Personal pool is just a pool I used to centralize my own mining rather then hosting it locally since I move around a lot - the only reason I posted this was so I can at least get more use out of one of the servers I rent. Either way, I'm not here to prove myself to anyone - if you mine p2pool its exactly the same as any other p2pool considering its unmodified and the only reason im filtering people is so that I can limit how many people are on it so that it doesnt go above my available resources.
I have been hosting a p2pool node and have decided to open it up to a few people who desire a more local or centralized location for themselves. The server is located in the chicago area and I had planned to keep it as a personal pool however I would like to extend its services to a few more fellow miners!
Please either reply to this post with your interest OR PM me directly and I will contact you with the details!
** NOTE: please have a minimum 250kh/s or higher
The minimum is just to weed out the people who are doing strictly CPU mining (which at this point you shouldnt even be bothering unless you are running a bunch of machines full force)
Best of luck to everyone!
P.S. I've been a lurker for a long time here and finally registered so I am stuck in this area unfortunately for the time being.
the results you get will vary from person to person, as well as when you correctly optimize your miner you will yield much higher hash rates! All in all, no need to complain there
Sorry to hijack, but assuming I don't have to pay for electricity, is it more efficient to mine bitcoins or litecoins with a Radeon Mobility HD 5870?
it is probably better to go to litecoins at the current time due to you only pulling a very low hash rate, you will see barely any progress with bitcoins at current difficulty
