1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ASROCK H110 BTC PRO + and AMD cards on: May 07, 2020, 02:13:03 PM
I have a very strange issue with the motherboard ASROCK H110 BTC PRO + and AMD GPU's

They basically appear red in the PCIE discovery part of the BIOS,
I have tried RX580's and VEGA 56 and VEGA 64,  yet Nvidia cards work fine.

I have tried 3 different motherboards and ram and CPU and PSu's and risers,  all have the same result.

anybody know whats going on? is this a known issue?

The cards work on a different PC i have .

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RIG setup / GPU detection - Asrock H81 issues on: January 24, 2018, 02:39:18 PM
1) boot with the 2 x MOLEX plugged into the motherboard and goto BIOS
2) turn off "power warning", save and shutdown
3) unplug 2 x MOLEX from motherbaord

4)  connect PCIE RISER direct to PSU
      Connect GPU directt to PSU

5) booot and mine
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Geting Low shash rate need hellp Please on: January 22, 2018, 02:35:33 PM
what happens when you mine with just 1 card,
then try mining with just card 2 ,
then try mining with just card 3
then try mining with just card 4

What are the hashrates?

IF they are all ok but when you mine them all at the same time you need a WATT monitor plugged into your kettle lead

like this https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1I64nKFXXXXbaXpXXq6xXFXXXn/2013-New-EU-Power-Meter-Watt-Voltage-Amp-Energy-Monitor-Analyzer-LCD-display-5pcs-lot.jpg

IF The one card still has issues, replace the risers, reinstall drivers, try again
if you still have issues try the card in another PC (it may be faulty)

if its ok in the PC again try the WATT monitor, your PSU may be using above its threshold.

basic torubleshooting here.

1. Outside of Windows Defender, should I be running an anti virus software?
No, just make sure the firewall is on and dont surf any dodgy sites / download anything dodgy
2. Are there any Bios Updates or tweaks for the MOBO?
is the the pro or pro plus (+) ?
3. WHat kind of tweaks can I use for the cards?
stick to overclocking with afterburner, your done .

Are the powers that be making it harder and harder to cash out?

In the past 2 weeks,

1) crptonator.com
"SEPA refunds Unfortunately, no SEPA euro withdrawals will be possible in the near future, as our partner Bitwala has shut down service. All euro withdrawals sent from Cryptonator wallet in the time frame from 25.12.2017 to 03.01.2017 will be refunded on the next week."

2) Xapo "
Dear Cardholder,

Yesterday, January 4th 2018, the Xapo Card issuer Wave Crest Holdings, Ltd. was instructed by VisaŽ to close all cards of its VisaŽ programs effective immediately.

Unfortunately, Xapo did not receive any anticipated notice to prepare for - and have our cardholders prepare for -  the cancellation of our Card program.

How does this change affect you?

Are you sure? Picture/screenshot and timestamp to prove?

I wouldn't continue to mine if it let me , just in case.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is your Bitcoin Sell price? on: November 17, 2017, 12:43:53 PM
After reading an article this morning on coindesk

https://www.coindesk.com/survey-plurality-of-bitcoin-users-think-it-can-change-world/

it got me thinking .........

Here is an interesting question.

Regardless of how many bitcoins you own (0.001 or 500) , what price would bitcoin have to hit in order for you to sell? or make you sell?

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 390 Guru's needed ! Please help me out on this one on: November 15, 2017, 06:10:11 PM
get everything back to factory defaults for testing

Drivers =   15.12 http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-radeon-software-crimson-15-12-driver-download.html or  Block Chain Optimized

http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-[Suspicious link removed]pute-Release-Notes.aspx

, Nothing else i would recommend.

Claymore  12.5 AMD GPU MINER.   USE THE -r option aswell to force reboot if there is an issue.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 390 Guru's needed ! Please help me out on this one on: November 15, 2017, 05:43:50 PM

Are the gpu's overclocked?

first step would be set them back to factory.

I wouldn't recommend nicehash legacy.

use claymore and lower the intensity   ( -i 4,4,6,6,6,5,6 )

if the problem persists get a USB watchDOG and just set the miner to start on startup and live with it, it will just reboot when theres a problem and start mining , you wont miss much.
