1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 27, 2017, 05:46:13 AM
chainworks reports latency. Check if it is going up and down when you have poor poolside hash.
Mine was doubling frequently when I had poor results.
Statistics->graph on pool's gui looks reasonably healthy today.
This can be your internet provider is my best guess, I could not fully rootcause it when mine degraded out of the blue.

Anybody else getting like 50% of their hashrates on all the pools right now?

I have 6 cards 4 in 1 right 2 XFX 480 8GB and 2 GTX 1060 in the other another 2 480 8GB XFX

I should be getting 99MH/s but get nowhere near that. I even had one pool get me down to 8MH/s which is like more than 10X less what my power actually is.

Does anybody know whats happening?

My theory so far is the blocks are moving too fast for me to report a share.

For anyone that might be reading my Chainworks pool improved greatly but was doing the same thing as MN and Suprnova almost worse for a bit.

Can say after trying each tho somehow the Chainworks is correcting itself a bit but still lower mostly like I mentioned but not quite as low and I've actually seen it hit 99MH/s for the first time out of all the pools I tried for 24 hours

Can't be my internet I have a 75Mbps connection and I have had no issues with at least ten other coins that I've mined.

I find that those other coins are very accurate on how much I get too and I've double checked it with sites for months and are within maybe 10% this coin tho i'm getting 50% less than what whattomine says I should get on average between all the difficulty changes of 5k-10k. So it doesn't make much sense that with this coin and this coin only I get 50% less coins than what whattomine says but no other coin has that kind of discrepancy.

Don't rely on WTM to give accurate estimates.

Did your hashrate suddenly drop or do you just think you should be getting a higher hashrate based on....whatever? Is there a huge difference between the hashrate your mining program reports and what the pool reports?

Your hashrate, reported by the mining program or pool, have nothing to do with the SIGT network. That's just between you and the pool.

Can't agree more. I am amazed that people are still using WhatToMine. That page is a joke. Half of the coins are completely off. It is especially inaccurate in Skunkhash algo (SIGT). If you mine based on results on this page, you are wasting your mining potential. Big time! You can easily achive 180-300% higher income if you do your own research and ignore whattomine.

when will raise again signatum?

Bittrex dev buy all signat for low price and after list coin on exchange Smiley

Somewhere during the PoS this will happen for sure! Patient people will benefit the PoS!
Expect a big dump when it hits bittrex. And then the iron hands will thrive.

Finally someone who has hit the nail on the head. I keep reading these delusional prayers about the necessity of SIGT being added to bigger exchanges in this thread yet that is exactly what would be insanely unhealthy at this point. Yes, it would pump the coin significatnly, but the consequential dump would be catastrophic. Young coins don't need hype, they need the tech. Hype raises pressure on the Devs who need to focus on their work. Not live up to the hype. Let's give the boys some space.

Also, it's a very nice surprise to see SIGT going through current bloodbath with head held high. Respect!

Hello guys!

First I will tel you I am great supporter of ZenCash and I feel it'll be a great project. I have been holding coins from the star.
I am noob when it comes to mining and I have a guestion. Do you have to mine zencash in order to set up a secure node or you just rent a virtual server and set up a secure node without mining?
Can someone explain to me in most simplest form Cheesy. Thank you and have a nice day.

Also interested. Can anyone post (or PM me) some details? Any help appreciated.

This coin will see a pump from whales before the POS. Also, whattomine will attract newbie miners for limited period of time until they realize the calculator is innacurate af. Patience will be rewarded with nice dump conditions. There is no doubt. Hope it won't take long.

I'm really liking the potential of this coin; i cant wait to see what the future holds.. im buying up now while its cheap.. this could be a gold mine

Same here! hodling til it goes to the moon!

This is just sad.

Draining! Urgently sell! The price will fall to 300sat.
OMG, Jesus Chris, better do what this guy says. Quick! The coin is dying and we will probably loose everything in the next 16 seconds. I can feel the vital signs fading. The room suddenly got colder and the presence of supernatural is in the air. Sell, sell, sell! LOL Cheesy

Dual .mining with correct dcri was always profitable on 1080/ti. Because 1080/ti has a lot of cpu power which is not used by daggerhasimoto algo.
Only if by "profitable" you mean more then the electricity cost)
No I mean that it have +/- the same profit as zec or other algos.
LOL, SIGT wishes. Have you actually tried to mine SIGT or are you preaching from whattomine here?
"profitability" is a nonsense unless your coins is sold immediately after being mined (not even after 24 hours).
In my case, I actually mine hush and sigt with 2 similar rigs, hush was slightly more profitable over the last 24 hours, but I don't sell them, same for sigt. So only the future will tell which coin was more profitable.
I used to mine LBC when it was non "profitable" compared to ZEC, and guess what : when I sold my coins, the LBC I mined were suddently a lot more profitable than ZEC.
I can't agree more. If you have two rigs, I would use one for mining Zcash and the other one for experimental coins. Let them coins appreciate over time  Cool

Mining question > I am mining ONION using CCminer 1.0 (alexis version) and I am getting only 13,4 Mh/s on a GTX 1070. I have seen people getting much higher hashrates. What am I missing?

Hi Guys,

I have just startet mining Signatum,

And I have a question,
How many MH can I get from 1070 and 1080? What are the best settings in afterburner and intensivity?
I`m using ccminer-x64-2.2 on supernova

Immediately stop and start mining something else. You are too late to the party. At this point, there are 50-100% more profitable coins to mine out there. Ignore whattomine, it is showing 20% higher daily income than what you actually get. Keep mining only if you want to support SIGT.

Don't PM me with questions what to mine, pls. Dig deep and do your own research. Forget whattomine. The most profitable coins are NOT there.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: August 18, 2017, 10:21:48 PM
Last 15 pages of this thread is like a guided tour in a museum of amateurism. Unbelievable, how many mentally-challenged individuals whattomine has attracted. Manipulating this crowd will be a cakewalk for veteran pumpers. With sell orders set at three different price points this will be the easiest dump ever. I will just sit back, relax & profit  Cool

By the way, any idea when can we expect the next halving? It would be nice to have a single piece of useful information in this sea of spam.

It's not exactly rocket surgery to estimate when it gets to 60K.

Since you are such a wise and seasoned pro at this, I am a bit shocked that you would posit your query to such a rambling bunch of amateurs.

Maybe I just wanted to redirect this thread to a slightly more constructive topic. Pardon my boldness  Wink I am saving my pumping shoes for laters...  Grin

what is the most profitable coin to mine now?

+1 Looking for profitable coin with 2-3USD per a 1060/Day. If anyone find that, please list on these.

LOL, do your own research Grin

HINT: whattomine =/= research  Wink

I heard that the klaust kernel is the fastest... but you can never trust an east german klaus..
??
Please don't post here when you are drunk

KlausT: Keep up the good work, Klaus. Your 8.11 is a masterpiece. No brainer for multiple algos. For the rest, I rock tpruvot's 2.0 and I am super-exited about your future releases. I was never fan of sp's forks. Although his versions often look extremely well at the screenshots, the raw performance reported by the pools is a different story.

sp: I don't understand all the kicking around. There are still tons of people willing to pay for your miner. Even if your product is not the best one out there, your marketing skills are unparalleled. Especially the grudge against CWIgm is a little unsubstantiated. I think it's a great idea and I plan to support this project and take part in the beta test. Improving raw hashrate is inferior when miner-pool communication is suboptimal. But what do I know. I am just a "newbie" member here in bitcointalk, right?

His latest miner shines in groestl, myriad-groestl and neoscrypt (tested on 1070) compared to others.

1 x 1080ti @ ~50Mh/s on SIGT = approx. $5.15/day
at 30,000 difficulty and half-reward, really???

30k difficulty is not the norm since the rewards got cut
http://nullspam.ru/nodes/signatum/

No offence, but the fluctuating difficulty isn't an issue. It's the halving and constantly dropping exchange rate that is making mining this coin mediocre.

Your calculation is also incorrect. $5.15/day sounds like something from whattomine calculator. In fact it is hardly $3.00/day with one 1080 Ti (net profit). I stopped mining SIGT at the very moment the halving was applied. Until then it was a joyride, but now SIGT is not even in the TOP 10 most profitable coins. And believe me, $5.15/day is just a beginning of what you can get out of your card. You just need to do your own research and remove whattomine from your bookmarks because NONE of the most profitable coins is listed there.

I still keep something around 2k in SIGT hoping to dump around $0.12 but the depreciation is showing signs of a long-term trend.

If you care about SIGT, support it by mining it.
If you believe in SIGT, mine more profitable coins and turn your profit into SIGT.
If you care about PROFIT, do your homework and find yourself a more lucrative coin to mine.

Hi @forstik. I use whattomine.com almost every day, but just because I don't know any better. I've been mining for over a year but mostly just ETH, ZEC, XMR and recently tried SIGT for a few days. You mentioned the lack of profitable coins there, and to "do your homework" fro a more profitable coin.

I honestly wouldn't know where to start since I am just a small scale guy with 2 6 rigs (1 AMD and 1 Nvidia) - but would you mind making some suggestions about where to at least learn about this stuff? I'm not expecting you to tell me what I should be mining but it would be great to know where I can do this research, and also to know why the most profitable stuff isn't at whattomine.com. Should I be looking in the ANNs for new coins? would you mind suggesting any good resources for learning about choosing what to mine?

Hey there,

don't get me wrong, whattomine plays a super-important role in mining environment - it creates mainstream mining. Huge number of miners make decisions based exclusively on it. And for casual miners it's perfectly OK. Hey, we've all been there - bought first 1080 Ti, downloaded EWBF or Claymore, visited whattomine and started mining Zcash or ETH. This way you can achieve a low yet steady income without much effort.

But you can do better. Much better.

Take a look at the algos, that are mined at yiimp, zpool & suprnova. Go through the forums. Check new coins and new algos.  Forget whattomine . Their calculations are often far from reality and some coins seem to be rather uninteresting while it's complete opposite in reality. Even if you insert tested overclocked hashrates, it gives you really strange results based on CURRENT prices and OUTDATED difficulty settings.

Unless you have a small farm running on profitability-switching miner and covert mining profits into BTC or ETH multiple times during the day, current prices shouldn't be what you look at.

Don't be afraid to be an early adopter of a certain coin which you see a potential in. Use one of your rigs for experiments. You will be able to mine thousands of that coin in two or three days and you can take on another one. In a few months, you will have tons of altcoins. Some of them will not increase in value, but some of them will make you a fortune and compensate you for the rest.

I mine even coins others dare to touch and sell them during pumps. Good trading strategy combined with patience will increase your mining revenue by 50-100% easy.

I have very simple piece of advice - TRACK EVERYTHING. Set your clock on your phone to a certain time of the day and record all the daily earnings in a spreadsheet. The crypto you receive is the only  figure you can really rely on and all your decisions should be based on these raw data.

One final advice - be EXTREMELY careful when downloading mining software from unknown sources. There are tons of vvery sophisticated infected miners that will hash for someone else (in better cases).

I get some serious reported hashrate fluctuations on suprnova. I mean like between -60 Mh/s and +10 Mh/s. The miner is running at actual total hashrate of 110 Mh/s but thanks to those drops it averages way below that. Is this something suprnova-specific or is that common across all BTX pools? Can you recommend a better pool? Thank you!

No more profit on mining this coin by the way

True. The halving was a dealbreaker for most people. No point in developing a miner for a coin that MIGHT be profitable again in the future.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Canīt find the sweet spot with my GPU - Help wanted: evga 1070 SC Black edition on: August 11, 2017, 08:46:00 AM
Hi everyone.

I recently got my first rig up and running, but i'm having problems finding the sweet spot for good hashing rates.
Is there anyone who can give a quick glance and take a look ?

This is my typical hashing rate for zcash:
EVGA GTX 1070 SC Black Edition, Micron mem.
Zec Miner 0.3.4b

GPU0: 398 sol/s, temp 62C
GPU1: 409 sol/s, temp 53 C
GPU2: 402 sol/s, temp 59 C
GPU3: 409 sol/s, temp 53 C
GPU4: 411 sol/s, temp 57C
GPU5: 339 sol/s, temp 61 C

In afterburner my settings are:

Power: 73%, Core: +114 and Mem +334

The system:

Z170A gaming pro carbon, 8 gb ram, 120 gb ssd.
Cosair HX1000 that powers MB, CPU and GPU0,GPU1,GPU2 & GPU3
Cosair VS 550 that powers GPU4 & GPU5

My hashing rate is lower than expected and I would love to get it up, to a point where payback period is less than a year Wink

Is there anyone out there who can help me ?
What timings ? What to do ? what to look for ?

Any help would be very appreciated

I am running those on a system and am running them 85% +120 Core +700 Mem 75% fan speed. That is giving 440-450 Sol/s at 120-130W. It stays at the 3.5 Sol/W range with those settings.

73% power is too low for these single plug 1070s trying to get a good OC and you wont be able to do a high Mem if you keep the power that low.

That system is 4 1070 Black SC 4 1070 SC z270-A 8GB Ram 120 GB SSD, 2 850W Power supplies.

I have MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G and I achieve 450-460 Sol/s easily at 85% +90 Core +645 Mem with EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner. This card can take a lot more punishment than my other 1070s from ASUS but there are diminishing returns in further overclocking.
