1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 20, 2013, 10:56:36 PM

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Ask You] First steps to create an alt-coin ? on: December 20, 2013, 09:16:54 PM
Hey guys,

I'm willing to create a new alt-coin for fun, my C++ skills are pretty low (who said non-existent?) but I could learn and/or be helped by someone else.
What are the first steps ? I've seen this tuto https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225690.0 but some are saying they are missing parts.
Anyone could help me out on this ? By giving me links or partenering with me ? I could pay for (true) help. Have 50k doge, 3LTC, or I could also pay $

Thanks

4  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.3, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: November 29, 2013, 12:59:51 PM
Hi Milone,

Im currently mining LTC with CGWatcher with my HD5850.
Core Clock is 725 and Memory clock is 1000.
Hashrate is 270 kh/s while set up to 15 intensity. Temperature is 85C.

I want to edit core and memory clock to enhance gpu power and hashrate. But when I try to edit core from 725 to 730, it only lasts few second before going back to 725 again. I cant maintain my core clock to another amount.

Do you know why and can you please help me out ?

Thanks,
Gabriel.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / What server to run a pool ? on: June 07, 2013, 11:28:49 AM
Hi,

I've created a small pool that wont get more than 200GH/s. What server would be able to run this kind a pool with 2-3k miners on it ? Do you have links to buy
Does the server needs to be powerful because the hashrate is high or because there are alot of miners ? FOr instance, a pool with 200GH/s and 5 miners and a pool with 100GH/s and 5k miners, wish pool needs the best server ? So, does that depends on number of miners or hashrate ?

Thanks

Merci
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Does mining slowes the pc ? on: May 19, 2013, 01:54:51 AM
Hi,

I've been trying to mine for a big pool last few days and i noticed that my computer is not getting slower or anything. Eventhough my GPU is working hard for mining. How come ?
In other hand, my pc's fans are being noisy while mining.

So, does mining slow computers or not ?

Thanks

Do you know the specificity that the server will need to handle 50k PC's ?

Is this the better solution ? Buy a customize server on a host compagny (OVH looks OK for this, right ?) ? Or it may be better if we buy our own stuff.

Hello,

My team want to run a mining pool and we are trying to get some informations.

What server should we use ? Is it better to get a dedicated server or should we buy our own ? Server has to be fully secure and anonymous and also powerful. We are aiming about 50'000 or 100'000 PC's running for the pool.

What is the best solution for a powerful and anonymous server ?

Thank you very much.
