am no pro webmaster or programmer, I am a mechanic who has a passion for computers for last 15 years since I was 13, but thats all it was, a passion, it didn't pay my bills and I had kids early in life and haven't been able to do schooling needed and with my needy wife and kids, its hard to focus long enough to teach myself anything anymore. That being said, any help to get this board up and running, also bringing more members, it will all be appreciated, not only by me, but by everyone in the future who will be able to use this board to find whatever they need.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ASUS ROG Crosshair Formula V 6 gpu issues on: August 19, 2017, 08:36:18 AM
Just wondering if anyone has had luck using 6 gpus on this amd motherboard? All the x16 slots recognize the gpus, but the x1 slots are not detecting anything and now I just tried using ubuntu server instead see if the display was breaking things and not its freezing up instead of not detecting. I tried the A1 to B17 jumper on the x1 slots and i think thats actually when it started freezing instead, even with the desktop version I usually use. Basically just wondering if 100% need the jumpers and if there is any special bios setting I need to change that I have missed. Any help would be appreciated as I really want to get the rest of my gpus up and running, been having really bad luck with my Frankenstein systems ( all used parts of many types of gpus/brands)
14  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / just a thought on: August 18, 2017, 06:53:06 PM
i was just thinking of my unconfirmed transaction that took $2.50 to send only $40 dollars. Not sure how much programming would be involved with this or if its even possible, but that's why i figured I'd ask. Is there any way to implement another type of RPC server for the unconfirmed transactions and enable your every day miner that can't afford to mine BTC regularly to be able to mine those unconfirmed transactions that are still containing plenty of fees to pay small time miners. Again, I don't think this would be possible with the implementation of bitcoin the way it sits, but just wondering if there's something that COULD be done with this if someone wanted to better the network.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / have some ideas but dont know which way to move forward on: August 14, 2017, 11:22:41 PM
Just wondering what people go about starting either a coin or an ico to build my idea. I dont want to launch an ico with nothing in place so just wondering what I should start with and how far along I should be to launch an ico. My idea is unique to the cryptocurrency world and could serve a purpose for every day lifestyles and wouldnt want to give up information about it to people I dont know and get screwed like mark zuckerberg supposedly did which is possible even when working in same location but lessens any chance. My idea would either use popular currencies in a special made wallet or run its own blockchain. I live in New England area in the us which is another issue I am assuming with the ICO. Please any advice be appreciated or if anyone around my location want to make a difference in this game that knows how to code much better then me. Right now I dont have much time to spend teaching myself all the advance coding with 6 kids and a needy wife all while going to work 6 days a week to only have enough money to pay for our house and bills, time to do something with my life and I dont want to miss the chance that so many people are taking.
