Do yout own research and only invest in good coins. Don't fall into the trap of trying to chase the daily 100% pump - the odds are stacked against you and unless you're one of the few lottery winners, you'll end up losing money in the long run.

$5000 for litecoin? I'd love to live in that world because Bitcoun would be worth mid-5 digits and so would ethereum in case that happens, haha.
Litecoin is a temporary solution to btc's full mempool, we have yet to see how it'll fare once the txs are cleared.

If i had to bet i would say it will. Maybe end the year around 700 as support and 750~ or so as resistance. Im excited to see what happens when they start implementing things like sharding, casper, raiden and plasma. Everyone will go crazy.

I think Bitcoin users are starting to flock towards Litecoin to transfer their funds without having to pay too many taxes. We have to see if this is going to continue in the long run or if everyone will return to BTC once it has its scaling solutions.

I think the positions in the cryptocurrency landscape will change drastically in the next few years. Maybe we haven't even seen the one who will rule everything yet (like how facebook came along very late to the social media market and ended up with a monopoly over it).
But right now, yea.. I guess you could call them King and Queen, both aiming for different goals in the mid term.

I think right now is not the best time to buy Litecoin. It has already more than doubled its price in the last few days.. How far do you think this run can possibly go before a correction? I dont think it'll blow past $300 with ease.

Im excited as heck for 2018. So many dapps are scheduled for release sometime next year that right now i'm just hoping that bitcoin and ethereum manage to find quick and good scaling solutions to support all the adoption that will flood the crypto gates!

I think there is still plenty of gas left in the tank for the entire cryptocurrencies market to keep going for a while. We might see a crash eventually, but what if that crash doesn't affect the coins with the best fundamentals? I think a handful of alts will come out as big winners whenever that happens.
|
|
|
Coinmarketcap does a good job listing most altcoins, but remember that it is not always up to date if you want the most accurate numbers. There are probably hundreds of coins and ICOs that are yet to be listed there currently.

I think 600 is way too many coins for you to research... it would take way too much time and you'd be burned out by the end, not remembering a whole lot from the beginning.
Start researching the biggest/most famous coins and skip over the clear scams such as bitconnect, then you progress from that.

Many people are using Litecoin as a way to transfer their funds between wallets and exchanges, because the fees are smaller and the confirmation times are faster. They trade btc for ltc, send it and then trade for the cryptocoin they wanted in the first place. This is what has caused this recent spike in price and interest in ltc.

Bitcoin is tearing apart the ratio on most alts lately. OmiseGO peaked at like 320k satoshis and now it is sitting at 50k - and thats just one example off the top of my head...Seems like the alt cycle really ended a couple months ago.

I don't think they are going to go through with it, and even if they do Bitcoin is very censorship resistant. The people will still find a way to utilize the technology somehow, and the country will be left behind in the blockchain revolution we'll probably see in the next decade or so.

You shouldnt think of price in terms like that. A better way to measure a coins worth is looking at the market cap.. try searching for lower market cap coins, those are higher risk but have exponentially higher rewards should they do well in the future.
|
|
|
This will depend entirely on if the technology is viable or not in the long run. It is a direct competitor to the blockchains with its tangle tech, so it is fair to assume they'll be under heavy pressure to perform well and better than blockchains if they want to thrive on the market.

Cryptokitties price seems to be falling quite quickly right now, and the fees to breed/sell/sire are very high... But i think the game achieved something that will bring a lot of positives for the ethereum network in the future. It has shown us the potential that blockchain has, even for collectible games like this one.
|
|
|
The question now is if it'll reach 20k, haha. I dont think these forks are affecting the price much right now - people are already aware that the forked coins won't be worth much. 2018 is going to be a great year for bitcoin with so many new people getting to know the cryptocurrency scene.

This question gets asked a lot here on this forum... And no, you're not too late. Not even 1% of the world's entire population owns any Bitcoin. If you consider that fact, we're still in the very early stages of cryptocurrency adoption, and there is still a LOT of room for growth. Dont add another mistake to your list: Not investing right now.

No one can perfectly predict the market, because it is irrational. There are many experts who spent hundreds/thousands or hours studying technical analysis and not even those can achieve 100% accuracy in their calls. You have to do your own research and if you believe in the fundamentals of the technology, start accumulating.

Bitcoin is expensive because its a new and exciting technology with the potential to disrupt a very important part of today's society: the economic model. If we keep headed the right path, some changes are going to be made with the way we see the world in less than a decade (most probably).
