On the t-rex-0.5.7-linux-cuda9.2 release, maybe others I haven't checked them, however, there maybe a bug.
If you leave "stratum+tcp://" out the first 2 chars are removed from the server string and it won't connect.
Very minor but normally this prefix can be omitted.

Aerocool is terrible, I had 1000w gold rated and the PCIE 8pins melted within a few months.
Doesn't matter what the rating is you just cannot run these shitty cheap brand PSU's 24/7 especially not to mine with.
Server PSU or EVGA T2 or P2 is all I will use from now there are other reputable brands and options but even then you generally need to go for the higher/premium range otherwise you will simply be buying them again within a year.

I have 2 evga 1300 and one is powering the risers and the other psu is powering the gpu. do you think this is risky ? both psu are connected to different circuits
AFAIK you are risking crosstalk through the GPU. Are you saying you are powering the risers only with a 1300w PSU and all the 6 or 8pin GPU connectors with the other PSU? |

Wow. Lost 75% over the last couple days due to the few scandals plaguing this project. Sad. While it seemed too good to be true when these coins were selling and trading for $2 within the community of reddit, I guess it was. Maybe you guys should try adopting a coin already established rather than try to be cool and do your own garlicky thing.....
Go for reddcoin or something. I always thought since the name was spot on and it was a social coin, redd would be the reddit community's first choice anyways.
Pretty much also crypto lost 75% of their values over the last few days so GRLC is no exception. Profitability is, however, now below Nicehash and with nothing new or interesting on the road for this coin there is nowhere but down. Just the a tenuous proposition of some improvement protocol. Coin is dead IMO, I will continue to hold a little but I doubt I will ever bother selling... |

Fried my first card last night - https://imgur.com/a/I8Nh4Turns out you're not supposed to connect anything else to the molex cable that's going into the add2psu, also you're supposed to power all risers with the primary PSU, any other tips/tricks y'all know of? My understanding is that you should power a riser with the same psu that powers the card via vga/pcie connector. This is correct, I am 100% sure that you should isolate the power supplies from each other and not mix the riser power from one supply and the 8pin from another. |

Invest in projects with a solid roadmap, excellent team and a community and you will be fine.

Anyone interesting coins to mine? I was mining GRLC for a while, but turned out its scam  The profit was too good at the beginning, some days $25 / day with one 1080 Ti  GRLC profitability was insane at the start. I sold 10 GRLC for like $10 each when it first hit tradesat. Profit was 5x like nicehash  damn good profit.

Mine and dump as there 108000 new coins mined everyday at this time with no reward reduction announced and no where near enough demand to support it. Dev started the coin as a joke and a lot of people were buying on OTC on reddit for like 3 - 5 usd expecting moon... |

It was going to be difficult to test on those rigs because those are my "special" rigs - one is my personal desktop PC and the other is the PC connected to TV. I have 4 long USB lines coming out of the PC case for 4 additional GPUs. So lots of things are installed on those machines consuming more RAM.
In your case though, did you confirm that you are getting higher hashrates with 16GB?
Also, sounds like at least you achieved stable 620 hashrate on 8GB. Correct?
I went from like 400 per card at 4gb to 620 with 8gb I haven't gone to 16gb but 100% would achieve a higher hashrate |

Is anyone using 8GB to mine this coin using 5 or 6 GPUs?
Just for your info, I do have two rigs, each running 5 x 1080 Tis and both Ryzen 1700 and Ryzen 1600 (stock clock speeds) run fine. But both rigs are using 16GB RAM.
Yeah 5 x 1080ti on i7 4770 using 8gb and I need more as I get memory errors if I push the settings too high, only 620 avg per card with 16gb would hit 660per card. I was using 4gb but had insane throttling. If you have 16gb in both just try with one stick of ram out. |

If there is a block every 40 SECONDS that is 90 blocks an hour or 2160 block per day SO 2160 * 50 (the number of coins per block) = 108000 COINS PER DAY. Going off the Garlicpools avg there is a block every 30 secs, 2 a min or 120 per hour or 2880 a day that is 144,000 new coins a day...

If the block time is less than 1 min and the reward is 50 PER BLOCK the amount of new coins minted per day will dilute the value of existing coins massively. Why are you mining if you think it's a scam?

1). If you have done your research, please share it rather than just claiming it. From my understanding, there isn't exactly a profitable ASIC for this.
2). The so called 200k coins are being airdropped. One, personally, have already received the airdrop.
3). Not having a fork will not kill this coin

People are free to do as they wish. I am no whale, I do, however, believe in cryptocurrency and am a miner I have been around a long time The new people who FOMOed in at 10K+ and push the price to crazy levels I do feel for them and the price could even go lower 5.2 maybe 3.5 but the price will go up in the long term I hope. If you want to FUD people out of their coins carry on but there is a lot of money sitting waiting for crypto to drop lower to collect cheap coins. Panic selling IMO is never a good idea but we will see |

Who is following you and where do you get 100% reliable info? Sounds like BS to me, market is in bear this has been clear for some time now. Crypto cannot itself cannot be regulated, only fiat into and out and this already started with KYC on exchanges etc. Regulations can only get tighter and new regulations for exchanges will come to which they will have to be compliant. No government can do shit about shutting crypto down and they know they it hence the insane media assault on BTC. Time will tell but yeah a lot of people bought high and sold low, sadly, nonetheless in time the money will come back to the projects with value |
