Zu dem Thema Herkunft der Bitcoins konnte mir auch dort keine wirklich befriedigende Antwort gegeben werden, es hieß, ich solle alles an Material zusammen tragen, was ich kann, zur Absicherung. Näher würde die Thematik besprochen, wenn es konkret würde. Sprich, sobald ich Klient werde.

Ich hatte vor einiger Zeit schon einen Termin mit einem Steuerberater, Schwerpunkt auf Kryptowährungen. Ich möchte nur möglichst viele Meinungen und bestenfalls persönliche Erfahrungen zu dem Thema haben. Besonders das mit der Herkunft der Bitcoins erscheint mir persönlich viel zu einfach, daher bin ich da sehr skeptisch. Wie du schon erwähnt hast, geht es hier inzwischen um einen großen Betrag und den möchte ich nicht aufs Spiel setzen.

Das mit der Jahreshaltefirst ist mir bewusst, die Thematik ist ja doch sehr unkompliziert gehalten. Und es gibt hier zu dem Thema Herkunft der Coins ja das ein oder andere Kommentar hier, der Konsens ist, das ein Nachweis nicht erforderlich ist, vorausgesetzt ich habe nichts überlesen. Wenn es denn tatsächlich so einfach ist, was hindert dubiose Geschäftsleute daran, dieses einfache System zur Steuerhinterziehung in beliebig hohem Ausmaß zu betreiben?

Wie sieht es denn eigentlich aus, wenn man die Herkunft der Bitcoins nicht nachweisen kann? In meinem Fall habe ich zum Beispiel ca. Anfang 2010 etwa 2000 Bitcoins geschenkt bekommen (damaliger Gegenwert waren irgendwas um die 50-100? Euro?). Ich wusste damit nicht viel anzufangen, habe selbst Teile davon verschenkt, ein Teil liegt auf Wallets auf die ich keinen Zugriff mehr habe und von den ehemaligen 2000 BTC sind heute immerhin noch 132 Bitcoins übrig geblieben. Ich habe eigentlich vor diese nun ein Jahr lang komplett still liegen zu lassen, um sie dann möglichst Steuerfrei auszahlen zu können, nur wie sieht es dann mit dem Nachweis der Herkunft aus? Ich habe sie vor über 7 Jahren bekommen, hatte mehrere online Wallets, mehrere Software Wallets und bin nun letztendlich bei einer Hardware Wallet angekommen. Kurzzeitig habe ich alle Bitcoins in Etherum getauscht (ich wollte sie aufgrund eines extremen Dips in eine stabilere Cryptowährung sichern) und wieder zurück (niemals machen! Habe dabei 10% meiner Coins durch Kursschwankungen verloren). Alles in allem extremes Chaos. Ich habe auch keinerlei Konversationen von damals gespeichert, warum auch? Damals war das alles nur ein "Witz" unter Freunden, nur das Finanzamt sieht das bestimmt anders?

I've mixed about 7 Bitcoins through their service by now and never had a problem. They also provide the LoT to make sure they cannot scam people without losing their entire reputation - which would end the service.
This is why you ALWAYS check the letter and verfiy it is signed by the correct address. To verify if the address is legit, simply google it or check the address on Blockchain. You will realize that the fake LoT is signed by an address which actually has not a single transaction.

And in case you missed it, the letter you posted is signed with an address which ist NOT the official address of Cryptomixer.

Also please note that anyone can put any address on any website. Just because you saw "1CrypMixXWtTjYGCM5ZJmyQYP1Y39P7aLM" on the .to phishing site does not mean that they also have the private key. Where you able to verify the letter with the official CryptoMixer address? Probably not.

You actually know that the LoT contains a signed messaged and how those messages work? You cannot alter the message without making it invalid. Hence a manipulation of the LoT is impossible and that's why they are provided to you in case of a problem. The LoT you posted is actually not valid (when using the official address) which should be proof enough that you fucked up at some point.

Nice to know that I am not alone Yet I'd love to see some answer or atleast get an idea what causes that problem.

Yes, the binary from electrum.org works just fine. I just checked and for some reason my build is also about 200-300 kb bigger.

It seems there is something wrong with either my setup or my workflow. Considering there is no debug tool in Electrum on Windows it's really hard to find the problem.

Would someone who managed to create a running build write down their exact workflow from download of the source to binary? I'd pay a few bucks for such an explanation!

I am currently trying to compile a build for Windows using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Wine 2.0.1, following the guide in the git repo.

The build compiles just fine, no errors thrown but once I try to launch any of the .exe files nothing will happen. No error, no nothing. No line of code was changed and when trying to install the same source on Ubuntu with "python setup.py install" and try to launch it, it works just fine. Any Idead what could cause this?

Used the current lastest commit in Github, used the 2.8.3 commit in Github and used the source files directly provided on electurm.org.
