1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: May 09, 2013, 06:56:13 PM
what settings did you use ?

just now I am using this config on my 660Ti with 3GB of RAM

-i 0 -C 2 -m 1 -l S56x8

This gives 172-174 kHash/s and with slight overclocking this can be raised to 186 kHash/s

this config requires 56*8*4MB = 1792 MB of available memory on the card.

Not sure why, but those setting crash my computer, I did try auto tune and its now using S56x4, giving a hash rate of 171.

Also the Hashrate drops If I use GPU tweak and select the gaming profile, which overclock the card.

From gpu boost   default 1045       overclock 166
Mem Clock         default 6008        overclock 6048
Power Target     default 100          overclock 110

When reset to normal the hash rate jumps up to 170 from 145.

Interesting. I have a PC where I can run a 660Ti with 186kHash/s (after slight OC) just fine. Windows 7, 32 bit there. I will dig out my launch config later.

No special handling of UEFI, as my code doesn't interface with any APIs that go that deep. It sits on top of the CUDA runtime APIs and that is supposed to shield me from low level stuff like that.

All I can get at the moment is 170kHash/s max, I did use -l 42x8 and it gave me 1034kHash though something went wrong as my gpu was still idle. While I like this program I think the new version is a little bit unstable, so I had to switch to the old version.

Just a bit I have 8 hours clocked and now 7 posts, all I want to do is to make  a post on the cudaminer topic.

edited to add, it works now, seems like the lucky number is 7.

Sorry to hear what happened dude, but I wouldn't let a stranger use your pc, especially plug anything into your computer. As for encryption, use a random string as a password like 534jgkhfgSDFGergf34£%$&%egfs so it would be hard to brute force or dictionary attack.

I`m being impatient now, but I have managed to get 370 khash using the -i 0 in cudaminer.exe
not sure if its real or an error.

I always though it would be very easy for the governments to mine a crazy amount of bitcoins, given the access to super computers and such.
It wouldn't take them long, they have the money to waste and the technology.

Well I guess I`m mostly here to mine Litecoins, my computer is as follows

GTX 660 Ti OC
i7 3770s
16Gb 1600

I`m intrested in the https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0 thread of which I now have amazing speeds, well for my GPU.
I managed to get 272khash as seen in the screen shots below.

Id just like the opportunity to discuss.
