Hi Devs,

Have you test Polaris and Vega at Progpow ??

Because U are the Expert on AMD Card

Could GUI version running and apply at startup ?

Because it did not change anything yet if run at start up, so must apply it manually

CLi version only change REF, rfc and others not chamge

Just test it with Polaris, that did not work

Is there any solution for the non ref 56 cards that have a default of 800 mem and can’t go past 900-950?

I got four of these crap cards any thoughts ? Three are red devil 56 power colors and one is a sapphire pulse
If you're lucky, you might find a Vega 64 vbios for that same card (if they made em both 56 & 64), which is unique.. not much out there, Pulse, only 56 afaik.

That however doesn't mean they're crappy, i've got a Sapphire Pulse with Hynix memory and it's running smooth at 47~Mh (memory at 975).
Got a Samsung Vega56 too and hits 48+Mh..

The thing is, they only have 6 SOC states, so it gets auto forced into a lower memory state (800MH), you can see this in the tool..
Vega 64 has 8 SOC states, therefor it goes to the highest memory state (1000Mh).

is there way to apply straps like the claymore miner ?
for polaris

GUI version has an export/import feature, you can use that.. "kind" of the same.

Wow...975 mclock, Wattage ?
Soft PP or 64 bios ?

Btw Wonderful

Hello,

I have strange problem with one rig with 3 vega 64 liqued cooling.
I try many memory tweaks with latest memtweak cli and got 51,5 Mh/s on each vega, but pools (ethermine, 2miners, miningpoolhub) show disconected status. But if I lucky and pool accept connections -> low end pool hashrate
HBM2 1100 and CORE 1050 on all three cards (Win10x64 1809). Tried claymore and phoenix. Coins - etc, eth, exp
When i reset timings - all card hashing without problems on pool.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

I'm not able to reproduce this, just to be sure i let my Vega 64 run at 53Mh for half an hour, pool hashrate was spot on.

What are your timings?

Cheers!

I made a good set up for my two vega 56@64,i get 2350 hash each, but my pc lag, stuck when I do anything even when I move mouse, I use red team miner, the amd mem tweak tool, win 10 pro 64,drivers 19.4.1,19.42.
what's  your setup, can you share it, and what card you own?
happy mining my friend!thanks to Eviolp!

Wow excellent

Watt at the wall and GPU Z/ hwinfo ?

So Now

Do research about profitable with this Great Tweaking of the Decade,

ETHASH or CNR ?

So, CNR must be perfect in tuning, then hashrate got reward in good shares

Beside that, Pool eficiency must be good, so mining profitable

--RRDS 3 --RRDL 3 then GPU with high OCL and Intensity dead, --RRDS 5 --RRDL 5  stable

Ethash is even better than cn-trtl wrt being able to drop core clock on vega.  Where you may lose 5+% h/r on trtl by going to cclock p0 (852mhz), I saw zero h/r loss on ethash when doing the same, at least w/ stock timings.  Should allow you to get your voltage down significantly - closer to 800mv.
why do you need such low gpu clocks if vega is perfectly capable of higher clocks with <800mv voltage?

it is vega56 pulse with hynix 20.5kh/s turtle btw
vega56 ref samsung can do the same ...

Wow, with Soft PP or AMD tweaking ?

Great info
19.4.1 drivers allow you to control and disable (grey) all p-states via ODNT! (except mem p2 voltage)
Just set mem P2 voltage to 800 with softpowerplay ))

And make working freq ~1200
Than test stability, than apply timings  -rc 37 --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rp 13 --faw 16 --rtp 4 --rrds 3 --rrdl 3 --CWL 6 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --REF 12800

Use --cn_config L22+22 or --cn_config L20+20 for teamred ))

And last but not least - screen of overnight testing no hw errors and h/r on the pool is ok

Greatttt, thanks for the Enlightment

Vega 64, aircooled, samsung:

  • Highest Hashrate impact : lower RC (good cards : 44, lower cards 45) - too low leads to invalid shares
  • RP has high impact on stabilty, but low impact on hashrate (preferred 12 as average for stability) -- too low leads to gpu crash withing minutes
  • Second highest HR impact : lower RFC (248) - too low crashes cards
  • Having RRDS and RRDL as same value helps in stability
  • Better to leave CL unimpacted in my tests, it is pretty much linked to all values.
  • There are some hidden param that are not exposed by the tool, so it is advised that if you are not gonna change a value, dont use that param to set the default value, ignore the parameter
  • Normal memory overclock plays a huge part in this tuning. 1107mhz is the highest you can reach without breaking the SOC barrier. You must have a stable non invalid shares throwing OC b4 appling the timing.
  • My 6 cards timing and OC:
    • 1. 1107 : --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rc 44 --rp 12 --rrds 3 --rrdl 3 --rfc 248 : Valid Shares : Highest OC, Timing
    • 2. 1107 : --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rc 44 --rp 12 --rrds 3 --rrdl 3 --rfc 248 : Valid Shares : Highest OC, Timing
    • 3. 1050 : --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rc 44 --rp 12 --rrds 3 --rrdl 3 --rfc 248 : Highest Timing, Invalid Shares if 1107 OC - 1 invalid per 10 mins
    • 4. 1050 : --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rc 44 --rp 12 --rrds 3 --rrdl 3 --rfc 248 : Highest Timing, Invalid Shares if 1107 OC - 1 invalid per 10 mins
    • 5. 1107 : --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rc 45 --rp 12 --rrds 3 --rrdl 3 --rfc 248 : Highest OC, Invalid Shares if --rc 44 - 1 invalid per 4 hours
    • 6. 1107 : --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rc 45 --rp 12 --rrds 3 --rrdl 3 --rfc 248 : Highest OC, Invalid Shares if --rc 44 - 1 invalid per 3 hours

My testing have been limited to only few params, yet to fully test the other params.

Still running. There is no problem even on the lower quality silicon GPU's (yet).  Ref Vega 56@64 bios, samsung HBM.

This is my lighter timing, hopefully stable:
--CL 19 --RAS 30 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 6 --RC 44 --RP 13 --RRDS 5 --RRDL 5 --RTP 4 --FAW 18 --CWL 6 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 15 --WRRD 1 --RDWR 18 --REF 17000 --RFC 248

please test it.
latest 19.4.1 drivers. win10
vega64 lc ~1360/1100@875 51.4mhs with claymore 12. But hbm temp is hot 70C and one weaker vega gives sometimes red incorrect shares

22.3 kh/s trtl, testing for pool speed and hw errors

Power Consumption at HW info ?
150 for eth and 135 for trtl

I'm testing it on my both 6 and 5 card rigs.
On the 6 card rig power consumption went up from 1155W to 1205W for roughly 10% hashrate gain (these are the worse silicon GPU-s, 3 of those running on 0.85V, 1 on 0.8375, last 2 on 0.825V).
Unfortunately currently there is no watt meter on the 5 card rig.
I will update about the stability.

What happen with the timings when you reboot?
If it stays after reboot, how do you set the timings back to the default values?

Overdriventool : reset and apply
