1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: November 30, 2017, 01:24:56 AM
I think Altcoins definitely have a future. There will be new niches and use cases. Bitcoin is enjoying a nice meteorite rise, but it is not the fastest, doesn't have the lowest fees, and doesn't have the best features. It simply has first mover advantage. Bitcoin will always be around, but eventually there will be alt coins with more real world applications.

3  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Regret? on: November 28, 2017, 02:01:42 AM
Hi Guys,

Do you regret buying Casascius back a few years ago? I bought my Cas MS67 0.1btc for 1.2 btc in 2015 when btc was about $500, but the premiums on these coins have squeezed a lot and rightfully so as many people can not afford the heafty price of BTC now a day, but if I held the 1.2 btc, it'd be worth much more than the 0.1 cas I have now.

What do you think will happen going forward? Do you think the Cas premiums will come back? If so, how?

And now with BTC at 10k, what do you think a coin like mine would even get? like 0.4 btc?

I don't mind to regret , but as you say these prices are perfectly good.
It doesn't really have to decrease in regards of bitcoin price stay with the price. Wait.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: November 28, 2017, 01:38:35 AM
China-based cryptocurrency exchange BTCC suspended all domestic trading in yuan last weekend. The decision came on the heels of a September 5 statement from regulatory authorities in China, which required all domestic cryptocurrency exchanges publish closing announcements, stop registering new users, and establish a schedule to cease yuan-denominated trading by September 15. Huobi and OKCoin — two other exchanges based in China — have announced similar plans to stop trading. To be clear: China has not banned the use of cryptocurrencies. It has banned cryptocurrency exchanges and initial coin offerings (ICOs). Even still, it has prompted some to consider whether a government might ban cryptocurrencies like bitcoin — and, perhaps more importantly, whether such a ban would be effective Smiley Smiley Smiley

Because goverment felt like if bitcoin keep arising they it may attack their integrity.

Gambling is gambling, and what you do with your bitcoins depends as if you gamble or not.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China & $10K Bitcoin on: November 28, 2017, 12:19:09 AM
I know most of you agree that China was behind the drop of price to $3500, then now its $10k..Did the Chinese gov just triple their money while we are watching as suckers?

You theory makes sense, the problem that is not possible to back it up unless an insider proves with legit claims.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you need a Blockchain?! on: November 27, 2017, 11:55:58 PM
Because people is now making ridiculous projects over the blockchain, and they do not even understand why blockchain means, they are just using that word because it has a lot of potential to do marketing.

There are some projects like Sex on the blockchain from a sexshop ico, i do know what has been about that ico, i thought that they rised more than one million dollars from this ridiculous idea.

And there would still be some more projects like this, they are like a plague . But if they are really good projects, then i dont see why they can not develop an idea over the blockchain, it is helping everybody in here at any way.

Agreed with you, is just because " blockchain " is mainstream right now on the internet and there are many scams projects based on.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get your first bitcoin? on: November 27, 2017, 12:51:54 AM
I'm new to bitcoin and i know what bitcoin is very well. My question is how do you get your first bitcoin without having to mine,buy,beg,....etc?
