Price will go up as it's repressed by looming prospect of gox coins being dumped once the withdrawals resume. Gox saying they dont have any coins will remove that fear.

|
Its simple.
1. price on gox will start going up as people will be scooping cheap coins with intention of dropping them on bitstamp. 2. bistamp will go down as people will preemptively sell in anticipation of gox coins coming ? ? ? ? 3. Price meets halfway around 400
The big question is where it will go afterwards. Question is, who will sell at 400-700 if gox fixes their shit again? The moment withdrawals are confirmed selling will start on bitstamp and buying will begin on gox

I just can't understand why the hell people are still using gox... Just GTFO from there, thank you Goat should come here and tell what he thinks about gox It's funny that when it's going up nobody is saying that

Look like the correction is coming guys.... Well we're all about long term right? Its healthy to be this way. I personally hate volatility so i dont like the world media keeps talking about "bubble"
We should go up slow and steady not 15% in a day.
There is volatility because the price is almost exclusively speculation. That's a feature, not a bug. The speculation feeds capital indirectly into Bitcoin infrastructure. You are not allowed to say that on this forum, people are going to talk about booming bitcoin economy and quote bitpay figures (caused by ASIC's)

I would tend to go along with this. Bitcoin is way out in front, so far in front of the rest that it would be hard to imagine any of the rest catching it now. However, I am also acutely aware that practically none of the big internet based companies that were around during the tech bubble, are market leaders these days or even still around. Without knowing a great deal about the technology I don't suppose it would be beyond the realms of possibility that there turns out to be some design flaw in Bitcoin that eventually renders it untenable over the long term. Perhaps the computational power required to keep the Bitcoin universe functioning will become to great or perhaps someone will crack the algorithm and start forging coins. Who knows, but history tells us that New Invention mk1, never lasts the duration and improvements are always required for a concept or technology to succeed.
internet lasts

Interesting to see what happens tomorrow and after tomorrow when friday transfers arrive

I smell trap too, as before the crash the rally weakened around 1200. So unless big money pours in, new ATH is improbable in the coming few weeks and this price will be unsustainable.
I've sent wires on Friday, I wonder who else did. Money will be coming around Wednesday I think.

Epic bull trap, or we're going back above ATH.
My prediction for the rest of the week: Rise with slow volume until Wed, then choppy downtrend to 600s, making it hard to see if a certain figure is a buying of selling opportunity. Risto I like your posts, as they are usually non-sensational and have some value behind them, but how do you expect people to take your predictions seriously when you have admitted to trying to talk the price down because you thought 'crash was healthy'...

Oh my god what a load of bullshit
This is the speculation sub-forum, lucas. What I wrote certainly may not be true, and I acknowledge that in the original post. But I don't see how this is bullshit. Do you think the great whales of bitcoin want to harm it instead? Perhaps they wouldn't do what I describe, but you must agree that they would act to *support the bitcoin system* because their fates are intertwined. I think, in line with Speculation sub-forum, that bitcoin is a game to make money. People with a lot of many have a lot of money precisely because they do not stop at some number and always work to get more. A whale with 40k BTC exposure to bitcoin markets movements will do everything to protect their investment.
