unfortunately no it isn't  Wink if it was you would be beyond the luckiest of the lucky based on such a speed haha, it's not impossible but that %2 may even be a little optimistic. Definitely use a pool if you're wanting to accrue anything and not having an above-mid speed.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / [Trading] Would anyone be interested in an old professional camera set? on: May 06, 2013, 11:43:58 PM
Hey guys, if anyone would possibly be interested I have an old (as in my dad's) photography set, including a camera, the carry case, several different lenses including a police wideshot & panoramic lens and misc gear such and cleaning tools. I will upload pictures in any interest happens to peak out of this, and would be willing to use a trusted third party from the forums due to my newbie status (someone who holds both the bitcoins and the gear until both parties have given them to him, at which point he sends them on their way to the correct person). If anyone may be interested in seeing photo's of the gear, or is a collector of such items, post in here for me and I'll get photo's put up asap.

Note: this is not a digital camera, it is an actual film camera with the above stated gear (a detailed list would be given to those interested) and the total spent on the set was well over £150 at the time, although wether the value has increased/decreased is dependant on the collectors knowledge of course, although I will get a professional's opinion first. Quality of the set is near perfect too, as it was only used on two occasions, a wedding and my first birthday Cheesy.

Thanks!

6  Other / Beginners & Help / IN all honesty, can my 7850 really get me any decent amount of a currency? on: May 02, 2013, 11:24:45 PM
Hey guys, been lurking the forum for a while, this is my 'financial MMORPG' (since goddamnit I needed to leave EVE for a while) and I love seeing everything you all post, gets me through the day. But my question is that I'm running a 7850 gpu which gets me around 250-260 mH/s using guiminer, which I've been using on slush's pool (getting very little though if I'm honest) whenever the computer is on. It's not on ALL the time, but it's about 17 hours of the day.
I also have tried a little bit of LTC mining at 260kH/s, and came a little late to the FTC party but still have about 15 FTC in my wallet anyway so hopefully they might go up in value.
Is there any reccomendations to what I should mine/pools and miners to use, or is it simply pointless me mining? Is there a certain currency you would personally think I should focus on?

I'd also like to point out I'm not just someone who has recently seen bitcoin in the news and though 'HUEHUE, GET RICH SO QWIK OFF MY GPU CARD SO EASY' but rather have enjoyed watching the 'bitcoin financial game' play out for quite some time. Love you guys and everything you do, it makes for one hell of an exciting and fun read!

So spring away, advise a young padawan in the arts of the crypto-currency Cheesy

Thanks!  Grin

Definitely planning on keeping hold of mine for a couple years. Who knows, might be worth something after uni, might not, but it's sure as hell more fun pondering that than the fluctuation on the world scale of the mere pennies in my wallet (thanks for ensuring I stay skint for several years, Teeside University!)  Roll Eyes

Also, finallly decided to stop being a lurker. woo
