1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: October 11, 2016, 05:33:32 PM
I suppose it depends on your beliefs. I don't find it wrong if your gambling your own money and know what you are doing, but if it's someone else's money you crossed a line. Even if you win & pay someone back, if they don't know what you are doing with the the money then it's wrong. You could easily lose that money & end up screwing yourself and the other person.

Most parents would get mad if they find their children gambling, especially under 18 which happens a lot these days due to the vast amount of sites online that allow just about anyone on them.

Gambling can be seen as a drug.
Addictive & you can't really get enough.
If you are addicted, you always want more.

If you're doing it for entertainment with small amounts, or you can make the money back and know you won't need it then sure maybe once in a while for leisure is alright but if you plan on gambling every single thing you make on these sites then it's wrong.

Whatever you guys decide, good luck. May the odds be in your favour
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: September 30, 2016, 06:01:24 AM
Both options are very risky. If you invest money in a very strong company, you don't earn much from this investment. If you invest in a beginning company, you are very likely to lose your money. There is almost the same thing with gambling. You may bet on something with a high probability of winning, but even if you win there, you won't get much. So, you have to risk if you want to win.
As for me, I would choose investment, because you at least don't get addicted to it

4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buy on aliexpress with bitcoin? on: February 01, 2016, 11:03:21 PM
Last year i was able to pay in BTC to aliexpress, i did buy a few items....

But the trick was to go over with Webmoney.

Aliexpress (still) accept WebMoney.   On Webmoney i was able to exchange  BTC for  US $ Webmoney..

But last time i tried, it seems it was not as easy, and else i dont speak russian, the WebMoney  was a pain in the Arse for me to travel through all those webmoney steps .....

You have to transfer your BTC in your Webmoney BTC wallets, then find the option to exchange  then the money in US was in my WebmoneyWallet.. then i could buy some goods...

I dont know if it still possible..

Now ...

what can i do with my Gridseed, since its only mining scrypt and  forget about  sha256!!

Is there a way to use kinda minercontrol on multiple pool (in scrypt) and choose the most profitable coins to mine on different poll?

Ive tried Multiminer and the best for now for me its minercontrol for my amd and nvidia!!

Otherwise it sit on my desktop and mine scrypt on yammp Smiley

I think i saw we can mine for lottery or something like this on another blogs...  trying to find a valuable way for this golden fan
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Miner Control 1.6.1 - Auto profit switching miner controller on: January 06, 2015, 02:09:13 PM
i don't get it. i can't seem to get minercontrol to work for me. after config'ing it to my wallet etc. i hit auto and it starts FAKE MINING. it comes up with some BULLSHIT balance yet nothing shows up in YAAMP. when i remove the testrun application all the pools say "dead".

what kind of SCAM is this?
you did not read anything about the setup did you?
it work, i tell you, better with my geforce 970 than my Radeon's, but it works

maybe you just hit the batch file that start the testminer.exe ...

We wont do anything for you, just learn like we all did the hard way... script kiddie!!
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB, Blade & Black Miner Support/Tuning on: July 08, 2014, 01:39:50 PM
until now the only way im dual mining with a rasberrypi is with HASHRA.  Tried all version and this one is the best imho.
Otherwise in Windows it works too, with cgminer (BTC) and cpuminer (scrypt)

but both way, after a few hours it crash and need to be restarted.  Only Hashra offer a way to restart miner with a  timer.

Any people can leave theyr Gridseed in dual mode for weeks without crash?   Its seems its only possible in scrypt mode

Please, write how to start dual mining from cgminer dmaxl. file.bat.

Hello

i need help on Webmoney but im not good in russian
I used to transfer BTC to my WMZ purse, but now it seem my Formal passport is not enough!

this was my procedure:
I used to log in to this:
https://wmx.webmoney.ru/Home/TopUp#

(but it look down now)

So now im logging to WM Keeper Light where i can see my purse WMZ and WMX
I go to the menu for ADD FUNDS and i get redirected to there:
http://www.wmtransfer.com/eng/addfunds/index.shtml
and
https://wmx.wmtransfer.com/#
i click on funding and it ask me for logging again on webmoney keeper (light)...

then..
Funding
Attention!
Your passport level is insufficient to perform withdrawals and top-ups. The minimum required level is a formal passport that passed a data verification procedure.

I have a formal passport.. grrr
why adding fund is not that easy !!!  is there an easy way? if i used the top ups uin the past, can i still use the same wmx address ??

Aslo tried on my phone but it a pain to install ...my purse where created with another phone so now theyt wont accept my new phone on my previous purse.
Webmoney is good with aliexpress but its damn complicated to setup .. webmoney light, classic, mini.. arrghh

What about this site or other exchanger for BTC-->WM ?

http://wmeng.exchanger.ru/asp/wmlist.asp

thanks for any help
9  Local / Mining et Hardware / Demarrer un node P2Pool privé en VTC on: March 08, 2014, 03:11:10 AM
Bonjour

https://github.com/donSchoe/p2pool-vtc

tout va bien sauf que je bloque a la création du vtc_scrypt module

-j'ai deja python 2.7
-J'install mingw .. et apres?  y a til des packages particuliers a telecharger?

j'ouvre un shell windows...
In bash type this:
cd py_modules\vertcoin_scrypt
C:\Python27\python.exe setup.py build --compile=mingw32 install

Et la j'ai une erreur ..  '-mno-cygwin' file not fond ou de quoi de similaire...  est ce a  cause que mingw je dois telecharger le packages relier a cygwin ??

la suite...
Run P2Pool with the "--net vertcoin"

evidemment ca ne marche pas...

jai lu ailleur dans les commentaires ceci:

under windows your assembling of p2pool vtc does not work in general!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't need to build the exe for p2pool to work, but it can make it easier to run it as a service or at system startup.
I have it figured out. You will need to install py2exe. Then you need to add a blank init.py file to the .\Python27\Lib\site-packages\zope directory.
After that, run the following command in the p2pool-vtc directory:
python setup.py
That's all there is to it.

10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [WebMoney] How to use WebMoney with BTC? Detailed instructions with screenshots on: January 23, 2014, 04:53:27 PM
Im not sure about exchange rate is good
Sent .13 bt (130WMX) and got 93 WMZ... right now on BTC-E i would have gotten 120$ US (at BTC price of 802$ right now

with paypal, they take 7%, here its seems higher or the exchange is not the same

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: December 27, 2013, 02:35:29 PM
just a question like this

i was once robbed of about 1.4 bitcoin with paypal, and it seems there is no way to recover the BTC. ive learned since...

In real life you could get back to the stealer, but the anonyme way the Bitcoins handles addresse's could be its biggest harm againts itself!!

There must be a way to track stealers!!!    Like B(tc)ounty hunters!!! that could get a portion of the recovered amount in BTC

I stand withHashco,.. anyway there is such attack on almost all pools, here or another place we have to live with that i think!!  stealers will always find a way.. like in real life!!

12  Economy / Speculation / Re: WebMoney starts processing Bitcoins on: November 06, 2013, 04:49:11 PM

I think you can also convert your wmx to paypal there:

http://exwp.org/index_en.html

Ive not tried it yet, but ive read some people did and it was successful
Very expensive exchange there. Normal paypal-wmz conversion rates are 8-10%

Looks like 12% fee on exwp.org!!!  i agree a bit expensive.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: WebMoney starts processing Bitcoins on: November 06, 2013, 03:47:51 PM
Great news, I'm sure it will benefit a lot of people.

Shame that I can't seem to find any where in the UK that accepts WebMoney.

But www.dealextreme.com accept webmoney and they offer free shipping to the UK as well as the lowest prices on the web for electronic goods. Great place for getting things like super-bright LED bike lights, torches, lasers, rechargeable batteries, stuff like that.

reviving a tread here Smiley

Also Aliexpress accept Webmoney now

This is interesting for me as i was using paypal before... Now i can use my bitcoin

Can we use many miners on the same BTC address?

Because it look like i should have 1.5 Mhash with 3 miners but for some resason im at about 700khash

Is is preferable to use one separate btc address for each miner ?
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [PHP] VirWox BTC/USD Exchange Rate on: August 27, 2013, 03:42:30 PM
Thank you for this! I made a USD/BTC tracking chart based on this at http://caktux.ca/virwox comparing the resulting price with MtGox and Bitstamp. Deposit and withdrawal fees are also taken into account. I was surprised to see that even after all those fees, there are a few times when you can get a better rate than at the other exchanges.

Interesting, but is it possible to have BTC/USD  live chart??  When im trading my BTC im having a hard time understanding the SLL rate

thanks

Hello

I wonder why my miners speed is lower than what i produce

i have 1 miner at about .730 Mhash and the other one at 0.240 Mhash

My accespted MH/s does not reflec the real speed (should be .730+.240=0.970 and its alway showing 0.750-0.820)

Then i just switched my second miner on another address  since a few hours and it show:
Accepted MH/s:    0.0093

and on my miner screens, i can see the speed is stable at 0.240 MH/s...??

I can suggest you buy a jalapeno at BFL for about 300$, it give 5-7 ghash...  but theyre late on shipping  and you wont received it for september 2014.  I bought one in april.. and they are now shipping the nov 12 ...

Otherwise BTC guild sell USB Block Erupters for about 0.6 btc.. at 300 Mh,low power consumption .. fo 1.8 BTC you get 1 Ghash...  so its about 200$...  for 100$ more you get 5 GHash with BFL  Jalapeno...  im not going this way...

For now i have about 1 Ghash with:
1x ATI 5830 at 305 Mhash
1x ATI 5970 at about 700-750 Mhash

My 5970 is my main gaming card but im looking for a 7950 or 7970 (249$ vs 319$ on Ncix) to upgrade for gaming and ill keep my 5970 mining with the 5830 as long as it runs

Also you could invest in AsicMiner shares... like on Havelock... or mining contract on Cloudhashing.   I just bought some XBOND but it wont give me a fortune Smiley

i guess there is a major technical switch right now, like when the GPU took over CPU....  now is Asicminer over GPU ... get on the boat or you'll mine only dust Smiley
