1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Electrical power for antminers on: August 02, 2017, 10:18:42 PM
Hi,

I've never mined before but need some help. How much electrical power do I need to mine 5 x Antminer D3's and 1 x Antminer L3+?

I've been told I may need multiple circuits, but how many to be 100% sure the Antminer's are safe? And how much roughly does each circuit cost? Is there any reason why it wouldn't be possible to add more circuits in a property?

Cheers
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / What pool should I use for Dash and what pool should I use for Litecoin? on: August 02, 2017, 10:03:26 PM
Hi,

I'm going to be mining using the Antminer L3+ and the Antminer D3, so what pools should I use for Litecoin and for Dash?

Cheers
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How easy is the Antminer L3+ to set up? on: August 02, 2017, 09:56:12 PM
Hi,

How easy is the L3+ to set up? I've never mined at all before so any help is appreciated. I've also got D3's on the way too but no idea what to do when they come.

Cheers
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Accountants who deal with crypto businesses on: August 02, 2017, 09:38:31 PM

5  Economy / Exchanges / Most tax efficient way to turn cryptocurrency into normal 'fiat' currency on: August 02, 2017, 09:20:39 PM
Hi everyone,

What is the best way to turn cryptocurrency into fiat?

Would it be best to exchange whatever altcoin it is into bitcoin if it isn't in bitcoin already, and then sell the bitcoins? What website would it be best to sell the bitcoin on? Coinbase? Local Bitcoins?

Then what are the tax implications? Is it best to set up a LTD company and get the fiat money transferred into that? Or just into your personal bank account? Is there any recommended accountants who can help with this?

Cheers
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: July 23, 2017, 05:04:55 PM
Would pull about $210 a day if you had it right now.
Shipping is 2 months away. Looks like Dash difficulty went up 300% in trailing 2 months. If the same is expected, you are looking at $70/day profit on day one and declining fast.
It could be interesting if they gave a 2 month grade period like they gave early L3+ adopters.

Is there any chart on any website where you can see that the difficulty has gone up 300% in the trailing two months?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / The New Antminer D3 For Dash on: July 23, 2017, 03:15:21 PM
Hi Guys,

I'm very new to cryptocurrency, but I believe that it's the future and want to get involved in mining. I have ordered the new antminer D3 for dash and it should arrive in a couple of months but I've never mined before and won't even know how to use it so I need some help!

It comes with a power unit. I know I need to ensure that I've got enough power in the circuit to power the antminer. I also need to keep it cool...is there any particular fan that you guys would recommend which will allow me to do this? I connect it to an ethernet cable....and to a laptop or computer, but then what? I've got absolutely no idea. Does the specs of the laptop or computer matter or is it irrelevant? I've been told I need to use a pool...any suggestions would be appreciated.

How does mining actually work? Do you connect everything up and just leave it on and the mining happens without you needing to do anything? Or do you need to physically be doing something on the computer to let it keep mining? If so, how often? How long can you leave it to do it's own thing?

What software do I need to mine the dash, or any other coin for that matter (when I get more miners for other coins)?

Thanks people!
