1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Is it possible to get BTC from TradeHill? on: March 19, 2012, 03:25:13 AM
I stopped being active with my bitcoins a few months ago, admittedly hoarding them for the past few months. Part of them were kept in TradeHill. I just learned they closed, having received no notification from them at the time. Am I screwed in getting those back?

Thank you! Worked and got the transaction. Smiley

I need to -rescan to try to get a transaction to show up, but everywhere I look it just says "use the -rescan switch" etc., never actually explains how. Could someone please give me a step by step instructions on how to rescan on Mac OS X.

Just set a bet deadline and record everyone's bet at that time.

I don't really see what's wrong with this. He even said you can remove the code. Besides that it actually is an informative email. He's just giving you a sort of voluntary place to tip?

OK, what the hell? Now it's showing the address as having splitting the 0.1BTC up and sending it to 3 different addresses?

http://blockexplorer.com/address/15aUzzzm4rX9aRG9HaoEb7KffTNi9cvP1M

I didn't do this. It still hasn't showed up in my client. Wtf?

As some of you might know I was one of the recent people to be stolen from. Right after I created a new wallet and sent my remaining 0.1BTC ( Embarrassed ) to it. When I search the address I sent to that is copied and pasted from the client running my new wallet it shows the transaction, receiving the 0.1, but my client has still not got it.

Is there something else I have to do since I made a new wallet? :/

The IP address is in that list. But I'm not exactly sure what that means. Was the person who stole from me most likely using Tor?

Today I called Burlington Telecom's abuse line and I was informed that they need a subpoena to give any information about the person. Is it worth going to the police? Would they do anything?

I already sent an email. I will call tomorrow if they don't respond by then. I guess I've learned an important lesson about encrypting :/. Really beating myself up over this. But still hopefully I can contact whoever stole from me. For now I'm just going to try to sleep it off. Thanks for the help everybody.

Wow, thanks a lot. Very handy information. Hopefully I can at least contact whoever stole from me.

I thought my password was secure, but I guess not.

I am contacting Burlington Telecom right now but they don't seem that legit to me... This sucks.

EDIT: Wow, what a strange website. Do those open ports mean anything to my situation?

I think they were taken from my Gmail. I was stupid enough to put it there unencrypted, because they were not worth very much when I first uploaded them.. and I just never got around to it.

Does anyone have any information about this IP address: 65.183.151.13
