Any word on which bitcoin debit cards (if any) are going to work with the 10% back program?

Confirmation bias at work perhaps.

DCR isn't on this list? It dropped by more than 3/5 and is a solid project.

I suggest looking into Disk Drill by Cleverfiles, I have successfully used that tool to recover files deleted and from drives that have been re-partitioned. Wallet files are small enough you can recover anything the approximate right size you find for free with the trial version.
For clarity, in this recovery attempt you are only reading from the drive in question correct? Not trying to run or write anything to the drive anymore? The less you do to the drive the better.
You might also consider talking to someone like "Dave Bitcoin" (you can find him easily) who has many years experience helping people recover wallets for a 20% bounty (only on the ones he is successful on).

Can you share details about how you transmitted this transaction (such as what wallet or site you sent from and the fee you selected if it was customizable)?

I agree with what styca said. It makes more sense for those of us that are not honed day traders to learn about a project and determine if we think it has solid fundamentals, then buy and hodl. At worst you are supporting a project you believe in that way, but if you avoid confirmation bias (hoping the project is good you believe all the good things you learn about the project and fail to really listen to the bad things) you can make a smart investment that you can "set and forget" and get involved in the project itself.

It's all relative, $100 is a lot for some people some places.
My picks for that amount would be to get a few Decred while it's cheap (you can get 5 right now!) or something like ESP where there is active development but the prices is just a few sats. There is a better chance of it going up 1000% then the already established projects on everyone's radar.
The Decred (DCR) choice is solid, you won't lose much if any of your money and you will likely gain 250% or more.
The Esper (ESP) choice is more of a hail Mary. That's the choice you want to make if you can afford to lose and this is a gamble to win big.

As an additional thought, it is just as important to keep track of your seed and your password as it is to "keep your bitcoins safe". Safety does no good if you can't access your own stash one day. I suggest putting a similar level of thought into ensuring you can access as into ensuring others can't.

Does anyone know why I would be unable to get into an account I was using in 2012/2013 but not since then? Possible it was deactivated in some way?
I can't create a new account (says an account with that email already exists) but it won't allow me to log in or reset my password.
Guess I get to start over? Is there a way to message support for an unlock/reset/activation?

I agree with the previous comments about disastrous results. I think the "dumb luck" of getting involved in an nearly impossible to lose investment of crypto is helping to hide how risky so many people are being with money. So much day trading, in addition to the gambling games. I'm guessing the Gamblers Anonymous rooms are going to have crypto-fanatics in them before to long.
