I'm definitely a noob when it comes to WordPress, but I've been becoming more familiar with it.


I'm 21 and definitely need to get my feet wet, but am excited about the potential. Just got to work hard.

Does your friend have any advice on making a living with graphic design? 

Thanks! I really enjoy web design, but I don't think I am yet skilled enough for anybody to hire me. I'm only familiar with HTML/CSS/SASS/JS, I don't know anything about frameworks and etc. I really enjoy front-end work, making it look nice with CSS and some JS.

$150/hr sounds pretty incredible! I'm going to need to work at Target or something if I can't find something steady soon

I've been doing flat fees so far and it has varied a lot between clients and needs; ranging from $100 to $1k.

To be honest, I'm not a professional. I'm currently finishing up my degree and freelancing as much as I can. Still trying to get a solid footing in the design world, but I think I do good work and am definitely not comparable to the $15 designers on Twitter, lmao.

    - Legible when scaled down for mobile use
    - Effective when used in a single color
    - Can be used on any colored background
    - Has roughly square dimensions to work nicely as an app icon
