1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] Paper: new Token for boosting participation and engagement in communities on: April 20, 2018, 09:57:20 AM
Hi folks,

we are cooking some ideas in the space of tokens for user engagement in communities like fora, meetups, workshops, hackathons and likewise. We would be happy to collect feedback and comments from interested and likeminded people, I trust there are many here. I leave the abstract of the paper here and a gdoc link open to comments from everyone. Look forward for your comments. We would especially appreciate discussion on the possible threats and vulnerabilities of the model.

Cheers,
Davide

TITLE: A blockchain token for community engagement

Abstract
Blockchain tokens could be a valid mean to manage commitment and loyalty of members as well as reward contributors inside a voluntary-based community (like meetups are) in a gamified style.

The rules of thumb are: (1) the more contribution a member provide to the community the more tokens are credited. (2) Tokens will be used in vetting, ballots, and staking whenever required during the lifetime of a community. (3) Twinned communities acknowledge the same token, to incentivise and increase mobility and interchange of loyal members.

As historical note, the meetup "Cagliari Ethereum Lab" minted tokens for its members. This started more an experiment than something serious, but it can become a serious game and maybe a business opportunity. Starting from this experience, the authors conceived a general token-based loyalty and reward framework to federate communities and share a superset of rules actionable via a common token. At the same time, some of the low level details are left to the event or community organizers.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many ICO incoming, i'm lost in those !! on: October 21, 2017, 12:23:10 PM
Hope this may help someone in better understanding some aspects of ICOs. I wrote a check list, this is aimed at token sellers to better explain their offer, but useful for investor as well. Please find here

http://immutable.today/ico-test-evaluate-ico/

I'm just start into Crypto about 1 month, as people, i'm looking for a good ICO to invest with a dream that it will sucess and bring me some profit. But there is a lot of ICO incoming, some sound very good like HXT, Storm, Cryptaur or Electroneum. I'm really lost in those, i tried to do some research like people such as: their white paper, roadmap, v.v.. but i can't not found what is the best for me to start. Can you guys give me some advice or some trick to do a research.

Thank you.

Purpose of the CPAY token is revenue rewards ?
Nothing else?
So it's not a utility of token.

A securities Law Framework for Blockchain Tokens:

Hello!

Please, check the reply given right above your post.
Let us know if you need anything clarified further Smiley

Frankly speaking the reply doesnt touch the point. If the token doesn't unlock functionalities it is not an utility token. May we say CPAY are securities? How buyers can enforce their rights to get the rewards?
