3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Feathercoin just hit BTC-e on: May 03, 2013, 06:39:47 AM
I must say this kind of action speaks to the low emphasis on long-term credibility that this exchange has and a low concern for customers if they are willing to expose them to such volatility purely to fleece them for transaction fees.  I think some minimum level of responsible gate-keeping should be practiced by service providers of all kinds to prevent the whole crypto-coin environment from being tarnished by unstable and possibly fraudulent activity, unfortunately none do, the attitude is completely mercenary and "get rich" even amongst entities that should have long-term perspectives, the whole culture is rotten to the core.

Looking at this forum FC is very popular lately. They did the right thing adding it.  If it tanks, they can remove it.

I think everyone's just mad because they could have made $1000's of USD if they'd just mined Feathercoin instead of posting bad things about it.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: need core developer to help retrieve bitcoins on: April 30, 2013, 06:02:01 AM
I'm very new to bitcoins and don't understand how it all works. I should have found out more before getting involved. I had someone working with me to help open my wallet.dat that is corrupted but he could only do so much. I've been told there is still a possibility that my coins can be retrieves with the help of a core Bitcoin developer I know that the BTree structure is corrupted and that the Berkeley tools are unable to read it.

I'd really appreciate any and all help! Thanks in advance!

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will the litecoin ever overtake the bitcoin? on: April 30, 2013, 05:56:49 AM
Due to the super competitive nature of mining bitcoins, many beginners to cryptocurrency have been going to the litecoin and the value of the litecoin has increased as a result of more and more popularity. At what point would litecoins become a threat or maybe even a competitor of the bitcoin?

never, bitcoin has a team of developers unlike litecoin!!

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mhash/s not matching what its says online. on: April 30, 2013, 05:55:09 AM
On my GUIminer its says I'm mining at 76.4 Mhash/s and it maintains that but sometimes goes ranges from 71.4- 76 but usually its maintains at 76.4 Mhash/s.  When I check my account and go to the workers section its says that I'm mining at 47.306 Mhash/s.  Is there something wrong with my setup? or is that how it is normally?

try different pool maybe one that is closer to you geographically

OR wait and give it more time to average out , usually they end up being thesame after 1-2 days
