1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: September 07, 2017, 11:55:22 AM
I agree to use the death penalty only for those who killed a person. In other cases it is necessary to apply more severe punishments besides imprisonment.

I can relate to that. I find the never ending shitstorm that is bitcoin far more interesting than anything going on in day to day life. I could waste lord knows how much time just reading up on it whilst immobile. I should be out baking cakes for the homeless.

10  Other / Politics & Society / Philip Hammond and Theresa May abandon plan to stay in EU on: September 07, 2017, 10:43:21 AM
Wasn't sure if it was best to necro an old brexit thread or start a new one, but it's kind of a big development, so let's start fresh.

Brexit: Chancellor Philip Hammond announces Britain will quit EU single market

At least on the plus side they've dropped their asinine "have our cake and eat it" approach, which was clearly never going to fly.  If it has to happen, I suppose it's better being realistic about it, even if it means the Tories have to breach yet another one of 2015 manifesto pledges.  I'm still not convinced the average person in the UK will see an improvement in their standards of living as a result.  Particularly considering it has the potential to make things worse in that regard.

People seem to naturally assume that all of Europe's regulations are bad for the average person.  But, if anything, this will result in the type of deregulation that mainly benefits big business and makes things worse for the average person.  Expect corners to be drastically cut on things like consumer protections, employment rights and even your civil and human rights.  Plus they've already admitted that immigration won't see much, if any, reduction if that's something you care about.  Plus we'll probably end up with TTIP, or something even worse, when we start getting desperate the clinch a trade deal with anyone who will listen.

12  Other / Politics & Society / What kind of crap is that? on: September 07, 2017, 10:39:45 AM
http://www.creditcards.com/credit-card-news/marquette-interest-rate-usury-laws-credit-cards-1282.php

Credit cards should be made illegal, shame on the world for accepting such a demonizing concept that eventually ruins the lives of so many. Scumbags at the top are making a killing of us, the sheeple, and those at the top all know each other and there is very few of them. Shame.

usury is illegal.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Virus Petya has not stopped. on: September 07, 2017, 10:36:50 AM
Ukraine said that they stopped the next attack of this virus. She was supposed to start in an hour. The cyber-police seized the servers of the company which is engaged in software for filing reports to the tax office and had about 500 thousand customers. Be careful, maybe not all sources eliminated.
14  Other / Politics & Society / My little theory about rights: on: September 07, 2017, 08:36:28 AM
My little theory about rights:

Each person and each group should and do have the right to form their own system of interactions, whether that is religious, political (or lack of) or anything else, providing they do it at will.

They lose that right when they try to take away other person’s, group’s right to do the same; and that is authority. I only see restrains in doing so, and no benefit unless one tries to restrain oneself.

But if it is you who grants control, power unto some God or gods or some leader well it is your own right to do so, and then it doesn’t count as authority.

In case it is not clear, I'm implying anything from complete anarchy, atheism, christianity, communism, national socialism, blockchain, fiat currencies, scientology, free market --literally anything is one's right to adhere to, as long as he doesn't try to impose that to others. If he does so, he get's restrained himself.

If we can't agree with each other, can't have one big system for all, but we can allow each other to have whichever system(s) we wish to, and that way we can have peace. (And that's a good reason for blockchain to exist too.)
