Waiting patiently for Coinsmarkets.com to come back live!
This morning, website coinsmarkets.com can't loading caz error "This site can’t be reached". Do you not believe it's scam!?? This is the new http://185.66.140.234/walletstatus.phpThat's hilarious. I should have thought of that, clone CM website and host it on my own server to steal everyone's login info for if/when CM comes back online.

I have updated the original ANN with a picture of our current donations for an exchange. I also updated the list of pools, along with a few other things. Let's make 2018 the year IRD ruled!

This is nothing but another coin made by the Forknote Coin generator, a coin creator that is based off of Bytecoin. How can I tell? Look at the code! Plus, forknote only generates Linux wallets and this coin has exactly that, Linux only wallets. Nothing new has been implemented. It's creator has a Newbie profile and it's probably the same person that has created other Forknote coins before, then ran off with the donations. The website is really nice, but unfortunately, too many people have created cryptonote coins just to steal everyones donations that were supposed to go towards joining an exchange. Word of advice: IGNORE THIS COIN.

System specs: 6x EVGA 1080ti SC Black 2x 1000w EVGA G3 ASUS z270-P 4GB RAM G440 SSD-120GB
Power is free (don't mind running them pretty good) Mining ZCASH using DSTM miner
1. I am trying to find the optimal OC settings for these cards, while stable. I've heard to try and OC each card individually. How can I do this in afterburner and save the profile, so that on a reboot all of the cards use those individual settings? It seems like in afterburner, when you individually OC the cards, the profile does not save for all cards, only one.
2. Does anyone have any OC settings for these cards so I can baseline off of?
3. The 3 GPUS at the end of my rig are a lot hotter than the others. (these cards just spit the hot exhaust above and get sucked into the ones after it) What is the best way to Exhaust some heat away? Put a fan above the rig and exhaust the hot air upwards? Or blow cool air towards the front of the rig(the front of the cards).
Thanks!!
The Ti SC Black edition series is my favorite 1080 and 1080TI. They run perfectly, cool easily and overclock great. When you install Afterburner it will automatically link the GPUs together so that any changes you make will be applied to all of them. Since they are all the same, it will be much easier to overclock them than if you had different models. The Tis usually run ok with +100-+125 on core and +75-+100 mem. I always max out the power draw to 120%, then apply my overclocks. After I find a good setting, I slowly reduce the power limit until my hashrate goes down. No matter the brand, the 1080 chip can run about 2100 core and 4700 on the memory. The Tis can run around 2050 core and 5100 memory. My goal is to slowly apply the overclocks until I can get the card to hit those speeds. Above that, they start to crash.

There is no need to create a new thread, Yet. Unless the community wants to have a re-launch, but that is something that needs to be discussed. I have been away for a few days, but I am back now and it looks like the HF has done well and SteveBrush has been busting his ass getting everything updated. Y'all should be thanking him.. A LOT
I am waiting to make sure we don't have any issues before we join an exchange. Best thing to do right now is to send and receive as much IRD as you can. Test that network!

I have this board and was able to fix this error by doings 2 things.
1. Enable "Lock pages to memory" in local group policy 2. increase pagefile size to 8192 - 16384
I hope that helps, I was pulling my hair out on this one and finally got it working smoothly.

Hardcoded seed nodes is ok, no masternodes to the people, it is not fair. Wr just need a diff. adjustment corrrectly with by ZEW algo
thanks.
The diff. adjustment has been implemented into the new code. We will be having a hard fork soon. Once we know the exact date, we will let everyone know. Currently, we have a new wallet developed. Here is a sneak peak of the new wallet... As for exchanges, once we implement the new diff. and new wallet, we will be joined an exchange. Which one? I guess you'll have to see.

The pools are certainly not earning more fees due to such incidents. Because the long period of slow blocks and less fees (per hour) now will make up for the short period of more fees (per hour) during the attack. I am therefore puzzled why they would actively invite nicehash attacks by providing a dedicated port just for this centralized service.
so you mean, pools should close nicehash port until the problem is solved? This would be ideal, as Nicehash is no good for any crypto. It's nothing but a botnet. As for the permanent fix, we are working on the difficulty changes on the main network. We are also updating the node list. @nanona - If you would like to help with development, we'd be happy to have you. Join us on Discord.

The network suffered an instamining attack for the past two hours (10:50-12:40 GMT) done over the mine77 pool. I think I saw something like 350kH/s at work. 50kH/s of which are the genuine permanent miners in that pool, so the attacker used appr. 300kH/s. During these hours we saw blocks 30208 to 30406 which was 198 blocks in 110min or 1.8 blocks/min or an average block time of 33 seconds. The normal rate would have been 36 blocks during that time, therefore 162 blocks (nearly 14,000 IRD) were mined in excess due to the not fast enough difficulty re-target on this blockchain.
I suggest the dev team starts to implement a more up to date diffculty re-target function. In the past Sumokoin (SUMO) and Masari (MSR) suffered the same fate of getting raped by nicehash idiots, i.e. centralized hashrate for hire. Masari then adopted the retargeting from SUMO which stopped these attacks. I consider these attacks equivalent to someone going into a restaurant, eating and then running away while telling the waitress that the invoice will be paid by the next customer.
This is exactly what will happen now since the difficulty is slowly (and delayed) adjusting upwards long after the attack has stopped, which means the genuine 24/7 miners which actually secure the network will mine against a high difficulty (which comes too late), will waste lots of electricity and get very few blocks, i.e. coins. They basically subsidize the coins stolen by the nicehash idiot. Yes, I consider it theft because the nicehash attacker is not willing to mine at the difficulty his hashrate generates. That's why he ran away after a short time and doesn't mine 24/7, knowing exactly that the invoice (difficulty) is presented only after the fact and he can leave it to the other miners.
The difficulty re-target will always be a trailing indicator because it works based on the block times found previously. But it must be such that it can react very quickly on such hashrate attacks and drive difficulty up immediately when the blocks start flying. Once it stops, it must equally quickly adjust difficulty down of course. Other coins have solved this very well and this coin should upgrade as well on a coming HF. After all the block time is the heartbeat of the network and it must be predictable and constant. It is additionally controlling the issuance of the coins (inflation) and this must be fully under control and resilient to such nicehash attacks. Hence why I always recommend that pools do not accept nicehash workers. Nicehash is the exact opposite of a decentralized ledger and currency mined by decentralized miners. It's a centralized service which should be blocked wherever possible.
This is a very valid and important point. It has been happening with all CPU friendly coins, botnets like nicehash screwing up the diff. I don't believe the original dev cared enough to actually consider this, but we do! We will get on this upgrade immediately and begin the transformations. It may not be done quickly, but we will get it done. Thank you for pointing this out.

HI I have two questions. Is the IridumDev back here after he told that his father died and then he disappear? If not who is the dev now? When IRD hit an exchange? Someone interested to buy IRD? I have some for sale, PM offer
The original Dev is not here. He has given control of everything to the community. We currently have about 5 different developers working on IRD. I am still waiting to hear back from an exchange, but many of us don't believe IRD is ready for the exchange yet.

where is dev?
Dev i am sure will come soon don't forget just started the weekend , many people are with family! I got a problem to synchronize my wallet where could i get some extra node please? Some extra node? The new nodes IP addresses have been uploaded to the github repository, posted on a reply in this forum, posted in the slack channel and listed on the discord. Do some research, join the community. The wallets are syncing. If it's configured correctly, there should be no problems.

lol, one of us may be in miami. We're really spread all over the world. That's what a community coin is all about. Just be patient.

gonna get listed on exchange soon wallet code will get update and bounties are gonna get started I really dont see how this project is dead ? Indeed, this coin is anything but dead. The devs are working behind the scenes to improve the wallet and the experience so that when we do get on an exchange, it won't all come to a halt.

hey is there anyone? Is the project alive?
This project is very much alive! Join us on our slack channel or discord server. We discuss our progress there. We will be having a relaunch as soon as we have the code updated.

We can add some fee to the Dev group from the pools for example or from block reward. And get a new dev maybe for a part time job to fix the bugs. Pay him with IRD. Then we can start from any exchange.
We have devs working on the issues already. We will notify everyone when they are finished working on the problems.

has Iridium on the exchange plans yet ?
Not yet we have people working on that issue. We are communicating with several exchanges right now. flyp.me is the most promising, considering it's account-less and anonymous nature. I believe it would be a great start for this coin. However, we do want to get the bugs out before we go completely public. There's issues in the code that are causing problems, but we have identified the problems and will have a fix soon. Community, what are your thoughts on our first exchange?

I have updated the config file on github to include the new nodes we have running. I have not yet compiled it, so if anyone could compile it for Windows and the other OS, please do and post a link. We are also looking at the Tx issues. We believe the original code didn't provide a high enough Tx fee for them to complete.
Also, if you are having sync issues. Start the wallet from the command line with --add-peer 172.93.55.213:12007 --add-peer 13.92.140.240:12007 --add-peer 52.14.88.78:12007 --add-peer 66.42.209.128:12007 --add-peer 74.218.51.222:21007

how is it possible for windozxpert to find out from the members of the forum that the previous dev was a fraud, and he only contacted him with information that his dad was dead? I hope the post will not be deleted .. people.. if we are already deceived that we are digging this coin, take care if you donate. I think the purpose of this coin is solely a donation. old dev = new dev lol, You're saying I'm the old dev? I can assure you I'm not. If you take the time and effort to do a little research, you will notice that my BTC address sent donations to his BTC address. I've lost my donations just as much as anyone else on top of the money spent on the website. I also have many emails to and from him. He was also under a newbie account. I have been around longer than that. No, the purpose of this coin is to be a community project. One that is anonymous, secure, and stable. If you will notice, the new donation address is new and nothing has been moved from it. I have have paid for everything so far, by myself and I will only invest more time into this project if the community, as a whole, is supportive and so far, support has been growing.

I have been in contact with several exchanges and I am waiting to hear back from two. One of them seemed very interested adopting our coin, and they may even do it for free, but I'm not sure. flyp.me The problem is I don't think we're even ready for an exchange yet. We aren't finished with the development, don't have a mobile wallet, and haven't gotten out tor nodes up yet. Our coin needs to be more stable before we go to exchange, otherwise it will be nothing but a dump and run.
