1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SUCCESS] 7 GPU Mining with Asrock H81 Pro BTC + PCIe Switch/Hub on: October 14, 2017, 06:44:10 PM
Has anyone tried using a pci-e hub in slot 2 (x16) and using 8 GPU?  All I've seen on this thread is pci-e hub on slot 6 (x1).  I don't think it would matter because they're all connected on x1 lane, but who knows??  I want to run 8 not 7 but need some ppl out there to make sure

also, which mobo do you all have:
h81 pro btc +, or
h81 pro btc + r2.0

I have the H81 Pro BTC R2.0 and tried with this PCI-e hub but it just could not detect the 6 or 7 GPU at all.
Tried several methods but nothing seems to work. It just could not detect any GPU connected to the PCE-e hub at all.
Not sure what seems to be the problem here.

Any help would be appreciated very much.

I just uploaded v0019-1.3 as both an update and a new image.

I recommend trying papampi's WTM switch.   Smiley

Please Note: YOU MUST SET ADDRESSES in 1bash FOR YOUR COIN SELECTION or if using the WTM switch; each COIN SELECTION or you will have errors.

The file to be downloaded is 30+mb only instead of 15+GB.... is there any other link for the full size of NVOC?

Secondly, anybody tested when adding a PCI extender (3-in-1)?
Getting lot's of issue after installing but also got issuer after removing the PCI extender

where is the correct link

I get a short file 30mb

My bad; something went wrong with the first link.

I have updated the -1.3 download link on the OP; it should now work.

15.4GB or 14.3Gb? Coz after unzip, the file size is 14.3Gb so can you reconfirm whether anything is missing inside?

Update: Ok, in Windows it's shown as 14.3Gb but using Etcher, the image file size shows 15.38Gb. So I supposed it's good to go unless otherwise said. But thanks for the quick response.

I've managed to make it work with my RIG, it seems working fine (issue was with path as mentioned in one of the replies).

Getting around 125 MH with my 8x 1060 6GB ASUS (oc:0,mc:0,pl:80), please share you OC settings if you think I'm getting low hashrate.

Thanks.

I dont know about 1060, but on skunk algo, u dont care about mc so put them in lower value, max as u can for 1070 is -2000.
Up your powerlimit to the default powerlimit and Clockmemory step by step start at 100, wait 24h and increment by 10 after every 24hours before crash.
When crash occur reduce to the previous step, wait again more 24h if stable lower your powerlimit to get a better ratio watt / hashrate.

So for my ASUS 1070 GTX 8OG
MemClock : -2000
CoreClock : 130 ( the 24hours step, i go push to 130 just now )
PowerLimit : 150W per gpu
TempLimit : 70c
Fan range : 95-75 ( autotemp ON )

As SIGT is running good for 2500 blocks after reward get halved, i suggest you to get a stable setting cause watchdog is disable, so if your RIG crash, he dont gona reboot him self Wink

Thanks mate for the suggestions and sharing your OC settings, i will try to increase as per your suggestions and see how it goes.

Will share my OC settings if it improves.

Is getting around 125 MH with my 8x 1060 6GB considered low hashrate?
What should be the ideal for this GTX 1060 or 1070?

Any of you all getting the error when downloading from Google drive for v0018?

The error I got is 'We're sorry. You can't access this item because it is in violation of our Terms of Service'
