Our STABLE token ICO succeeded. We would like to thank all of our donors. We will shortly start to close inefficiencies in crypto markets.
Best Regards,

Bitcoin fell ~~20%. Not by the same percentage and not at the same speed (time) in different countries. Plenty of arbitrage opportunities in order to stabilize markets. At some exchanges prices vary from -2,5% up to + 6% versus average BTC price in the markets. Similar situations in ETH, LTC and DASH but faster price action.

Dear All, I would like to inform you that STABLE token ICO will start in less than 2 hours. Please find the term sheet of the STABLE token ICO: TERM SHEET
1. The crowdfunding phase of the project will take place over 28 days between the 03-rd of September and the 01-st of October, 2017. 2. It will take a form of Initial Coin Offering (ICO), wherein Ethereum (ETH) tokens will be exchanged for the newly created STB tokens. 3. ICO will start on the 3rd of September 2017 at block start 4232000 (about 00:00 UTC time) 4. ICO will end on the 1st of October 2017 at block end 4332000 (about 23:59 UTC time) 5. The base exchange ratio is set at 10 STB tokens for each 1 ETH token. Therefore 1 ETH = 10 STB. 6. ICO address: please visit our web page in order to obtain the ICO address https://stable.foundation7. Early participants in the crowdfunding exchange will enjoy a premium of: a) 6% during the first 7 days, b) 4% in the second 7-day period, c) 2% in the third 7-day period, d) Crowdfunders exchanging ETH for STB in the final quarter of the ICO phase will be subjected to the base exchange ratio of 10 STB/ETH. 8. The ICO is programmed on Ethereum platform using Solidity language. 9. Tokens are in ERC20 standard with ERC23 extension Solidity language protocol – you can view the ICO code under this link: https://gist.github.com/stableproject/3f9cb84438dadf1b4160c37fe9fd7b0210. When trading there are always losses. Could you estimate potential losses ?
Sorry for the delayed answer: The losses can come from several sources: - the strategies and trading performed by the project team, - activities in control of cryptocurrency exchanges, - activities related to ethereum protocol, - other unexpected events. Concerning the activities in control of the project's team, they are aimed at delivering relatively low risk as compared to other tokens, so the expected interim losses (that may occur from time to time) are also much smaller than that of bitcoin, ethereum, etc. However, please note that a substantial portion of project's assets will be kept at cryptocurrency exchanges, which have, in the past been subject to hacking and theft. Also, the ethereum protocol is new and may be subject to bugs or security weaknesses, which are beyond project's team (or anyone's) control. Please refer to the section dealing with risks in the legal document, as posted on the project's website: https://stable.foundation/legal-info/

Dear, I strongly encourage you to read our short post on our blog about the results of very simple strategy called "volatility control". Our blog post answering the question "How much could one earn over the past 5 years if one invested in Bitcoin, but attempted to have NO MORE RISK than while investing in equity indices such as S&P500, Nikkei 225 or Eurostoxx 50". The conclusion is that over the past 5 years, despite bear market on Bitcoin during 2014-2015 years (max. drawdown -87% !!!), our strategy made from 5 to even 9 times higher returns taking the same risk while investing in developed market equities. The detailed performance, charts and other details you will find on our Blog https://stable.foundation/comparing-bitcoin-stocks-investment-similar-level-risk/Best Regards, Stable Project Team

if you have Stable existing now, what would be your recent trade?
Over the past several weeks there have been two events, which delivered good results with very little risk: bitcoin hard fork and bitcoin breaking out above 3000 USD. In the first case, good results were achieved with a strategy that bought bitcoin and at the same time took an opposite, equal in value offsetting position in bitcoin futures or swaps. As the value of distributed Bitcoin Cash distribution was as much as 10-15% of Bitcoin immediately following the fork, substantial profits could be realized with relatively low risk. The reason for that was that outright bitcoin position "earned" newly created Bitcoin Cash, while the short position in derivatives were not subject to any value being subtracted. Even now, at the moment of writing, Bitcoin Cash is worth about 6-7% of Bitcoin, which is a reasonable estimate of the level of low risk profits that could be achieved from this one event. In the second case, our software has recorded multiple inefficiencies at the moment of the breakout. Bitcoin in different curencies and in different countries has been moving up at different times. The biggest anomalies have been about 3-5%, this is how much will be earned when the prices normalize.

This looks interesting. Do you guys have a history with ICO? Love to hear more about it! Cheers!
Thank you for the encouraging words. This will be the first ICO for the team. However, the smartcontract has been thoroughly tested: on our private blockchain, in two test environments (Ropsten and Rinkeby), as well as on live Ethereum blockchain. The code is available at: https://gist.github.com/stableproject/a5d86b94db7f62ebd0b2f1c286a23233

Hello, What profit we could expect every year?
Other than a bank deposit, there's never a "certain" investment. We would like our project to deliver much better returns than stocks at similar level of risk. Stocks have historically returned 8-10% on average annually, we'd like to aim at 20+%, but this is in no way guaranteed. Please also note, that our project's objective is to make overall digital tokens markets more efficient and more stable. This could help in wider acceptance and adoption and may, indirectly, create some value for owners, investors, buyers and sellers of the digital tokens.

What's going to be the maximum number of tokens that can be created during the crowdsale campaign?
And 10 STA/ETH is this price already fixed or can be changed?
The number of the STB tokens will depend on the number of the ETH transferred (subject to the bonuses). The max supply is effectively unlimited (we have coded the max supply of 100 million tokens into the smartcontract). The 10 STB = 1 ETH exchange ratio will likely be unchanged, as ETH has been relatively stable for the past several weeks. We may revisit just prior to ICO, if ETH will be worth more than 400 USD or less than 100 USD.

Tuwie2, I read the announcement and the whitepaper. Achieving price stability is the obvious part. I'm asking if I understood the HOW which is not completely clear to me.
On the HOW: The assets of the project will mainly be held in different tokens, but the tokens will be hedged. Meaning - they will have an opposite transaction open of approximately the same value. Profits can be created in several ways, but one of them will be price differences in different countries or different currencies in the same tokens. For example, if you can buy BTC for 2500 USD in one exchange and at the same time you can sell BTC at a higher price (in order to hedge/eliminate BTC price variability risk) you have a neutral, low volatility position, with an expectation of profits because the difference should close at some time in the future - either by cheap/low price going up or the expensive/high price going down. A similar strategy would be to buy a token on one exhange and sell on another one, but you would then be subject to price volatility for the time of the transfer. This can be anywhere between 1 hour to 1 day (some exchanges do withdrawals only once every 24 hours). This could still be an acceptable risk, if the price difference is high enough. Other strategies to be implemented are more complex to describe, some may require more specialized knowledge, such as option pricing.

So, the price of each STB token is 0.1 ETH, quite high
At 0.1 ETH the STB would be worth around 23 US dollars at today's prices. The STB token has 4 decimals, so the lowest value to be owned/transacted is 0.2 US cents. We think this is low enough - any cost of transaction (such as a miner's fee on the Ethereum blockchain) will likely be higher. But i can't see the hard cap, how much hard cap do you aiming ?
There's no hard cap. We can easily accomodate tens of millions of dollars for the project's purposes.

Isn't this similar to Tether ?
This is a good question - we will add it to the FAQ section on our website ( https://stable.foundation/faq/) Tether's value is tied to the value of US dollar one-to-one. Also, the funds that back Tether are a passive reserve - they do not serve productive purposes other than to act as a backing/collateral. The value of Tether therefore cannot go up. The Stable token is different, as its value can go up (but this is in no way guaranteed), if the economic benefits of the project's activites exceed the costs of running the project. Also, the assets behind the project are in productive use - they will stabilize the digital tokens markets and close price differences across different coutries and different exchanges. Or are you ok with the value of your tokens increasing, but you will use bot to avoid any bubble ?
In a sense, yes. We would like the price of the token to reflect the asset base value of the project. We do not want the disconnect between the two. If the price gets much ahead of the value there's always a risk that it comes crashing down - an event we would like to avoid. But if the price of the token increases in line with the underlying value, we're very much OK with that :-)

newbie started scamcoin, one more. to do ico and give no credibility of yourself, what do you think you will get? want quick money and run away? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Thank you for your skepticism and criticism :-) The number of posts and time spent on a Bitcoin forum are two ways to create credibility. There are other ways: https://stable.foundation/team/#team

So if I understand this correctly, the token will be traded on exchanges by your bots in order to achieve price stability? thanks
Thank you for your question. Yes, your understanding and interpretation is correct. However, please note that our bots might not be active if: a) the price of STB token in the crypto exchanges is not materially different from what it should be (project's net asset value divided by number of tokens issued), b) other digital tokens are in extreme imbalance. In such a case it is likely that all of the project's assets will be deployed to stablize tokens other than STB. Such instances should be few and far between (e.g. major crypto crashes), and based on experience, should not last for more than a day or two.
