1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go below 4000$ on Feb 20 on: February 13, 2018, 08:35:41 AM
Shut the fuck up with your retarded junk. BTC is done dropping.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin prices have decreased sharply on: January 16, 2018, 08:30:34 AM
What is this delusional crap in the past 24 hours? Dropping from 14k to 12k? Seriously?!
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Lightning network - when exactly is it going to happen? on: January 10, 2018, 08:17:07 AM
It seems to me that ever since the transaction fees skyrocketed steadily and the backlog filled up with unconfirmed transactions, everyone's been discussing how the LN could change that.

My questions are:

1. When is LN expected to be implemented? Given the current state of the network, this has to be priority number 1 for the Bitcoin Core devs. So a concrete date or at least a rough estimate should be on the table. Not "some time in 2018".

2. Is there anyone that can prevent it from happening? Like the miners, for instance, because the current status quo is in their favor, and the way I see it, they got no reason to lose out on miner fees. Hence, could they do something to stop LN or delay it considerably?
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ViaBTC accelerator not working? on: December 19, 2017, 05:27:33 PM
Awesome, been outside and just got back home - already submitted the raw transaction and will keep trying to push it to accelerate tonight.

Thank you so much!
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ViaBTC accelerator not working? on: December 19, 2017, 12:38:26 PM
I just decided to check out the transaction on various block explorers besides Blockchain.info, and it doesn't show up anywhere else. What. The. Actual. Fuck?!

The fee isn't that low, geez, it's 60 fuckin sat/b.... Why isn't it showing anywhere....

TX id: 2727e9d1517770c0e6a616cbff5544251559b10924b329a14a90a1f2fac61ed0

Not sure.  However, you can push the transaction directly to viaBTC to make sure they have it in their mempool.  If they don't have it, and you manage to time an acceleration correctly you'll get an error about it being an unrecognized transaction ID. It will be VERY frustrating to finally get the timing just right, and have it fail anyway.

You can push the raw transaction to their mempool here:
https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/BTC/broadcast/

Appreciate the continued help, Danny - how can I push a raw transaction to their mempool, that was apparently sent via the Blockchain web wallet?

They cannot automate that with a script - that's what the captcha's for.

Also tried on the hour and no luck again.

9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ViaBTC accelerator not working? on: December 19, 2017, 10:26:48 AM
Yeah, I've thought about that.

But it was never a problem before - so I assumed our clocks are synchronised in the same manner.

I will try your approach in about half an hour - the captcha is a bugger and I hope it doesn't trip me up, especially if it displays characters that are tough to recognize and quickly type up...

I don't get why this backlog of unconfirmed transactions keeps growing and growing - it's at almost 185k already. Seriously, WTF?

When is this junk with a huge unconfirmed backlog gonna be permanently fixed - lightning network and whatnot? This is getting ridiculous, geez...
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ViaBTC accelerator not working? on: December 19, 2017, 10:20:01 AM
That's a transaction a customer sent to me - it wasn't me that sent it.

I know the 100-per-hour transaction limit of ViaBTC fills up very quickly - I have tried like 10 times already, ALWAYS on the hour, ALWAYS in the very first second of a new hour ( I have made sure my clock is synced properly ) and I literally watch the clock hit the 12 mark and press "Accelerate" - always getting the "Submissions are beyond limit" bullshit.

Never had that happen before, and I've used them numerous times. Yes, if I am like 5 seconds late, it's already filled, but that's normal, I guess.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / ViaBTC accelerator not working? on: December 19, 2017, 09:21:39 AM
For some reason ViaBTC's accelerator has not been working since I tried it yesterday - tried numerous times to accelerate my transaction, straight on the hour, in the very first second of a new hour - Submissions are beyond limit. Tried 10 more times - same bullshit.

I have used their service lots of times before, and there was never an issue as long as I did it straight in the first few seconds of a new hour.

What the fuck? Has anyone had any success using their service in the past day?

On a related note - can anyone accelerate my transaction, please? The TX ID is https://blockchain.info/tx/2727e9d1517770c0e6a616cbff5544251559b10924b329a14a90a1f2fac61ed0

Read up on change addresses:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change

The first address is yours - the change from the transaction was sent to it.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / When will the miner fees drop? on: November 15, 2017, 11:55:00 AM
When will those miner fees finally drop back down to acceptable levels? It's great that BTC is regaining the lost value, almost back to what it was valued at before the pump and dump, but those fees are still not back to baseline levels. How long is it gonna take for the miner fees to become 10-20 sat/b again?
14  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info wallet: Validation Error: Error #-26: 258: txn-mempool-conflict on: August 23, 2017, 10:50:43 AM
Exactly - that's what struck me as odd, all the complaints regarding this error were from the last week or so.

I have no unconfirmed transactions - everything I have received is fully confirmed, and I don't have any sent transactions that are unconfirmed either.

I sent a support ticket to Blockchain - how exactly can I export my private keys?

I tried creating a transaction and broadcasting it manually using the instructions from this topic:

https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/58228/need-solution-validation-error-mempool-conflict/58238#58238

The resulting transaction is:

https://blockexplorer.com/tx/91e53db2b404f766f5673189005cf8022d77bcd3983dcc8c94e497c469bcb3e8

Blockchain does not see the transaction, and my balance has not changed.

Does the above transaction exist at all?
15  Economy / Web Wallets / Blockchain.info wallet: Validation Error: Error #-26: 258: txn-mempool-conflict on: August 23, 2017, 07:54:54 AM
Just tried sending BTC to my exchanger from my Blockchain.info wallet, and got this error:

Validation Error: Error #-26: 258: txn-mempool-conflict

What on earth is this junk? First time I ever encountered this, and I have no idea why it's happening, or what it means.

Has anyone else experienced this, and how did you guys fix it?
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Confirming a transaction with a very low fee on: August 09, 2017, 07:49:52 PM
A client of mine sent me BTC today with a very low fee - only 5 sat/byte ( apparently the default Blockchain.info fee at the moment of sending ).

I checked out bitcoinfees.21.co and the delay should have been not more than 300 minutes ( that was listed at the time ). However, it's been 11 hours so far, and not a single confirmation yet.

I tried accelerating the transaction on ViaBTC but when I enter the TX ID, I get an error saying "Transaction fee too low"...

Is anyone able to help?

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Check if a BTC transaction is dependent upon another unconfirmed transaction on: July 19, 2017, 08:17:38 PM
Hey everyone - I received a transaction a few hours ago, that is still unconfirmed. The person that sent it opted for a pretty low fee - 21 sat/b - is there any way to check if the transaction depends on a previous unconfirmed transaction?

I mean I know it can be done, but how do I do it exactly?

The transaction ID is defa67a4595348f0cb1387104d8cccca755a88d327717a36496f5be9ee6c2f31 .

18  Economy / Web Wallets / 2 unconfirmed transactions for 3 days - can a miner please lend a hand? on: May 13, 2017, 06:55:34 PM
Been having an issue with 2 transactions for the past 3 days or so. One of them has been sitting unconfirmed for more than 3 full days now, the other one for 2 days.

Both have the default Blockchain fee ( I wasn't expecting such a huge delay, since the default Blockchain fee is usually enough to ensure confirmation, even if it sometimes takes a few hours ).

When I sent both transactions, I had no unconfirmed transactions in my wallet, so they do not depend on any other unconfirmed transactions.

Transaction IDs are:

https://blockchain.info/tx/59c708607fe096caa9ef501630e6a0843179be7d299aac7cc975388765bbf63e

Is any miner able to please pick those 2 up and confirm them, maybe?

I tried the ViaBTC accelerator like 2 hours ago, it said "Acceleration successful" for both, and yet still nothing.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: "This transaction has been flagged as replace-by-fee ( RBF )" on: April 14, 2017, 06:13:30 AM
Thank you for the clarification.

The transaction confirmed yesterday - as of this moment it has about 67 confirmations.

You said the transaction can be replaced - it can only be replaced if it hasn't gotten any confirmations, right? I am asking, because I sent a btc transfer to my exchanger after I received this transaction, and even though the incoming transaction has long been confirmed, my transfer to the exchanger is still pending with 0 confirmations for about 13 hours now.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / "This transaction has been flagged as replace-by-fee ( RBF )" on: April 13, 2017, 04:38:12 PM
A customer of mine sent me a Bitcoin transfer, and for the first time ever, I saw a transaction message stating:

This transaction has been flagged as replace-by-fee ( RBF )

What does this mean? The transaction has a fairly high miner's fee ( 169 sat/b ), but this message baffles me. Is there a problem with the transaction itself?

The ID is 9ac722ca8177a5528e945c081d5d9b021f91d4687838e66c82e7b4589173a88e

Please elaborate - is there anything I should be worried about?
