1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did the MCT PLUS coin marketplace go away? on: July 05, 2019, 04:07:19 PM
I think this coin is dead and buried.  They had a "hack" a couple of months ago and lost a bunch of money.  They "claim" one of their Dev's left a laptop open and unattended at a public location, which was logged into their site, and someone walked up and made off with a bunch of BTC and other funds.  Some claim it was an inside job but I don't really know the facts, just what was posted on Discord before they shut it down.  They claimed they were in the process of refunding stolen funds.  However, they seem to have totally disappeared now.  My guess, and it is just a guess, they were in too deep to refund the money, closed shop and left town.  Too bad.  I have thousands of MCT coins and was getting some decent POS rewards.  The coin was pretty much worthless though.  It wasn't being traded on any exchange.  Would be nice if they came back, but when a coin just abruptly goes dark like this one did, it is probably another coin for the "what ever happened to" file.

Okay, lucazane came through and I have access to my account now.  I didn't realize that Yahoo was blocking his email at the account I had registered but he found the rejections on his end.  Hopefully, he will be a little more attentive in the future and monitor this forum.  People can get a little panicky when it comes to money.  I understand life can get in the way of keeping up with too much and accept his explanation.  I will gladly point my mining rig to his pool again.

Thanks again lucazane.

Folks, I think there are some very serious issues going on with Burt (aka lucazane) and this pool.  If you look at the last series of postings here, almost all are complaining about issues.  I have tried and tried to get him to reset my password, but after a month of trying, realize my requests are being ignored. I have PM'd him several times and posted my issue on this forum.  I know he is logging into the site by looking at his stats.  If a miner forgets their password, is lucazane free to take the coins for himself?  Why else would he be so reluctant to help?  You have no recourse other than to plead with him and be ignored. I am not accusing anyone of taking coins.  However, what happens to coins in accounts that you can no longer get into?  Do they just sit there forever?  What happens to your coins if he shuts down his web site?

I would highly recommend that anyone mining on the blocks factory pool, especially if you are mining with a lot of hashing power, move to another pool and try and get your coins off this site immediately.  At least until Burt gets his act together and starts running his site properly.  The fact that numerous others are posting here about issues, with passwords, PIN numbers and transferring coins, etc., should be troubling for all of you.  You do realize that he could shut down his site without warning and you would loose everything you have mined and not transferred to another wallet?  We have no way to contact him.  There is no support link on his site, as he states, and if you click the password reset link, it resets your password and you will NOT receive an email.  Once reset, there is no way back in unless Burt helps you, which he doesn't appear to want to do.  These are all signs of trouble and I hope you don't get screwed over like I did.

There are other Digibyte pools out there.  I moved over to miningpoolhub.com and have had very good results, but there are others as well.  In addition, miningpoolhub charges only 0.9% pool fee vs Burt's 1.5%.  I would also take a very close look at the actual amount you are being charged in pool fees on theblocksfactory site.  Since he shows the amount earned and the pool fee in your stats, get your calculators out and verify.

I have nothing personal against Burt and the amount of coins I have lost are fairly small.  I just hate being ripped off.  When a system, of any kind is about to fail, there are warning signs before it breaks.  You are seeing the warning signs now.  Get out while you can folks.

Happing mining.

I started mining zcash today using EWBF and have been playing with the settings for hours.  I've found that both core and memory need to be boosted for best performance.  I'm using GTX 1070's and getting over 470 per card so your 1080's should be getting higher hash rates than mine.  I currently have my core at +170 and memory at +375.  I've confirmed that lowering either the core or memory will reduce rates, so from my experience, both are needed.  I also set intensity to 64 on all cards.

Question for lucazane.  Why is it so difficult to get any support on your site?  I have been PM'ing you trying to get my password reset, in addition to posting once before here.  Your "reset password" link does not work.  In addition, if someone clicks it, it resets their password so it doesn't matter if it's remembered, it can no longer be used.  You have removed any support link mentioned on your site as well.  I know my login name and pin number.  I have coins on your site that I would like to recover from days of mining on your pool.  Will you PLEASE contact me so this can get resolved.  The Digibyte.io web site lists your pool as one to use.  You would think that if Digibyte is supporting you, you could at least support the miners who are using your pool and trying to support Digibyte.

Does anyone know how to get the login password reset to theblocksfactory.com site?  I've tried the password reset feature but never receive an email.  There is also no support link as stated.  I started mining here a week ago and now can't login to the site.

Thanks,
