update, i got the money to appear and wallet online, now when i go to send it says RPC node needs to be activated or something of that nature.

Once you have updated the location, you'll need to restart Armory, before the setting takes effect. Shut down Armory and then before you start it again, make sure there are no instances of ArmoryQT or ArmoryDB running... start Task Manager (right click on the Taskbar and select "Task Manager")... make sure that you don't see ArmoryQT or ArmoryDB in the list of Apps or Background Processes. If you do, kill them all... then restart Armory. If it still isn't working properly... repost your logs  Ok now it says "building databases" that changed, haven't seen that yet! |

I did try to enter that new location into the "Bitcoin Home Dir:" location. nothing happened.

Your Bitcoin Core does NOT appear to be installed in the default location: 2017-08-08 19:01:15 (ERROR) -- BDM.pyc:276 - setSatoshiDir: directory does not exist: C:\Users\burdm\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\ Open up Bitcoin Core... goto "Help -> Debug Window -> Information"... what does it say for "Datadir"?  D:\Users\burdm\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin put it in my D folder due to space there my apologizes for forgetting! |

So can you confirm:
1. You shutdown Bitcoin Core
2. You set Armory to "Let Armory run Bitcoin Core/bitcoind in the background"... and left the boxes blankd?
3. You restarted Armory (NOTE: Leave Bitcoin Core shutdown!)
It will take a number of minutes for Armory to get everything setup... and while it is doing this it will probably say "Node Offline".
You're running on windows correct?
yes on windows, and now i havent started bitcoin core in probably 48 hours should i turn off armory and fully sync bitcoin core first? |

Ok, are you using the latest version of Armory? You can get it, v0.96.1 here: https://btcarmory.com/0.96.1-release/It fixes a few issues... Once you are running on 0.96.1, you want to shut down Bitcoin Core... then start Armory... go into the Settings and make sure that the "Let Armory run Bitcoin Core/bitcond in the background" is checked and that the boxes are blank as you have Bitcoin Core installed to the default location  Save the settings, then restart Armory... it should then sync up with Bitcoin Core (NOTE: this could take a few minutes, be patient)... and then you should be able to see your transactions/balance Ok did this, and some positives happened! it didnt come online sadly, but some new text appeared below in the dashboard section. my Bitcoin Core should be installed in the default location, idk why it wouldn't be. |

What does it say under "datadir" if you look at "Help -> Debug Window"? Does it say "C:\users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin" or do you see a different path?

the part i highlighted is confusing me to haha.
Assuming you are using Windows, the default directory to Bitcoin Core's data is %appdata%/Bitcoin. You could have changed it when you first installed it. The data directory of the other OS is here[1]. Is your Bitcoin Core fully synchronized? Ie. have a tick on your lower right corner? [1] https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory#Default_LocationI think so, i dont see any tick or anything, see BTC / HD / check mark symbol and some other symbol. |

You'll probably want to see if this topic can be moved to the Armory sub-board... I'd also suggest reading some of the threads there. It is a fairly common issue that you are experiencing. Usually due to BitcoinCore not being fully sync'd... and/or Armory not connecting to Core and building it's Database correctly. Try the settings, and select "Let Armory control bitcoind", fill in the paths to Bitcoin and Bitcoin Datadir if you didn't install them to the default locations, and then restart Armory. If that doesn't help, (delete this thread) and try posting in the Armory board. You will want to provide: 1. The version of Armory you're using... it is recommended to use the latest build by goatpig ( https://btcarmory.com/0.96.1-release/) 2. Your armorydebug.log and db.log files (use pastebin.com and post the links) the part i highlighted is confusing me to haha. |

When you tried to sweep into electrum, which format of private keys were you entering? You need to have been entering the PrivBase58 ones, without spaces, one on each line.
To get Armory online, try going to File > Settings and uncheck the box "Let armory run Bitcoin Core in the background". Now stop Armory, start core, make sure that it is synced, then start Armory.
ok syncing core now, do i need to do anything in core? any adjustments or once it syncs up and gets to 100% i should be good to go? |

So i got BTC sent to me, the wallet that it was sent to was a Armory wallet, i had looked and armory had good reviews and figured that was the way to go, i was wrong. Armory is in "offline" mode, and i cant see my balance or withdraw anything.
People recommended i dwld Bitcoin Core, so i had started the rigorous process of dwlding it.
While i spent the last week doing that I have also made a electrum wallet and tried to get my wallet onto their with various methods (have electrum 2.9.0 for reference):
-Wallet -> private keys -> sweep, entered the private keys and no balance came up, or none of my addresses balances changed.
-file -> new/restore, created a random wallet, chose standard wallet , checked "use public or private keys", entered in the PriveBase58 code, it seemed like the only code that would allow the "next" box to be highlighted and allow me to move on, i pressed this and it didnt freeze but kept saying something like "please wait..." and i actually let it try this for a few hours but nothing happened.
my bitcoin core just finished installing and i turned on armory and its still offline.
Would really love any and all help to get this finally figured out, i should have all the necessary parts in place i think!

Have you installed Bitcoin Core? If not, install it from https://bitcoin.org/en/download and let it sync with the network. im mostly irked that the companies emails are basically dead and unresponsive, and there twitter hasnt been active in 2 years, very worried im getting scammed or something of that nature!
The company doesn't exist anymore. There are no company emails or twitter as the company originally behind Armory dissolved. It is maintained by the community now. Awesome, would posting my log like i mentioned earlier help with finding out why it wont come online? |

thank you but this is fairly gibberish type looking to me lol!
im afraid to do basically anything in fear of somehow wiping my wallet and coins, like ive thought of doing a Rescan databases and stuff like that under the help feature.

Like the title says, i got BTC sent to me, my wallet i find out, since i am a noob and very new to this, is offline.
Ive read a bit around but all the topics are outdated, i cant access my money because i cant get online!!! extremely frustrating.
not technically savy by far, i moved my Armory data to my D: drive where there is 800+ GB of storage free.
i was talked into this and basically my worst nightmare is coming alive!!!
thanks for all help, and remember to talk to me like i am computer illiterate!
