Sorry, I meant when I was typing in my private key. some letters would be entered and some just show up at all. im using android. 1) the app is NOT running mainnet, so it won't work with realnet addresses (which start with N) 2) private keys only contain numbers 0-9 and letters a-f |

Hello, where I can find infos about the requirements for a XEM-Supernote? (Hardware, Uploadspeed,.. ect.) ... how much I will earn? ..is it possible to run more than 1 Supernote on my PC (if I have for example +6.000.000 XEM) I dont want to spend 2h to setup a supernote, and at the end I get the message that mit Uploadspeed is too low,....or I earn less XEM than I will pay for electricity. ..sorry for my bad eglish  As said, we are in testing phase and still looking for the right thresholds for all these parameters. Bug to get an idea, I would suggest to use a machine that has at least 2 GB RAM, single core CPU is ok (if not really weak, this is usually a big problem for many VPSes because they dont give you much details...) and an upload of at least 10 Mbps. |

Your importance to the network is not just based on how much you hold.
It's based on a number of things and the balance is just one of them. One is how often you transact with others, correct another is if you keep open a reliable node...etc wrong The amount of harvested blocks are completely indepent from the fact if you run a reliable node or not. We do have a supernode program in the works though, but that has nothing to do with harvesting/POI: http://blog.nem.io/supernodes/Supernodes are still in development, we are in an open beta phase at this time. So don't expect any rewards yet. If you held millions of XEM and then did nothing with it, your importance to the network would quickly drop.
Since the balance is one of the parameters which affect your importance score, it will not "quickly drop" if you have millions. But it WILL decrease if you dont transfer, that is correct. Mabe this isn't clear for you, too: There are no block rewards. You only earn the fees inside the block which you harvested ("mined" in Bitcoin language). Why don't people that are having problems with NCC (mostly problems that have been explained/solved 100 times over by the way...no offense) just use the standalone lightwallet ? That's exactly why they made it. NCC has a shitty UX. The lightwallet literally couldn't be any simpler. My wallet has been working 100% fine since day 1 until the last week when all sorts of crap has happened for no reason. Yes i should ask on the nem forums but havnt registered yet and im sick of signing up to countless forums for all the coins i hold etc, but NEM is one forum i should register on. Anyway, i havnt seen anyone else reporting my issue, but i will ask on the nem forums if i will get more help there. Ive also been concerned about security with the light wallet as mentioned here, so i would rather just use NCC if possible. Dont know whats so shitty with NCC, its been absolutley great for me (until now! lol) Im also interested in hosting a node, since im in New Zealand, it would be great to have some nodes running down here  What is your problem? I posted my problem on the previous page but basically now i cant get into my wallet, it says at the top of my browser in a red bar that NIS is not running, even when the tray icon menu says it is. Don't trust any exchange with your XEM, they're much safer in a wallet!
Remember Mt Gox, mintpal, cryptsy (http://blog.cryptsy.com/) , just to name a few...
Setting up a lightwallet literally only takes two minutes! Make sure you backup your private key somewhere safe!Remember, as long as you have your private key you will be able to gain access to your account. (Obviously if you can anyone else can so keep it safe ! ) word! |

There is a LOT of stuff you are probably not aware of that has killed this coin over its lifespan, year late deadlines, silly projects, and scamming developers, etc... This is going too far. Wrong accusations like this, without explaining why you think like this is not ok. I know how much time and effort was spent on making sure everything is as fair as possible. I personally invested a LOT of time in this too, so I understand your post as a personal insult. If you do not explain in an objective manner why you write stuff like this, I'll think about blocking you in this thread. |
