1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: January 29, 2018, 05:32:31 PM
How long does it typically take for a Zcoin transaction to confirm? I transferred some Zcoin from my miningpoolhub account to my account at TDAX exchange and after 50 confirmations and 12 hours, the deposit hasn't shown up on TDAX.  Is this typical or has something gone wrong?  This is my first Zcoin transfer so I'm unfamiliar with the confirmation time.

Something is definitely wrong. The transaction at TDAX should show pending right after tx is sent. I believe they make it available after 6 confirmations. Contact them via chat with the tx number and they should be able to get it credited to your account as long as you sent it to the correct deposit address for your account.

Thanks for the reply. I figured something had to be wrong. I’ve sent them an email and their chat is unavailable today. This is the transaction and mine is the second one of ~1 Zcoin: https://explorer.zcoin.io/tx/270e15e709ffabca986b8eb7d39efd3d113b94316cc3e96faa85f69db8113820

If you leave a message on the chat it will most likely get answered later today. You can also get their phone number by clicking the DBD link at the bottom of the page and call them.

Thanks again - the deposit finally showed up on TDAX overnight, more than 12 hours after it was sent. I assume this length of time for Zcoin transactions is atypical and probably an issue at the TDAX end?

Same thing happened last week or so , its just front end glitch , when pool operator fix it , everything mined is distributed accordingly , no losing anything , its just annoying that happen more frequent recently.

How long did it take miningpoolhub fix this last time?

I'm noticing the exact same thing and it's very frustrating because I don't think this is the first time this has happened.

I’m mining Zcoin and auto-exchanging to Bitcoin, but nothing has been exchanged some time now. Is auto exchange also not working for Zcoin?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 29, 2017, 03:01:31 AM
is it safe to connect 1080ti thru one cable using spliiter so one cable connects two pcie on card when using 65% power settings

You mean like this

I've been powering my 1080ti's like that for 6 months now without a problem. Cables don't even get a little hot even at 75% TDP.

I thought it was unsafe to do this for video cards drawing more than 200W?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fluctuating Hashrates and GPU Usage Mining Ethereum - help! on: December 09, 2017, 10:10:01 PM
I think it may be linked to a PSU problem

I've had similar issue for my rig, and I've bought a 550W PSU + Add2PSU adaptor, and it's much more stable now

It's quite cheap, you should try : buy a PSU online, and if the problem is still here, send it back  Grin

That's my suspicion as well, but when I switch to mining Zcash, this problem does not come up and the power consumption when mining Zcash is about the same as when mining ethereum.  So if it's the power supply, why is it only specific to ethereum mining?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Fluctuating Hashrates and GPU Usage Mining Ethereum - help! on: December 09, 2017, 09:08:23 PM
I've encountered this strange issue in the past few months where my hashrates mining ethereum will intermittently drop from about 30 Mh/s to 20 Mh/s. Everything was stable at around 30 Mh/s before this and I don't know what has changed to have caused this. When I look at my GPU usage in MSI Afterburner, I can see that there are frequent dips instead of a constant 100% usage.  Is this a power supply issue? I'm using a Seasonic 1250W Gold power supply and that's powering 6 GTX 1070's and 2 GTX 1060's.  I set the Power Limit to 60% in Afterburner for all 8 cards and my smart plug is measuring about 900W of consumption.  I'm using overlock settings of -100 on the core clock and +650 on the memory clock in Afterburner, but I've since reset both overclock settings to 0 just to see if that would solve the issue - it does not.

I'm using Windows 10 and Claymore.  I've never seen this issue until about a few months ago and I wonder if the Byzantium update affected things?  The other weird thing is that if I switch my rig to mining Zcash, I don't have this problem at all and the GPU usage when mining Zcash is at a constant 100%.  So the issue only seems to happen with ethereum.  I have a second PC that only has two 1070's, and this issue does not surface so I'm really puzzled. That's why I'm thinking maybe it's the power supply?

Can anyone help?

It took me a while to get all 6 gpu's recognized but I managed after many attempts!  Now I'm tempted to try a 7th and 8th GPU using m.2 PCIE adapters like some of you guys, but how are you powering a 7th and 8th GPU?  I'm using a EVGA 1200W power supply and it only has 6 VGA connectors/cables and I assume it's not a good idea to use a Y-splitter cable for the extra two GPU's.  My 6-rig GPU is using about 735W as I'm limiting the power to 60% on MSI Afterburner.

Are you guys using a SATA-PCIE cable of some sort?  Is that safe?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus Prime Z270-P 8th GPU Problems on: August 09, 2017, 02:54:57 AM
Are you overclocking the GPU's? I only have 6 GPU's with my Z270 and Claymore recognized all 6, but then it would give me an error on one of the cards and Claymore would re-start with just 5 GPU's.  This happened twice, but I decreased the overclock on MSI Afterburner and it's been running stable since with all 6 GPU's.
