1  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for long term loan (6BTC/2-3mo) on: August 07, 2013, 03:29:53 AM
X-Posting from Reddit:

Edit2: Sorry, was vague on the amount due to copy/paste. Ideally the amount is that of rent, 650, and said lendor(s) are flexible with repayments. I ran the numbers and at 194 for the check on the 16th and 288 for each check thereafter. So that's about 770 by the end of the month (30th) to pay next month's rent and (Hopefully) utilities. At this point my finances reset, and I don't have a stress on my income just to survive. Unless I can reach that point financially, I'll be unable to repay the loan until this happens. If the goal is met, I can start repayment as quickly as the 6th, because the amount lent will allow me to pay 50-75 every check, until it is paid off. I think it's just too late in the game it seems and i'll be evicted anyway. Dannybuntu has also offered 100 towards my cause.

Edit3: Another route is if my landlord will allow me to pay on the 16th with late fee, which including dannybuntu's contribution, would bring the needed total to $355.6. The repayments would be small if this route was taken, but after september 1st, it would go along the 50-75 per week scale.

Did you fail to read what I said? If you aren't planning on filling the offer, do not post in this thread. You're not helping at all.
3  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for long term loan (6BTC/2-3mo) on: August 06, 2013, 10:20:38 PM
That's just it, you're not helping at all, you're shoving it in my face that i'm wasting my time. I find that insulting.

There are also smaller options available, which are described in the modified post. You don't like it, don't take it. Simply put.

The only collateral of worth I have is valued at 1450~ USD in the end of 2011. I don't trust anyone with that type of collateral, as my data is quite precious to me. Worth more than your damn bitcoin.

In all reality, if you wan't collateral, it's going to have to be physical, or you're going to have to accept my identity as collateral.

edit: as far as the job part, again, as I have said for the past several weeks. The factor is TIME, not PAY. I do not have adequate TIME to generate money, and without this, I will be evicted.
4  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for long term loan (6BTC/2-3mo) on: August 06, 2013, 10:05:09 PM
It's called trying, asshole. I get nothing from not trying, I get nothing from trying, what's the difference? The 'try' part.

Edit; And if you want collateral, come to my house and get it. Else, don't even bother posting.

Revising the loan request as followed:

The Assurance: I currently hold a job as a Groundskeeper, this is a "Salary" position, meaning no overtime and 40 hours a week. Monday through Friday , 8am-5pm. It pays 9 dollars an hour and pays weekly. Whomever decides to accept the terms of the loan will have full disclosure from my employer. You can calculate the income from that if you wish, but a rough estimate after taxes is 1,200 USD per month. The loan is half of my available income per month, and over a span of three months. The duration of three months is to cushion myself financially so that I don't fall flat on my ass trying to repay this loan, all while maintaining a positive income instead of a zero or deficit.

The Problem: I currently have zero funds towards rent, electricity and phone. My electrical company decided to ignore my previous extension and average it with the next due bill (Which is the 7th), when last time this occurred, no such thing happened. My phone coincidentally is due on the same day, and I use this for internet as well. I also have a bicycle in transit (Thanks, you know who you are) and no, it was not paid for in an asset which could be liquidated into fiat. I forgot to add the details pertaining to rent. It is currently 630, and I have until the 10th to pay it without a 50 dollar late charge. After that I have until the 15th til I get an eviction notice.

The Offer: I can currently offer 2 Bitcoin per month at a rate subject to the lender, I'm not good with math so you'd have to help calculate your payments. I do not have much as far as 'digital' collateral, but I have done trades with several people successfully, and three people have identifying information as to my location, name, and other various affirmations. As an alternative, I can offer 50 per week (75 would also be doable, 100 is cutting it close) instead of per month.

The deadline for this is quite short, and I'm willing to provide documentation to further prove this.

PS. Modest needs declined it a second time, despite having weekly income.

Edit: Taking into account market flux, the weekly route would be better. It would require a grace period of two weeks, depending on my employer.

Edit 2: I'll try to change the topic, but for those whom miss it, it is for 6, not 9.

Edit 3: Willing to accept a smaller amount such as 1 or 2, in order to keep electricity and phone on, or collaborate with lender to decide an actual amount I'm short, rather than 'guesstimating'

If you're really in a tough spot financially you're going to be hurting with a 25% interest rate over 6 months.  I donate to https://www.modestneeds.org/index.asp -- they help people who are actually in need, you should fill out an application there.

Quote
During the application process, we determined that, though your household does not meet our self-sufficiency standard, your household might qualify either for a Bridge Grant or a New Employment Grant from Modest Needs.

However, on the previous two screens, you confirmed that none of the conditions that would make your household eligible to apply for one of those two grants were applicable to your household.

Under these circumstances, your household does not qualify to apply either for a Bridge Grant or for a New Employment Grant from Modest Needs.

Because these were the only two of Modest Needs' grant programs for which your household might have been eligible to apply, we cannot accept an application for assistance from your household at this time.

Guess I can toss that in the pile of 211 rent/utility assistance 'grants' from similar agencies locally, although their excuse was "It exists but hasn't been funded yet". (Can verify that also)

'Preciate the help though. At least the thought counts.

I've posted it just about everywhere else, but here's the story.

I was an employee of a business here whom recently (Earlier in the month of July) underwent massive legal battles and caused all the employees to be without jobs with no notice. I've been searching for a job for weeks, and only just got past an interview to start orientation this Friday. I doubt the loan will actually be filled but I'm willing to provide reasonable requests to personal information if actually interested in filling the loan.(More personal information, bank statements, etc). I don't possess a scanner for high-resolution scanning, but I do have a camera which can take legible photos of the text and other verifying information.

The loan will be to cover rent and utilities for the month of August consisting of 630 (Base cost) + 50 (Late fee) + 80 (Electricity), not to mention small supplies of food for myself and cat. I've turned just about everywhere else to get assistance, including the government, reddit, and local churches. The last option was inquiring about a loan via Bitcoin.

I'm willing to offer up to 25% interest on the maturity date.

wow, sorry to hear that, shitty situation. So, if you get the 9 BTC, you would be able to struggle through August? But what will you do in September? Get another loan? Or life from the return of your Avalon?

would you be willing to do escrow?

The loan is not for the Avalon, unfortunately, but given the cards I've accumulated in the past few weeks, I don't think i'll have much of a problem sustaining myself through August, September, etc.

All in all, if someone came to my door handing me an ASIC instead of rent, I'd do fine as long as the profit margins stayed within ten bitcoin per month whilst I expanded my investments and assets. (Which that avalon I was peeking at would've done).

Edit: I also posted that while speaking to TradeFortress.

You can buy fake ids for like $50.

An example for good collateral are asicminre or btct.co shares. You can transfer and sell them easy with a clear visible market price.

I understand the whole 'distrust all' thing, but why would I buy a fake ID when I have a real one in my wallet, not to mention i'm applying for a loan to assist me with rent and my electricity.

For the record, I wasn't just lumping easily forged documents into "collateral". I'd also be willing to verify the information in person, if someone's in the area.

As far as repayments, I'm working on collecting makeshift AMD cards locally to build a small altcoin rig (Current one would produce an estimated 1-3~ per month with my equipment on hand). I was doing this before with Terracoin and quit, but earlier someone in #bitcoin pointed me to some valuable tools to trade most altcoins profitably. Not to mention income from the upcoming job will also play a factor in loan repayal.

Ideally i'd want to venture into building a large scale mining rig, as I have the space and capacity, not to mention privacy and security. I've spoken to TradeFortress about this previously, but unless Bitfury comes through, I probably wouldn't inquire about using Coinlenders again for that purpose.

I also do have a #bitcoin-otc account with positive trust (One negative trade from GlooBoy, as he claims I was trashing his rep), and trades with various other people whom would be willing to vouch as far as trust goes.

I was under the impression that enough personal information to eat my life as I knew it was sufficient collateral. I figured you meant 'digital' collateral, which I don't particularly know what that describes.

Personal information won't get you the loan.  You will need to provide collateral.

I don't really understand what that means/entails. Can you elaborate?

15  Economy / Services / Re: [WTS] Extremely Secure GPG keys on: July 24, 2013, 07:56:44 AM
Hello!

For the price of 0.00005 bitcoins per bit (OBO), I will construct GPG keys of arbitrary length.

That's right! I can construct GPG keys far stronger than 4096 bits -- I can create keys up to 32,768 bits in length.

WOW your friends! AMAZE your boss!

Keys are guaranteed to be secure -- I have no interest in your stuff, really, and I don't know who you are anyway. Chat soon!

Seems legit.  Roll Eyes
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My unban appeal to TradeFortress and the users of CoinChat. on: July 16, 2013, 11:03:53 AM
The last time the users' didn't want you back, and it caused just in general a big steaming pile of dung. Everyone was on edge and pissed that you were unbanned. Good luck appealing to them.

Regardless, you keep aliasing and pissing me off personally while I type this message. You're really either very stupid, or very naive in thinking i'll let you back into CoinChat. From me, it's a no.

Grow up. Move on. Realize you goof'd.

20  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Inputs.io | Instant Payments | Easy API | Secure Wallet | Offchain | No fees on: July 12, 2013, 10:25:16 AM
Any chance of adding on chain transaction functionality?

using inputs.io for smaller instant transactions (and the mixing) is great, and then combine that with onchain transactions for larger amounts?

and then an easy way to transfer back and forth...
You can make transactions on the blockchain.

EDIT: If you couldn't, Inputs would be a rock instead Cheesy

So where do you place inputs at in terms of competition to other services such as that MIPS stuff I read about.

Or is MIPS a sham?

Edit: ... Or was it BIPS..
