1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wallet for Ethereum on: September 21, 2017, 06:29:48 AM
Ethereum is an open source, peer-to-peer, community driven decentralized cryptocurrency that allow people to store and invest their wealth in a non-government controlled currency, and even earn a substantial interest on investment. This means anyone holding Ethereum Coin in their wallet will receive interest on their balance in return for helping maintain security of the network.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best altcoin to collect? on: September 21, 2017, 06:26:50 AM

Ethereum: Had 40x growth rate over the last two years. Allows to build fully-functional applications on blockchain without middlemen. Extremely promising currency, solid team (take a look at what Vitalik Buterin is doing right now). #2 crypto right now — but still 1/10 of the Bitcoin value.

Monero: Anonymous / private Bitcoin. Now, you may think, “What are you talking about, the BTC is anonymous already?” — which is a very unfortunate albeit popular misconception. All BTC transactions can be seen by the public. For example, by giving out your wallet address to someone, the person is able to see all the payments you’ve received and sent. The black market (drug dealers and weapon manufacturers) created a solution for this: basically a software that mixes your coins with other coins. Nevertheless, the software needs to be trusted and may not work correctly.

Factom: A blockchain-based system that’s optimized to store millions of realtime records with a single hash. Useful for all kinds of business apps. Runs on top of Bitcoin.

Counterparty: A simple description of it may sound like an “Ethereum competitor backed by Bitcoin blockchain”.

Siacoin: Distributed data storage. An alternative to Box, Google Drive. The big corporations would not have any access to your data in this point.

Lisk: A JavaScript-based Ethereum competitor that aims to make the deployment and development easy. Interesting solution for an internet of things device from a simplicity perspective.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WAVES PLATFORM VS ETH PLATFORM on: September 21, 2017, 06:23:44 AM
I think it's intended purpose is supposed to be making token creation on their chain very easy. I suppose that puts them in direct competition with Ethereum and some of the Eth token ICOs.
However, there's projects like Zrcoin that are both tokens on ETH and on WAVES. So I think the business case is that if you want to create tokens very quickly - use Waves. If you want to do more complex things with the tokens (like using Solidity) - you could later somehow bridge your tokens between both Waves and Ethereum. I think the biggest unseen use case from that might be the commodities market, maybe even product inventories for companies at some stage.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptocurrency should I invest in with 50 USD? on: September 21, 2017, 06:22:43 AM
If you are going to buy and leave it for a few years without trading it, I would recommend IOTA.

IOTA was developed by the IOTA Foundation is a “gemeinnützige Stiftung” (i.e. non-profit Foundation) located in Germany. with the aims to simply provide an IoT solution that leverages blockchain’s security and incentive mechanisms without the drawbacks of fees and transaction scaling.

To resolves the problems of transaction costs, scalability, and offline transaction, IOTA was hence developed. IOTA is a completely open source and a non-profit organization focused on building an IoT solution inspired by, but not based on blockchain technology.

Some say IOTA is new and there is a huge potential in its project. That is not entirely true. IOTA development began with hundreds of supporters back in 2015 and it has been covered in TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Forbes, Cointelegraph, CIO, etc. repeatedly. It is not a new project and they have been there for a while now.

Although it is not a new to some of us, in my opinion, IOTA is still far away from “mass-adoption”.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: September 21, 2017, 06:12:02 AM
It can be happen if eveyone all around the world start to using Bitcoin. For using Bitcoin wallet everyone should have a mobile phone. As we all know now a day mostly peoples have mobile phone and everyone start doing small to big transactions by Bitcoin. So it can be possible that Bitcoin can make banks disappear.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Mining Farm in China be Closed? on: September 21, 2017, 06:10:54 AM
Mining pools business is not considered illegal at the moment, and BTCChina reiterates that the BTCC mining pool service continue after the trading closure on 30 September. We have observed a turn of regulatory attitude towards Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. As 5 out of top 6 bitcoin mining pools are situated in China, it would be a disaster if internet connection of these mining pools were taken offline.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: September 21, 2017, 06:09:10 AM
If you want to buy drugs or guns anonymously online, virtual currency Bitcoin is better than hard cash. Canny speculators have been hoarding it like digital gold. Now the world's leading bankers are even talking about as a rival for real money. How does it work, where can you get it and is it the future?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was centralized? on: September 21, 2017, 06:07:50 AM
The first decentralized currency is soon to implement a contentious upgrade which fundamentally changes its direction from bitcoin cash to a bitcoin settlement network. A decision that may have ramifications for decades to come or it may amount to a storm in a tea cup, but does the way such decision was made suggest bitcoin has become centralized in the hands of a few people?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spending Bitcoin These Days on: September 21, 2017, 06:06:17 AM
Do you remember 10-15 years ago when debit cards became popular and no fast food restaurant would accept plastic because fees were too high? What benefit did that have over cash? Simplicity. We moved money from a thing you had to possess (hard currency) to knowledge of a number (cc#). Now a majority of sales are plastic. The problem with pull transactions is apparent: fraud, minimal security, data breaches. Your numbers can be stolen. The benefit of bitcoin comes from the cryptography of digitally-signed push transactions.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: September 21, 2017, 06:04:20 AM
The easy way to access your wallet if you are a trader should always contact your bitcoin every time. I can do whatever we like with it. Our money will be to their address, and they will manage them
I recommend using on your cellphone anytime anft but for personal computers
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - the scheme is being pumped hard now don't fall for the trap on: September 10, 2017, 11:52:58 AM

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: China ICO banned >>> ETH and tokens raise? on: September 09, 2017, 01:35:46 AM
After the issuance of the token of the People's Bank of China (Tohoku) tokens, more than 40 ICO platforms have announced their inactivity. Banks also received instructions to stop providing services to ICO platforms. These services include: account opening, transaction, payment ... For current ICO accounts, the bank will check, assess the risk of hidden money laundering. If there is a violation, this account will be processed.
Although ICO is banned, many investors still believe in the development of blockchain technology behind Bitcoin. "Cryptocurrency is still worth the investment, what comes down is there."
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: September 09, 2017, 01:07:17 AM
It would be great When all nations accept bitcoin as a currency, to achieve it, certainly not easy for bitcoin and other cryptos.
Everything needs to be well known to the masses and easy to learn, Blockchain technology is representing a revolution and soon this revolution can go down to the application level where even schools can take advantage of.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today, Bitcoin dump ? on: September 09, 2017, 12:57:26 AM
As an investor, you should expect for risks like this, good times bring you many profits. Instead of questions you try to understand the meaning of bitcoin price fluctuations. Didn't you know that price decrease is giving us an opportunity to make again another rounds of buying. Also what you must look when you are holding bitcoin is long term goals and this price decrease can be recovered. Remember the recent price decrease just days ago, take it as reference, everything's assured that it will eventually increase again. There's nothing to worry, things like this is part of Bitcoin's volatility.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very short term invest on: September 08, 2017, 01:52:12 AM
Hello,

where to invest right now for very short term (days, few weeks max)?

I have some long term investments but I have to withdraw some money soon. So I want try to maximize the value of that part of my "cryptfolio".

For example Komodo promises big news on friday but the price is already pumped. I am not sure.

Any tips?
You can look over the HSR  Cheesy Cheesy It will give you the walls
or NEO, very suitable for short term investors.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hshare (HSR) is going to full recovery? on: September 08, 2017, 01:39:53 AM
Hello,

What do you think? Is it time to buy HSR? Is Hshare going to full recovery?

See: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hshare/

100% in 24 hours.
This is not the best time to buy hshare although if you want to get trapped by the way. And I think that the chance will always be there. A lot of people can be an example about to get trapped on the big pump and the next week the price will be back down again.
Indeed, HRS is rising so high that profits are huge, there will be many short term investors selling it out and waiting for new opportunities.
Buying at this time will be high risk
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to ETH now that ICO is dead? on: September 06, 2017, 04:04:46 PM
That is impossible. And I never thought about that.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: between restaurant and bitcoin on: September 06, 2017, 03:26:19 PM
this is a very good culinary business when receiving payments using bitcoin BTC or other altcoin, so users of digital currency can easily use the currency, not only for investment but to enjoy life with bitcoin there is no place

Is there a restaurant in your area that has received payments using bitcoins or the like?

Only in some large developed countries, accept btc payment
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really A Currency or An Asset? on: September 06, 2017, 03:10:40 PM
Bitcoin has been touted as a crypto-currency, capable of replacing fiat currencies but the reality today is that most people prefer to hold bitcoins rather than spend it. Can we really say it si a currency when a large number of bitcoin users treat it as an asset?
It is both a currency and an asset that generates a lot of profits for you.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China banned ICO's not Bitcoin idiots! on: September 06, 2017, 03:02:30 PM
A friend I introduced to Bitcoin, phoned me today asking why China banned Bitcoin. He quoted a article in his local news paper, who quoted Bloomberg : https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-09-04/china-central-bank-says-initial-coin-offerings-are-illegal

The mainstream media has no f#$%^ clue what the difference between ICO's and Bitcoin is. Anyone can create a fancy webpage and a few PDF's with information on their ICO offering and then sell tokens for it.

Initial coin offering (ICO) is an unregulated means of crowdfunding via the use of cryptocurrency. The term is often confused with 'token sale' or crowdsale, which refers to a method of selling participation in an economy, giving investors access to the features of a particular project starting at a later date.

Please phone your local newspapers and explain the difference to them, because ICO's are not Bitcoin!

People will do anything to sell a few extra news papers or to receive a few extra clicks on their websites, even if they publish total rubbish. They should research a subject before they publish garbage like this.

It just shows you how unreliable information can be that are being published in the media. This might even be done on purpose. ^grrrrrrrr^
Following the Chinese government's announcement, all currencies fell sharply.
Now the coin is stabilizing again
