1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly was the idea behind bitcoin? on: January 06, 2021, 02:35:59 AM
Bitcoin is created because Satoshi Nakamoto saw loopholes in the "third-party" payment method which introduced the problem of "double-spending". But this simple solution happened to be the facade of Bitcoin as it also gives way to blockchain technology. With these, the idea of bitcoin becomes the voice in the financial sectors. Looking at the federal reserve minting new paper bills to circulate the supply of money and stabilized the economy, creates mass concern. What if this inflation would continue to rise? What happened if they minted a lot of paper bills? What then? A lot of whats makes people in the bitcoin community wary and as simple as that - bitcoin becomes financial freedom - which is decentralized and trustless, with no third-parties involved (government, banks, institutions, etc.), having little inflation rate, a scarce supply of 21Million but almost unlimited due to its characterization of being "divisible" by 8 decimals. That is what Bitcoin becomes popular today, not just by merely an investment but because of people`s interest.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: End of 2020 Welcome Year 2021 on: January 01, 2021, 05:34:47 AM
2020 taught us that we should always be strong in whatever situation we are in life. Not just about crypto but economically, financially, environmentally or shall we say globally:

Covid taught us to be socially distanced from other people at least for specific meters (6m). With that, vaccine has been created, many pharma companies rush to lead the first vaccine. However, new strains of covid has been discovered on parts of UK and other countries. Perhaps, these were how viruses worked - they mutated and adapted.

Bitcoin taught us to look at its potentially undervalued price. With that it took bullish price action. And created Ath to ath... Many people now becomes attracted to invest in bitcoin.

Climate change taught us that we need to take care of our mother nature. With that,  it showed that man is not only the species that can destroy - its our loving Earth too. That is why people effectively focused on environmental issues and submit laws to preserve and protect environment. We adapted...

To sum up these three, we learnt that no matter what, we should adopt on certain things happened to us whether we like it or not. No matter how we wanted it, things always happen for a reason.

And 2021 might be the same again... So welcome 2021

I COULDN'T LESS AGREE WITH THE @OP but i think my statement fitted this thread...
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TWT chance to pump 0.5$ on: January 01, 2021, 01:28:22 AM
If TWT token will be listed in binance, for sure it will pump. After that scenario, sellers will immediately exit the market and the result is price dump. For sure that is the simplest idea i have in my mind if it will be listed in Binance. I am not saying that token/coins listed in Binance were pump and dump, for the reason that its only a wallet supported by binance - it is safe to assure fair market value will always prevail.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: The volatility in the price of a bitcoin is falling over time on: December 31, 2020, 10:07:04 AM
Volatiliy means that there is already established trading activities within the range of market like bitcoin. Simply, traders right now are mostly composed of majority of institutions that provided alot of money or so called liquidity in the market and that sellers or buyers meet in certain price level and are difficult to act without lossing a lot of money on both parties. Thus, it makes sense that despite being in higher high price action of certain financial instrument like bitcoin while decreasing volatility means that the market has stabilized; both situation creates difficulties among them ( sellers and buyers).

In conclusion, decreasing volatility means stabilized market activities but does not guarantee price to go up or down in both scenarios. Prices are speculated in its own direction and does not proved significant correlation with decreasing volatility but to market condition based on bitcoin market data.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can ICOs come back in the game? on: December 31, 2020, 04:45:41 AM
It feels so hard seeing the projects on ICOs didn't even worked at all.... i mean the amount of money invested didn't get much as profit but all goes to scammers. ICO, IEO, STO, DEFI, CEFI, and other means of soliciting money from investors requires risk management and intensive research project. Things that we should take care about seriously.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are people buying BTC @ $27000+ idiots? on: December 31, 2020, 02:58:26 AM
OP, I can't say if you're amazed at people's choices or angry that your own weren't better.

People are buying at every level and selling at every level, this is how the market operates. Wink

They could have bought at 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, thousand and... they won't have another chance to do it. We will probably never see sub 10 000 again. Does it mean you shouldn't buy it ever and keep watching from the sidelines as it goes up? Do what you like it's your money.

Because if it drops further than that expect another bearish cycle. Right now people can buy at every level they want, that is at their own risk. Amazingly to see cause after it hit ATH, again it sets record to new ath - back to back - for just a month. Thus, todays' bull cycle is the beginning of bullish movement. I would say it may correct a little bit to 20k, but think again. Another bullish cycle is much higher than the previous one, imo.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New ATH, New ATH, New ATH on: December 31, 2020, 01:17:30 AM
Another ATH happened to bitcoin price seeing it to reached over 29k usd right now. Are we looking 30k before this year end? Back to back New ATH within a month after broken out on 2017 ATH price of 20k. This is amazing cause institutions have no reasons to stop these freny which makes them also unstoppable - of course aside from retailers they were responsible for price action seeing higher high.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Had you sold your Bitcoins ? on: December 30, 2020, 02:15:08 PM
I already sold out all my Bitcoins, and other crypto.

I don't want to risk. i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.

What about you?

If you wait 6k correction to buy again bitcoin, then you may not be able to buy bitcoin again at all. Say it corrects to 6k, so what now? Did we expect to rise the price again. If that so, perhaps there will possibly some attacks happened on bitcoin network and everyone including institutions are all selling and backing down unto their portfolio to avoid further risk. Perhaps that's the case if this current price will drive back to 6k, IMO.

Well the best thing to do right now is somehow accumulate bitcoin or sats of it and hodl until you need to withdraw. But don't sell all out. The best hasn't yet to be seen for bitcoin despite ath. Perhaps it can go further to 50k next year or so.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eth 2.0 is this the end of bitcoin? on: December 30, 2020, 01:07:53 PM
Ethereum has alot of work to do before getting ahead of bitcoin. However, eth had potentials in the future as it has application to create new alts. In fact, this can boost potential crypto adoption if the latter would act as utility token/coins. As we know defi has been attached on ethereum network. It provide traditional like transactions made upon in crypto world.  So possibly the spot of being second as largest crypto would still prevail and i think years may still pass before nearing its price same currently with what bitcoin achieved over 10 years milestone.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are your Bitcoins safe? on: December 30, 2020, 11:50:12 AM
I could relate this in the past.

Not my experience but there are a lot of people who bought Bitcoin and are not serious about holding it or trading it and when the price exploded, they are posting everywhere asking about how they would be able to get back their wallets with their private keys gone, forgotten, and deleted. Some even already threw their PCs where their bitcoin is stored.

It takes just 5-10 minutes to generate the backup file and to store it securely. This could save you from potential heartburn later. During the early days, a lot of people lost their coin holdings to carelessness. I still remember reading about an incident, in which an user lost 25,000 BTC in 2012, because he didn't bothered to enable email confirmation and 2FA to his Bitcoin wallet.

It proves to us that no matter what, we should responsibly keep on our bitcoin right now. We should neither look for the safest wallet we could  not even hardware like ledger can be safely trusted. In fact attacks can be so prone to bitcoin holders that it can possibly the next topic for next weeks' hacking, just IMO. But possibly right....?

these kind of negligence can't cause trouble to the network, it caused stubborn to the holders lol.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My email and phone have been hacked, is my bitcoin safe? on: December 30, 2020, 08:18:55 AM
Most probably your bitcoin is in trouble if your important information has already compromised. Not just that but by personal data/information as it maybe used on other illegal activities. Or just saying try to contact important person in your life like family, friends or wife, and make some threat in the future or some other blackmailing scams. I am not panicking at this level but mann, please reset your details ASAP, everything can be done in this internet age...
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who are buying all these bitcoin on: December 29, 2020, 09:54:45 PM
Unfortunately I have sold some of my coins yesterday. Not much fortunately but just sold them because:

1. I may re-buy if the price goes down significantly
2. If the price never goes down then I will invest it in real estate.

I am observing the price movement from last few days. It feels good that your coin value against fiat (valueless printed papers) is getting better and better. The pressure of buying is higher and some of us selling in it.

I have lost some of my coins in this trend of course. If I had x bitcoin now I have x - 1 coin. Like me there are bitcoiners who are cashing out more or less. 2017 gave us some lesson.

But is there a new lesson which is waiting for us?
Imagine someone or an institute or a group of institutions or agency who are allowed to print papers (money) as much as they can and putting all in the bitcoin market. Coins are going to their wallet until the last few left.

I hope this is not the lesson we will learn in the future. I hope all we have our coins in our own wallet and in the future we all live in a bitcoin ecosystem.

I think governement/institutions will not do such negligible act in order to hoard bitcoin just to snatch money from retailers. It is not sustainable and economically feasible which the point being is from government perspective. That is why most institutions buying bitcoin and make it as their current reserved assets or backed their company's resources from inflation because they see issues on political side which may impact their business operations.

In addition, the amount of bitcoun transfer hasn't change from the observable millions as these txs are made responsibly by certain institutions playing inside bitcoin market. Government only intervene if it can disrupt current financial system like what happened to LIBRA of facebook - which had proven data breaches and data exposures on most of its users...
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No price correction for bitcoin? Did it already happen? on: December 27, 2020, 10:36:49 PM
After reaching at this price level, I think this is the time we need to expect corrections because it already broke out from consolidation. Normally, market should retraced after hitting higher high after days of price consolidation which is from 24k price area... Well if these current price level will still push to higher highs which eventually further to ATH, most probably, correction is expected to be much deeper.
14  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin climbs the price level to 27k, what do we expect next? on: December 27, 2020, 04:36:20 PM
The most interesting Christmas eve happened this year 2020. Last 2017 bullrun price rise starting November which peaks 20,000 usd. Right now (as of writing) bitcoin priced 26,000 and this would increased further. However, we need to consider that this would correct very quite soon. And perhaps, it can drop further based only on my opinion

(P.S. moderator this is not a speculation).

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1inch exchange token claim on: December 27, 2020, 08:45:20 AM
I have been going a few traders that worth almost 1k dollars on 1 inch and got around 1.3k 1inch token a few days ago. It looks like there are so many people already claimed their reward. People are still using uniswap while 1nch can be an alternative swap to trade. This trend just likes gambling by the new platform and at least you must try to trade into the potential platform once in your life to make sure you will not lose it again soon. Cheesy

Well, there are also certain advantages  in using defi exchange like UNI, 1INCH and etc. One of these is flexible price discovery in buying certain coins/token. Know why these exchanges were to widely known was because of their grandous airdrops. But yeah it is still better trading in potential platforms like Binance, coinbase, huobi and other known exchanges.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Massadoption - Is it ready? on: December 26, 2020, 10:44:47 AM
The moment the price goes at this level means that people just want it more and more; not because its convenience, its usable, or it is the money of the future, neither a technology nor the peer to peer payment but because it is trending. Trending due to its price which of course attracts people to invest. Imagine from 0.24 usd to 25k for only 10 years. It even competes on Dow Jones index in the stock world. Thus, people wanted it more, again not because of its purpose and application but because its price attracts people... and as to mass adoption, people are not ready yet....
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2020, 05:20:03 AM
It seems to me that holding should be a work of intellect. Because the price is constantly rising. I am hopeful that it will be profitable to hold on to it. But one thing to keep in mind is that the future is always uncertain.

Indeed, the fact that most successful billionaires believed in holding certain financial instrument provides higher yields than trading it for a short term timeframe. Though, future is uncertain; however, bitcoin price based on historical data - favors long term holders.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Current market conditions on: December 26, 2020, 04:27:11 AM
Personally I am surprised with the market turnaround today as against the usual trend. Generally this month has been good for cryptocurrency and this is a pointer to next year being a more profitable year with a mix of declination. As it is now, would you suggest that we will end the year in green or we have more pull backs.?
Share your opinions.

Many promininent traders are looking forward on 2020 as the year where cryptocurrency blow the market given that traditional economic set up faced market devaluation and under economic problems. Pandemic is one among those fortuitous events which impacted us whole.
Looking at cryptocurrency market condition, we can assume that it turned out to be disappointing. Despite bitcoin spike, xrp faced SEC issues, defi scams are overwhelming the market; and these results to an overall market findings. Findings that proved lack or incompliance on certain expectations should we see to legally compete against traditional market.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: TWT x Binance Exchange on: December 26, 2020, 03:10:36 AM
I got mine too, thanks for the information and binance have to remove some portion to cover the gas fee, now I have less than 100 TWT in my bnb smart chain wallet, I hope this coin can be more valuable in the future, right now the value is around 10$, not that bad though
if TWT was doing more burn to its token and it would make the price of TWT token goes even higher. I received mine too. TWT is not yet listed on the major exchange site and this coin has more chance to go even higher than the current price. $10 was the total value for your TWT airdrop.

I agree..

Listing at Binance would be TWT first milestone to grow its current price. As for TWT airdrop, its sad to say but I didn't received yet. My collegues had received their free money... anyway i bought some TWT at binance dex so no worries.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happiness in bitcoin on: December 25, 2020, 09:25:51 AM
I think buyers of bitcoin at lower price consider this day a success on  their asset portfolio because they invested the best working asset this era has ever been provided. In fact these is what happened right now even in bitcoin community. I for myself hold a small amount of bitcoin but despite that I'm still happy since the thing I believed in worked nearly perfect. With current economic issues turned money into stones, bitcoin community cherished because they are investing bitcoin and that proved the invulnerability in certain financial turbulence - evidenced of it were their money growing alongside worldwide pandemic which obviously should impacted them worst, but because of bitcoin....!
