2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Decent Exchanges? on: June 19, 2019, 07:18:17 AM
Binance is still ok IMO. Try Kucoin also. As long as you feel safe and can withdraw your funds anytime, that still a good exchange for me.

Funds are SAFU in Binance!  Grin Grin Grin

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Libra - Facebook Cryptocurrency on: June 19, 2019, 07:11:07 AM
Target launch for Libra is in the first half of 2020. Libra will start as a permissioned blockchain (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc are permissionless blockchain). Meaning, you can't mine it if you are not allowed by the Libra Association to mine it.

You can apply to be a Founding Member to have rights to run a Validator Node. Only 1 billion dollars is needed  to apply Grin Grin Grin.

I'll stick with the decentralized and permissionless coins  Grin

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less price = more profit? on: June 19, 2019, 06:54:00 AM
Friends, does it make sense to take very cheap altcoins <$ 1? I think about buying, but I am interested in your opinion. Will they leave the market and exchanges, with such a strong fall?

Much cheaper will give more profit.
Look for tokens who worth less than 10 cents in the market then review their project and team.
Look for their project and future development and plans. i will tell you to see utrust token.
This is just an advice you can have yours.

Look for projects being run by the founders/creators who have real world experience and have successfully built a company from the ground up.
Those projects will be the champions in the future and will be like the Amazons and Google of the crypto space.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Bear Market is BAD? on: June 19, 2019, 06:50:44 AM
Bear markets are not bad. It's a way to transfer wealth and burn impatient people, burn those useless projects that does not need to exist.
It's all part of the cycle. Like the weather. You just need to know when to protect yourself when the season changes.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Vs Trading on: June 19, 2019, 06:47:37 AM
2019 has been a year with mixed feelings for crypto enthusiasts. A lot of bounty hunters have now switched over to trading, because bounty is no longer profitable.
Some have combined the two (both bounty and trading), while larger percentage are still into bounty, despite not being profitable.
I envisage that in two to three years to this time, the population of people on bounty will reduce drastically, because it will no longer be profitable as it used to be.

I used to do airdrops, bounty and trading. Now I'm just doing bounty and trading.
If you can do both, do it.
Bounty is a good way to increase your stack with just little effort and time spent.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops still favors on: June 18, 2019, 07:19:13 AM
It's good that some are getting value from airdrops.
I just hope that you didn't give them any documents (e.g. scanned passport) that may end up in the dark web in exchange for some $50 airdrop.

Be mindful of the personal documents that you are giving out to persons you do not know.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: You say you cant mine bitcoin with your pc meaningfully... i disagree, help me! on: June 18, 2019, 07:15:09 AM
The odds of winning the lottery is way, way much better than mining a bitcoin block if you are solo mining.
Thanks for sharing your experiences in solo mining.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 14, 2019, 09:27:49 AM
Not news to me anymore, ban btc all they want.
BTC has been declared "dead" more than hundreds of times already.

The value of BTC relies on the people putting value in it. In this case, the crypto community.

The only thing that can devaluate btc to 0 is when all the global crypto exchanges are closed and all those willing to pay fiat for btc closes.
Similar to closing the internet which is close to impossible at the moment
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New CPU Mine-able Coins on: June 14, 2019, 09:19:17 AM
Nimiq is CPU mineable. Best to run with Ubuntu and wallet is super easy to use, just your browser is needed - even on iPhone, Android or any browser, you can get access to your wallet.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins - Coin Dead Before You Knew It on: June 13, 2019, 05:19:17 AM
Hi, I was planning to make a list of Dead coins which no longer used by the Crypto investors. I use following criterias to filter the dead coins.

  • Block explorar is dead
No recent transactions in block explorar
    Official Website is Dead
    No active exchange
Has listed on an Exchange, But no recent trades
Developers announed the project is dead
    Other

I do not know all the coins. But I will add the ones I already know. Help me to grow the list and stop people on wasting time collecting dead coins

Java Coin (JVC) - Block Explorar Dead
EOT Coin (EOT) - No Active Market
007 Coin - No Active Market
AIO Coin - No Active Market

There's this website on deadcoins already -> https://deadcoins.com/
Probably just message the website owner on the coins that you think should be published in it.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You Can't Be Jobless And Be Participating In Bounties on: June 13, 2019, 05:07:31 AM
No one will be able to live on crypto bounties alone.
Bounty is a hit or miss (more of a miss recently Cry) , a reliable income is necessary so you can plan your future and even the present expenses.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson from bear market on: June 11, 2019, 08:47:20 AM
My major learning from bear market:

Use a stablecoin to preserve value if you are not ready yet to convert to fiat or can't convert to fiat. It's a good that the market has lots of stablecoins now. Before only Tether was the stablecoin and there was so much FUD on it. Now we have options to somehow preserve gains/value if the value dips a lot.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thanks so much for making me a multi-millionaire!!! I AM EVER-THANKFUL! on: June 11, 2019, 07:05:04 AM
(throwaway account)

Hey guys, it's time to say THANKS!

3 years ago I read this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1393695.msg14156039#msg14156039

"ok new hypothesis
ETHEREUM is gonna be hyped up to bitcoin ATH within the next year. why? because it can.
The price of a bitcoin reached an all-time high of US$1124.76 on 29 November 2013, up from just US$13.36 on 5 January at the start of the yea
Bitcoin is outdated, its development process halted. It being the #1 spot in the crypto-currency market capitalization sphere with a cap of $6.3B might sooner than expected be surpassed by ETH and its nifty swiss "nonprofit" foundation.

I had bought 10K ETH, lets see where it takes us  o(^∀^*)o

hah haha, hahaha yeah. welcome to Quake Live.

~CfA~"

Crazy AF genius?

so I bought 10,000 Ether like the OP... and then something happened that changed my life completely.

Exactly what he said happened.

I saw my ETH go to $10,000,000 and I sold at $1,080 because my wife told me to. I'm so glad I listened. Now I mostly travel.

Thank you "CFA", thank you Bitcointalk. I love you all. Bye!

Congratulations OP! Good thing that you listened to your wife.
Enjoy traveling the world!

We hope to have the same success story as you in the years to come!  Grin Grin Grin
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your definition of shitcoin? on: June 11, 2019, 07:00:38 AM
What actually defines a shit coin?  The continuous price decrease after listing on an exchange with actual working products in real life or a stable price and a minimal increase in price but lacking real life working products?

A shitcoin is a copycat with no further innovation/improvement done to set it apart from the original.
A cash grab for the developers.

I think there are more shit tokens in eth now compared to shitcoins which have their own separate blockchain.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NIMIQ is coming to GPU | Nimiqpocket Pool on: June 11, 2019, 06:56:11 AM
Anyone mining NIM with GPU now? What's it like?
I like NIM as it doesn't require any wallet to download. Any browser on mobile or desktop + seed words then you'll be able to retrieve your NIMs.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Speculation Litecoin Prices Rises Higher Before Second Halving Reward on: June 11, 2019, 06:45:38 AM
I like Litecoin. I recall converting BTC and ETH last 2017 when BTC and ETH network was clogged and the best way to transfer value is to convert to LTC and send where you want to send it.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A mobile App for MEW on: June 10, 2019, 02:29:03 AM
There is an app but not mobile wallet. It's called MEWCONNECT  which helps in connecting easily to desktop wallet. There are other wallets you can use for ethereum standard tokens like imtoken.

MEWCONNECT works like a "hardware wallet", you'll need it to interface with your fund when using MEW website.
If you won't be buying a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, MEWCONNECT is a good alternative for adding more security to your Eth and Eth tokens.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For How Long?? on: June 09, 2019, 03:31:40 PM
I've been holding my altcoins for years now and waiting for bullrun to make a better come back but I'm yet to be confused that this is the real bullrun since many altcoins don't bother favouring from the bullrun, what is going on?Huh

If you've held on the worst part of 2018 till early 2019, then better hodl now as the bull market is just starting.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold ETH or Exchange with LTC on: June 09, 2019, 03:29:57 PM
Try to own some BTC, LTC and ETH as these 3 have good potential in a bull market. Still a good time to accumulate.
