Thank all of you that cleared this up.  Your replies were all a huge help.
3  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Issues with "Verifying Source Code Authenticity" on: January 24, 2014, 08:20:57 PM
Thank you for the help.  I appreciate it.

When you say, "you need to up the trust level" what exactly does that mean?  Can you point me in the right direction for upping the trust level?

Thanks Again!
4  Bitcoin / Armory / Issues with "Verifying Source Code Authenticity" on: January 24, 2014, 05:34:00 PM
I'm trying to verify the source code from Armory, and am getting errors.  Any help would be appreciated.  Please see the steps below for what I
 have done to this point.

Steps

Code:
git clone git://github.com/etotheipi/BitcoinArmory.git

Code:
cd BitcoinArmory

Code:
gpg --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 98832223

Output from the above command

Code:
gpg: requesting key 98832223 from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com
gpg: key 98832223: "Alan C. Reiner (Offline Signing Key) <alan@bitcoinarmory.com>" 6 new signatures
gpg: no ultimately trusted keys found
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg:         new signatures: 6

Next Steps

Code:
git tag -v v0.90-beta

Output from the above command

Code:
tagger Armory Technologies, Inc <support@bitcoinarmory.com> 1385490661 -0500

RAM-Reduction, Backup Center & Msg Signing
gpg: Signature made Tue 26 Nov 2013 01:31:01 PM EST using RSA key ID 98832223
gpg: Good signature from "Alan C. Reiner (Offline Signing Key) <alan@bitcoinarmory.com>"
gpg:                 aka "Alan C. Reiner (Armory Signing Key) <etotheipi@gmail.com>"
gpg:                 aka "Alan C. Reiner (Armory Signing Key) <alan.reiner@gmail.com>"
gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg:          There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.

Obviously, I'm doing something wrong, since there's a warning message above.  Can anyone help me please?

OS
Ubuntu 12.04

Thank you in advance!

I live in the US and would like to double check with you guys about transferring shares on Bitfunder ( since they are closing to US citizens ).  Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else, I'm just a little paranoid of transferring shares, since I hold a large amount.

Can someone verify the below steps are correct.

1. ) Transfer all of your shares to AMC-TENDER on Bitfunder.

2.) Make the transfer before December 1st.

3.) Set your public Bitfunder bitcoin address to an address that can be signed.

Is that it or is there something that I'm missing?

Thanks!

Ahh, that explains it.  Thanks for ending my frustration.
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Signing a message on: August 27, 2013, 10:39:56 PM
I'm trying to sign a message.  I'm signing it via Armory and get the following output:

-----BEGIN-SIGNATURE-BLOCK-------------------------------------
Address:    1xWZ7j1LEEQ3PPtp3i9ayLghJmNxFWvWk
Message:    "2013-Aug-27 06:27pm username: minerr rand: 108db"
            "b0472965645 purpose: testing sig"
PublicKey:  041ba4335fa1ab3e80dc9211fd9c0d7add65f319bd3c4a4478

            ffa48f63b08a1721e66d4be82ecf
-----END-SIGNATURE-BLOCK---------------------------------------

The crazy thing about this is that in Armory this message gets validated, BUT in bitcoin-qt,  bitcoind, blockchain.info it's not valid.  Try it for yourself.

This is driving me crazy.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some more useful info:

blockchain.info, when validating outputs the following error "Error Verifying MessageSignature has the wrong length"

Do I have to broadcast this signed messsage or something?  What am I missing?

Please feel free to ask questions via PM.  I'll only be answering questions via PM from here on out.
