1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: September 22, 2017, 03:38:41 AM
How do you calculate those fees? poloniex for instance has 0.15%/0.25% maker/taker fees. Not to mention they go down the more you trade

Poloniex: 0.15% + 0.25% = 0.4%
Bittrex: 0.25% + 0.25% = 0.5%
WCX: -0.05% + 0.15% = 0.1%

For WCX the maker fee is a payment to the maker, not a charge.

that is not how maker taker fees work both parties may be makers or takers in a trade. It is about making or removing liquidity. But ok 0.15% vs 0.25% taker fees, and no maker fees are decent not earth shattering

Team from Apple --> secrecy, no product announcements, rumors, leaks, etc. until the final product is revealed and puts all speculation to rest.

Apple leaks left and right these days months before revealing a product
But anyway not disclosing the developers makes total sense, having absolutely nobody as public face is another if you want to receive money
I want this project to succeed but the more you dig into it the fees are not that much lower and the team are ghosts no wonder people worry
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Putin getting ready to kick Bitmain's ass on: September 22, 2017, 02:20:42 AM
Until someone invents a better system, the more hashrate and the more competition between hashrate the better for Bitcoin, so I say bring it on Putin.

Several coins have done just that already but nobody cares, bitcoin has the name and the fame it will always be the supreme leader
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: September 22, 2017, 02:16:49 AM
Besides the scam infested slack, the ico went really well. Glad the smaller guys got a chance.

If the Korean gov doesn't crack down on crypto we have ourselves a green future.

7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: help with Identifying breakoutboard on: September 05, 2017, 04:13:28 PM
Thank you for the reply, it has an FCI logo
and both have this written on them:

10108888-R102S3SLF P242626P11.

Sadly none of the PSU's you linked I can obtain at a reasonable price.
you wouldn't happen to make a breakout board for this guy?

https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/376551/hp-2250w-iec-c20/specificaties/

such a steal
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: help with Identifying breakoutboard on: September 02, 2017, 07:41:01 PM
Lurking around I found this, that is clearly the type of connector mine has
but no way I can obtain a bladecenter psu cheaply. Gues I just have to get an ATX PSU since I can't really find breakout boards cheaply in europe and customs has an eye out for me if I import

I paid more shipping and customs costs than for the actual miner

I've tried every search possible to locate the "power backplane" for that power supply. Do you know the part number or have any suggestions? It looks like it might be a part of the chasis backplane assembly, but of course we're only interested in the plugs/connectors for the psu.

How many positions has the connector have?

1. There's this one from Digikey, but it has only 35 positions i.e 24 signal and 11 power.
http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/51667-XX001LF/609-2082-ND/1002397

2. This one is 24 signal and 12 power
http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/3-6450860-5/A108375-ND/4022487

3. This is also 24 signal 12 power, but has a twist to it ... seems to be a male one

they use 1100 watt

But that should not really matter I am just clueless what PSU those 2 weird connectors fit on
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / help with Identifying breakoutboard on: September 02, 2017, 05:33:06 PM
I bought a second hand asic and it had a breakout board included

The seller is not responding anymore so I have no idea for what PSU it is

Could anyone try to identify what psu this breakoutboard is for? If you want close up pictures from anything let me know

Any help would be appreciated

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TrueFlip - Become a part of the world's largest blockchain lottery +Bounty on: August 14, 2017, 02:35:24 AM
I didn't buy intentionally in crowdfunding now waiting for the distribution to be completed and people will hurry to sell at normal exchanges. I gambled seeing people cashing out in previous ICO's and buying at exchanges is more profitable and reasonable these days. I hope I will get more tokens with same amount. I am with eyes on the progress.

that is why ico's give extra coins to early investors but you may be right most of them crash as soon as they hit exchanges anyway
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TrueFlip - Become a part of the world's largest blockchain lottery +Bounty on: August 10, 2017, 10:02:28 AM
When will we have an exchange?

That's a million dollar question we all are waiting for, but the team looks to be busy with the issues of withdrawal post the ICO.Also, it is really disappointing not to see true flip tokens not available on an even a small exchange after these many days of the ICO completion.Let's hope they get to some exchange in the coming days.

Seems they are already on hitbtc exchange
Was a bit worried as well from the long downtime. Hope to see them back up again soon

I am a bit reluctant to use the exchange since the price there is not realistic and most of the new tokens with IOU are traded with 10-20x price and it does not reflect the actual volume of each token. We need to have an exchange with good volumes like bittrex or even Chinese exchanges are good for a great start.

0.0236 btc volume is not that bad but you are right, I can't even send my tokes cause they are still on the website

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 10, 2017, 08:38:23 AM
How can I tell claymore miner to ignore one gpu?
and alternativly to mine something else on one gpu.

so far I have been disabling the gpu in device manager when launching claymore but that is kinda silly

In your start up bat put the -di command followed by the gpu's you want active. ie: -di 01234 would activate the first 5 GPU' for mining.

thank you but it still tries to write the DAG buffer on all the gpu's first, while not mining on it. The harm for me is then already done
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 10, 2017, 12:43:45 AM

TIMEOUT 40
@echo off
set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=0
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
@echo on

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -esm 1 -ewal 0**************9.comp -epsw x  -di 01245

Not what I asked for but this put me on the right path, For anyone interested in temporarily disabling a gpu from cmd;

Download the microsoft devcon tool
Copy the Matching Device Id field in device manager properties of the gpu

Open a command-prompt in your devcon map
Run this command:
devcon findall * | find /i " said device ID " > "%temp%\devcon.txt"
Open the file %temp%\devcon.txt and find your device

Copy the ID (you only need up until the end of the SUBSYS field) and put it between ""
devcon disable " ID from devcon.txt "

I had to put the enable command in a separate bat file that launches near the end. with a timeout to re enable after it starts mining

final code:

TIMEOUT 2
cd\
cd Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Tools\x64
devcon disable "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1381&SUBSYS_8A9...."

cd\
cd Program Files\claymoreminer
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

start cmd /k Call reenable750.bat 4444

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.o........

If anyone knows a more elegant way feel free to let me know
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Putin getting ready to kick Bitmain's ass on: August 09, 2017, 06:54:29 PM
Yey more bitcoin miners. (insert sarcasm here)
To be honest, bitcoin mining is wasteful and it totally just doesn't do anything else but produce, well, bitcoins. Just think about it, a miner just mines bitcoins and nothing else really. It just tries to create digital gold which is totally useless in practical use but we value it based on how much we want to pay for it (supply and demand). No, russia has so much excess power, so why not just sell it to industries that will totally make use of it in better things. Though don't get me wrong, I love bitcoins. I really believe this is the future, but not how it is acquired.

The first stage is to get an economy of people going that actually mine, the second stage is to use that foundation and only use it for useful things = calculating transactions, for now that is a side earning but with ever increasing difficulty it will soon become the main source of income for miners

@cryptocointrading

5,000 people in the beta they can raise $100M or more from that alone if other ICOs are any indication. also if you're planning to do the ICO just sign up for the beta or I'm pretty sure they 'll find a way to give you access to the exchange pre ICO.

pre-ICO is escrowed it's in the thread a hundred times please read

I applied for 3 languages oddly my 4th language is not in the list although the translation was made. Got no reply for any, They mention escrow yes but like their real names they keep saying it will be announced "soon"

so far I have been disabling the gpu in device manager when launching claymore but that is kinda silly

press 0-9 in claymore when it is active 0 shuts down mining on gpu 0   1 on gpu 1 and so on

Or if you have 6 gpus and you do not want to use one set -di 0,1,2,4,5 in bat file. In this case the program will not mine with fourth card

thanks for the replies but it is not working. The reason I want this, is due to a lack of ram on that one gpu
claymore still tries to make the DAG and there simply is no ram for it resulting in total failure

alternatively anyone have an idea to make the bat file disable one gpu for 1minute, that would make claymore fail to recognize it
-di 01245 Do it like this

set -di 024
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

still tries to write the buffer for DAG to the gpu memory even when manually pressing 1 and telling me mining is disabled on that card
