So. If read the posts above, there ain't a perfect website on the market yet. So, what features would you like to have on such a website?

That's a nice one. If I had enough Merit, I would be happy to share this with you, my friend. 

I haven't been much around the last couple of months and all of a sudden a Merit system has been integrated. I think it works fine. If I compare the quality of posts in main boards, now it's much more helpfull than it used to be.

But it looks like the spam moved to the local boards. If I take a look at the Dutch boards, lots of s****y projects are posted there. I also see a lot of spam and discussions that, in my opinion, don't belong on Bitcointalk. Also I see a lot of bounty hunters over there, posting things you can't take serious.

Can we do something about this and introduce a Merit system for local boards only? So that it is also needed to post quality on those local boards and prevent people from posting spam and worthless content?

Or is this just a problem for the local Dutch board?

Currently Binance is by far the largest exchange around. If you want your project to be extremely succesfull you'll need to be on Binance. In my opinion this is a bad thing, for a few reasons:

• Market domination leads to unethical behaviour. Binance can make or brake coins. If we want to move forward, we don't want that kind of dominance. We want the market to make decisions, not Binance
• If you'll pay, you'll get listed. That's not good. We want good projects to be listed, not the ones that pay the most. At least Binance should be transparant about the projects they listed because of quality and the ones they listed because they paid for it.
• We once started this crypto-thing because we where sick and tired of banks and governments tell us what to and what not to do. Now it almost seems it's not the banks, but Binance determing what is happening in the market nowadays. And that's against the philosophy of crypto in general.
• Binance is starting to become a little bit lazy. We need them, because the platform has so much volume. But to be honest, I don't think it's a really great platform. For example, I miss a lot of trading options. They are not developing the platform at high speed. And that's a bad thing, because we are all stuck at Binance. And in fact now they are slowing down the development of crypto trading.

I think it's time that one or two new competitors enter the market and come up with something better. But it's still the question if that's good enough to beat Binance. Because there's so much volume there, I don't think it will be easy to switch to another platform.

How are you guys thinking about this?

So, there are a lot of sites on the market keeping track of the value of our tokens. Of course coinmarketcap.com is most used. But I don't like it that much. On the homepage there is just too little information and I can't keep track on my portfolio.

I'm using livecoinwatch.com a lot. More information and the possibility to built up a portfolio. But it's also kinda buggy.

So, I'm still looking for the perfect solution. Which site or app are you guys using to keep track of your portfolio?

Yes. Crisis is coming. Like always. The economy always goes up and down.

But you have to understand the political influence on the economy. Politicians have various ways to upheld such a Crisis.

I don't think Trump would be so stupid to let Crisis enter the US before his re-election. So, probably there won't be any for the next two years.

That's my guess.

The new king hasn't been born, yet.

The new king will be the coin that is stable, fast, uses almost no energy, is widely accepted and easy to use.

Just like fiat, only more transparant.

I don't know such a coin, yet. If there is one, please tell me. So, I can sell my house and put all the money I have in that coin.

First of all I would like to say that bounty hunters also have a great influence on wether a project will be succesfull or not. It's a great way for a project initiator to get more attention to your project.

And yes, they can have a lot of influence on the value of the token. But only if a large part of the total amount of tokens are bounty tokens and they brought on the market all at once by the initiator of the project.

I like the LEND team distributed their tokens. They also had the problem that it was about a lot of tokens at once. So they decided to spread the distribution over a period of four weeks. The result was that it probably didn't harm the value of the tokens.

In my opinion every project should think about the way they are distributing their tokens.

Well... Nothing to be afraid, currently. The cryptomarket seems to be more stable than the stock exchanges, lately.

These moves of value are something that is included in a market that tries to grow up.

And yes, speculating on crypto is a risky thing to do. We should all be aware of that.

To answer this question correctly we first need to take a look at what a currency needs to be.

Money needs to be:
-Easily accessable
-Widely accepted
-Has to be trusted

If we take a look at crypto nowadays, there are huge problems with all three factors.

It's accessability is a huge problem. At the moment you have to be a computer expert to use it. I always say: "if my parents understand it, than it has the potential to be accessable to everyone." If I try to explain crypto to my parents, they are rolling with their eyes, not understanding what I'm trying to tell them.

Another problem: crypto isn't widely accepted, yet. And it won't be in the near future. It's new, it's strange and fees are way to high. If I want to buy a cup of coffee, the fee sometimes is twice the price of that coffee. That's not good. Pundi X is trying to build a system that makes it possible to pay with crypto just like you are paying with your credit card, but still that's a very small project right now.

And point 3... Crypto has a huge problem with trust. For trust you need a stable market and coin. What has happened lately in the crypto with all of his volatility, it's not good for it's trust.

So, if you'd ask me if crypto will replace fiat in a short time... I don't think so. What we need is regulation and rules, so that trust can enter te market. If trust will enter the market, maybe it will be more accessable en more widely accepted. But there's a long road ahead...

Hmmm... This merit system seems a little bit unfair. I've been a Jr. User for quite some time now, but since I've not been posting much lately, I haven't received any merit. So... Now my rank has set back to Newbie. That's a little bit painfull, because now my images in threads I've started aren't showing any more.

So, I think I need to post some new quality posts fast to earn my merit.

 

Bitcoin still has a use first user advantage. But it's not the best coin around. I think it will be replaced by a coin that's faster, cheaper en using less energy sources. Bitcoin cash in the end, has the same problems as Bitcoin. It think we are still at the beginning of a new era. And the perfect coin still might not be around.

So future will tell, but in my opinion Bitcoin Cash won't replace Bitcoin.

I simply don't now if Block Chain is going to be the next internet. I will explain why. Internet is consisting of so much more than block chain alone. And block chain simply isn't the solution to everything. I think Block chain is absolutely making things on the internet more transparant. But you simply don't want everything to completely transparant. I can think of a thousand things I want to keep for myself.

So, blockchain will be a succes. But mainly in industries where transactions are a huge part of daily business. But it isn't internet. It's just one aspect of it.

We zijn blij om je te informeren over enkele updates over Beaxy en onze route naar de meest complete cryptocurrency-exchange.

Er zijn drie wijzigingen voor Beaxy:

• We verlagen onze hardcap van 30 miljoen naar 19 miljoen dollar. Dit besluit volgt op een zorgvuldige afweging rond de financieringsbehoefte en de huidige voortgang richting een MVP. Aangezien we al een werkende demo hebben en substantiële vooruitgang boeken in de richting van een bètaversie, zijn we in staat om onze schattingen met betrekking tot de jaarlijkse uitgaven opnieuw vorm te geven. Onze softcap is teruggebracht tot 4,2 miljoen dollar. Dit maakt de tokenprijs voor onze private sale $0,29 en de prijs voor onze openbare verkoop $0,41. Een soft cap van 4,2 miljoen dollar en een hardcap van 19 miljoen dollar zullen ons voldoende ruimte geven om uit te groeien tot een volledig winstgevende en veel gebruikte exchange en de doelen op onze roadmap te realiseren. • We doen een aantal updates aan onze merk- en marketingmaterialen. Onze focus is altijd geweest op het bouwen van de best mogelijke exchange. En dan niet alleen een UI-afbeelding, maar een echt werkend platform. Het Loyalty-programma
Eerder  werkte dit programma met de standaard BXY-token. In de toekomst zal dit echter niet mogelijk zijn. Daarom hebben we PLUS Token (PLS) geïntroduceerd.



Het inwisselen van BXY voor PLS is de enige manier om deel te nemen aan het Loyalty-programma. Vanwege de onzekerheid in de huidige markt is PLS niet beschikbaar voor inwoners van de Verenigde Staten.

Het Loyalty-programma is bedoeld om gebruikers die PLS op de Beaxy Exchange vasthouden te belonen. Die gebruikers ontvangen een percentage van de gezamenlijke transactiekosten. De hoogte van dat percentage wordt bepaald door de duur van het blokkeren van de PLS-tokens in combinatie met het percentage van het aandeel van elke gebruiker van het totaal aan geblokkeerde PLS-tokens.

De levering van de PLS-token is gelijk aan die van het BXY-token, maar de PLS-token is alleen beschikbaar via het Beaxy-platform. De Beaxy Token (BXY) kan worden ingewisseld voor de PLS Token met een ratio van 1:1 en blijft gedurende een door de gebruiker ingestelde tijdsduur vergrendeld:

Hou de PLS vast:
Tot 1 maand: 15%
1-6 maanden: 20%
Na 6 maanden: 25%

Feitelijk worden uw Loyalty-opbrengsten bepaald door:
1) Het aantal PLS dat u vasthoudt ten opzichte van andere PLS-houders
2) De duur dat u uw PLS vergrendelt

Wanneer de gebruiker ervoor kiest om de PLS-tokens van de Beaxy Exchange te verwijderen, moeten ze eerst hun PLS-tokens voor BXY-tokens ruilen tegen een ratio van 1:1.


Omdat de Beaxy Exchange-demo zojuist is gelanceerd, hebben we besloten de tokenverkoop met twee weken uit te stellen. Zo stellen we gebruikers in staat de demo uitgebreid uit te testen en alle nieuwe wijzigingen die we hebben aangebracht te bekijken.
