I cant believe cunts had the asics since november and didnt even bother to remove the address from the miner before shipping.

This must be the worst coin announcement ever. Your link doesnt even work.

DDR3 is pretty slow for ETH mining, look at the GDDR5X it's slower than GDDR5 and DDR3 is way slower for mining, but it would be probably cost effective with those DDR3, seems like DDR4 are too expensive that's plus.
true about gddr3 however 5x can work good Wink
1070 with custom bios and 4GB (512MB per chip) Micron GDDR5X giving over 40MH/s with same 256bit bus

Sooooo, how does one edit nvidia bios?

who cares if they deliver 1month later..

1 month later has past already. Original date was end of October, then it was mid November, now it's beginning of December and still waiting. You see the trend here???

Also, another week with no way bill here.

true..
yeah, i'm also waiting for my 2 units.
i ordered for december shipping, then argued them to put me on the november list because i was one of the geniuses that buyed 2 giant+ for 14.000$
now im back in december after all..
of course it sucks, but i'm not worried that much, its still my favourite asic company and not like some resellers.
and because of my smart investment on the giant+  ROI will take some time anyway..

I'm selling my Giant+ units to make room on the switch for more NVidia GPU miners. Got 1 left on amazon with US PS/Cord for $2,999 if you want to grab it. Wink

It's flipping between X13/Qubit/Quark and making $6-12$ / day. But the GPU Rigs will do $40+, so time to free up network & power plugs lol.

you can just plug another switch into one of the switch port and keep expanding. Mining needs like 1 kbps to work properly, I daubt you have anything under 10mb ports on switch
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: November 17, 2017, 10:59:37 AM
spread the hashing power guys. Last week I've been mining shitcoins like needle coin and earned a lot more than mining dash. Large assortment of shitcoins available here https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-calculator/.

Just remember, you will have to deal with shit exchanges, even shittier coins. I converted it right away to BTC, but I've been unable to transfer it to my hardware wallet because of the network congestion that is going on.

I just received my first D3 - I was shocked to see 20GHz average!  Smiley   AND very happily surprised to see that I had the option to control the fan speed!   (50% works perfectly and is much less noisy than the auto-tune S9!)

Just wanted to say "hi" to the thread... I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions.  (i.e., pool questions / firmware / etc.)
Sounds like a happy man to have a received a D3 miner capable of doing 20MH/s Cheesy Have you checked whattomine.com recently? Hate to break it to you, but your profit is $2 a day and heading down fast!

only been mining with my 2 D3 for 24 hours and i will say profit is way more than $2 a day. lol

Can you elaborate, at least ballpark?  Still waiting on my three D3s coming in the end of November batch and curious about the real-world profitability.

I earns around 6-7 $/day per machine before electricity

Anyone had a situation where antminestarted blinking red and went offline?

I was controlling it remotely and tried to do the reboot from the antminer page, but nothing happened. I then tried to do the physical reboot by unplugging it from the wall and then powering it back on.

Now I cant access anything but the default page. Anyone had the same situation?

Guys, just a daily by mining on pools that payout it bitcoin, you are automatically lowering the price of dash (which is being sold by pool to pay you in currency of your choice) and therefore lowering the amount of money you earn per machine.

Now recommend me a good dash pool without hidden bullshit fees so I can stack up some dash before price skyrockets
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: October 30, 2017, 03:57:11 PM
I just received my antminer today and I am having a problem with a setup.

I used a cable for the power supply that says on it that it supports 75 degrees celsius, 250-440V and 16A. But when I plugged my machine, the power supply cable got really hot (enough to not be able to comfortably hold it in hand). I know that the specs on the cable are probably enough to support one antminer, but the cable seems way to hot

Does you cable also get too hot?

Which cable are you referring to, the one from the wall outlet to the PSU or the ones from the PSU to the miner?

You can definitely cause a fire by pulling too much juice through an underrated cable so you want to address this.

The cable should not be hot to the touch at all!  If it seems hot in the slightest you need to immediately unplug it or risk causing a fire.  You may be using a cable that is not correctly rated or perhaps it is just a cheap flimsy cable that was made poorly or is showing the wrong specs.  Spend the few extra bucks and get a quality cable that will not cause issues.

I am referring to the power cord between APW3++ and the wall socket. On one side of the cord it says 16A and on the other that it is rated at 75 degrees Celsius at 250-440V, so it should be more than enough for the cable

still waiting for late nov batch. any hope for roi? any hope for anything? will I just get a big door stopper?

On nicehash they are at about 10 bucks a day right now. We are all in the same bucket.

thanks for the reply. Any hope we get early shipping for nov 21-30 too?

Mine is shipped and it is currently somehwere in germany, should be in my house probably by the end of the week

For those who asked earlier, I ordered a September batch of APW3++ about 2 weeks ago using the archived link, and it says that they actually shipped it today. At the moment of ordering, for sale on the website was November batch.

could it be the situation like with ETH and alpereum that gave users really small payouts compared to other pools because of unfair payout system? Those numbers seem way off

Anyone here that didnt even receive the confirmation email from bitmain on email? I paid in time and I realize that they will shift my order from expired to valid, but its just strange that I didnt receive email

Does anyone know a ballpark figure for what Bitmain charges per antminer for shipping to the US?  Just want to make sure I leave enough to cover shipping if I'm lucky enough to hit the D3 lottery.

Shipping should not go over 150 bucks. Shipping to my eastern European country via DHL costs around $120
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: August 08, 2017, 04:11:09 PM
Current Dash network hashrate is somewhere around 15 TH/s. That means that if there was a total of ~7000 Antminers D3 sold in the first 3 batches, that the network hashrate is going to jump by (15GH/s=0.015TH/s) 0.015 TH/s*7000 = 105 TH. That is of course not including other ASIC manufacturers and making an assumption that all those Antminers already sold are not already hashing right now. This is pretty much a 10x bump in network hashrate even for first 3 batches. Does that means that the profits are going to be cut 10 times, leaving you with 20 bucks a day?

Am I mising something?
Do you honestly think the 15 TH that are mining now are going to stay on? Also, the other miners are going to be a minority. There's been historically a price increase with hash increase. We'll have to see if that holds true.

I do believe they are "testing" the miners that are about to be shipped, but even if 2/3 of the current hashrate are the ones that are going to be shipped, its still a ~10x increase. In my calculations, this batch coiming in november is looking at ~20 bucks a day, and its probably going to be a 3-5 months to ROI
