1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pre-ICO] TexCoin.io - Revolutionizing International Trade - AIRDROP! on: September 27, 2017, 12:08:33 AM
I sent the PM. This project seems interesting. It also seems like it has a good chance to distinguish itself among the field of new ICOs. Thanks for letting us participate.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ▶️🎲▶️[ANN] PLAY . Proof-of-PLAY | NO ICO | AIRDROP | 100% BONUS FOR 48 H ▶️🎲▶️ on: September 25, 2017, 08:16:11 PM
I like that you did the math on this whole thing. That shows the maximum or presumed maximum through a dedicated 30 days. This whole concept is interesting and I haven't heard of something like this before. So, naturally it is interesting. Go is definitely not an easy game to master from my experience. It is like mastering Chess. Heck there are people that play Go for a living just like people that play Chess for a living. So, using Go as the vehicle for this is an additional level of different.

This sounds very promising. It may be where I start trading for sure. Anyway sent you my ETH address and the Twitter information in a PM. Thank your for the opportunity.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Open Money break down the app store walls? on: September 17, 2017, 02:02:32 PM
You look at actors and actresses in Hollywood under the old studio system. The studios had the power to make the actresses and actors do what they wanted them to do. They danced to the studios tune. When that system went away, actors and actresses were able to take their talents where they wanted to and put more money into their pockets. The same thing was true when you look at the NBA and NFL with before and after free agency. Open Money is poised to break app developers out of the old studio system and give them free agency. That alone will unleash creativity as developers get paid their market worth. This is an exciting idea because of the pent up development it will undoubtedly unleash from developers that held back before due to not being appropriately compensated.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Open Money make crypto go mainstream? on: September 16, 2017, 09:29:23 PM
If I present a dollar, a peso, a euro and so on to someone in a country and expect that something of value be provided back that is generally considered reasonable. However, is it really reasonable? It is a piece of paper. It isn't really backed by anything anymore, like gold for example, it is backed by faith. Governments can and do print more on their own whims. In parts of Africa and South America this has led to economic destabilization and inflation. However, wherever you go in the world, people have faith that the piece of paper holds value and can be exchanged for value. They just believe it. So, it works.

Picture this. The entire power grid goes out and stays out for six months. Everything is electronic or run by electronics. How does gasoline get pumped, how do groceries get paid for, how do ATMs work, and so on. After some period of time, people want to eat and paper just doesn't have the faith it once did. I believe things then devolve to a barter system. With a barter system, people set the value of things and trade based on a mutually agreed upon value for items to exchange. That central government that issued the paper, that was perceived to have value, just doesn't have the credibility it once did. The paper loses value because the faith isn't in the government like it was.

What about a resource that is finite, predictable in amount, and not controlled by a central government on a whim. An instrument that can transcend borders and when carried around the world doesn't need to be changed from peso to dollar to euro. It has value just the way it is. People have faith in it precisely because it is portable (not like a bag of gold), universally understood to have value, easily transferred and can be carried around on their phone. So, they can carry it around with something that they already have on them anyway.

In some respects I am describing a credit card. Most people in the world would recognize it as a credit card or even a debit card. However, not everyone has perfect credit or wants to carry around a stack of cash if they don't have perfect credit. They want something portable, that is as useful as cash, and they believe would have value through a crisis and after a crisis. Not a credit charge that they may receive disbursement from the card company in the future. Not cash that they have to carry around. Something portable, payable now, and universally understood to have value.

We are very close right now to breaking through with Bitcoin and with it being slowly tied to traditional cards or being used in lieu of a local currency. However, ease of use, faith in value and portability are not quite there yet. As the ease of use happens, with things like Open Money, will it even be necessary over time to worry about fiat? Things like Open Money help transcend fiat and people think and transact strictly in cryptocurrency. This may go a lot faster than people think. The internet, tablets, cellular phones, they started a little bit slowly then just took off and were mainstream. The reason is that they were easy to use. People no longer worried about transferring something from a tablet or phone to their desktop computer, they just tossed out the desktop computer. Open Money helps make things easier where people just say, why do I need to worry about fiat, I get paid in and operate in cryptocurrency. I trust it more than what a central government provides. It just happens and then people think isn't that how it always has been, just like a 10 year old with a tablet.

In some respects there is a bit of irony with no Newbies allowed to get a coin, and the account saying this has Newbie for the account level. I guess it is humorous in a "this Newbie account is not going to take care of other Newbie accounts" way.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: THREAD CLOSED on: September 14, 2017, 03:32:53 AM
I just found out about this project, the bounty program, and what it is all about. I am very excited to join and be a part of this even if it is only for the last few weeks of it. I believe the way that you handled that hack is indicative of how well you will do in the future because it speaks to your honesty and character.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Open Money ICO Extending PreSale Date - Sold Out Prior to Pre-sale for Fair on: September 14, 2017, 01:18:43 AM
This news says a lot. It is getting interesting. It is getting very interesting. The excitement is building and it looks like Open Money is going to launch and launch fast right out of the gate.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinstarter.com (scam?) on: September 13, 2017, 02:18:06 AM
I don't know what to think of this site. It obviously is still alive on the web but apparently nothing is really happening one way or the other. It doesn't seem to be actively promoted but it seems, if it is to be believed, that a lot of people signed up. I don't. Seems odd.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huffington Post article on Open Money should I invest there vs Paragon? on: September 13, 2017, 12:23:12 AM
Open Money has been getting more and more attention. It isn't an accident, they have a great team, a great game plan, and look to be growing and becoming a force to reckon with in a short period of time. I am excited about what the future holds for Open Money.

This sounds very cool and I appreciate you thinking of all the people that are Newbies. Most campaigns seem to overlook people in a Newbie status for being able to participate at all in almost any way. When I get home from work I will be signing up.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qtum - korea also banned ICO on: September 04, 2017, 09:13:01 PM
Eventually the wild wild west got tamed by laws and regulations. Most of these were put in place to protect people and others were put in place to ensure that the government got their cut. This is probably a little of both and is just bringing order to the chaos in a lot of respects. However, it represents a dip, and a buying opportunity, so in some respects it is a positive.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China not only bans new local ICOs but orders liquidation of existing ones on: September 04, 2017, 07:26:44 PM
The price movements make a lot more sense now. I appreciate you posting this. To me this represents a buying opportunity with the dip. The only problem is timing, and as Warren Buffet said: "The only value of stock forecasters is to make fortune-tellers look good." Peter Lynch: "I can't recall ever once having seen the name of a market timer on Forbes' annual list of the richest people in the world. If it were truly possible to predict corrections, you'd think somebody would have made billions by doing it."
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY AIRDROP] PIKKO Token | 200 Participants on: September 04, 2017, 06:38:02 AM
That went quick. As a Newbie I would't have been allowed to participate in any case it looks like. Disappointing but the only one that seems to want to have anything to do with Newbies is PoSToken. I am looking for the next one to get in on after I fulfill my responsibilities with my current campaign.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it possible that cryptocurrency will be totally accepted by government? on: September 03, 2017, 03:01:31 PM
As long as governments feel they can control, track, be able to manipulate it to some extent then they will be okay with it. Actual cash in hand to do transactions is being discouraged with reporting requirements and laws because it isn't as effortless to track like debit and credit cards are. Bottom line, anonymous cryptocurrency will be as popular as cash in my opinion, meaning not so popular.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: BananaCoin BOUNTY CAMPAIGN [ Signature, Signup, Fb, Twitter, Youtube ] on: September 03, 2017, 02:54:00 PM
I looked through everything that you have listed and from I can see not a single one of the categories allows someone that is a Newbie a chance to earn anything. I believe you are missing out on a base of users that could be useful. If nothing else for Facebook or something like that showing that they are not a bot or a multiple account but a single account Newbie.

As an example, yesterday I found that PoSToken lets Newbies participate in their Bounty Program with a few of their options.

Any thoughts on allowing Newbies to participate in any of the categories? For signature, obviously, I am tied to the PoSToken but when that wraps up I certainly would like to have some other options.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ⭐️⭐️[BOUNTY] LIVE STARS - Revolution in Adult Webcam Entertainment! on: September 03, 2017, 02:40:21 PM
I didn't think Newbies every had a chance in the past to earn anything. It seemed futile and I wasn't going to make a lot of pointless points to up my post count.

Yesterday I found that PoSToken let's Newbies participate in their Bounty Program. So, obviously that was a welcome surprise.

My question is Live Stars have you given any thought to allowing Newbies to participate? Obviously, I am tied to the PoSToken but when that wraps up I certainly would like to have other options.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / https://coinsgear.com on: August 12, 2017, 02:49:02 AM
I have utilized this site (bitcointalk) quite a bit over the last few weeks educating myself on a multitude of topics. I figured it is time to give something back that is useful to the community or what I believe to be useful. So, I was on an asic miner site, saw a web banner I had not seen before offering equipment for sale, then I was redirected from the advertised site in transit after clicking on the banner and landed at https://coinsgear.com/. That certainly aroused my curiosity. I noticed right away the https:// so I mean it is possible it wasn't of course a scam or anything. However, there is some level of sophistication that was put into this site's operation. So, for historical analysis for people later researching this site I add the following.

As I write this it is August 11, 2017 at 10PM EST USA. The site (according to the Whois record) was created 2018-08-08T14:08:07Z. That works out to be 4 days, 13 hours, 6 minutes ago as I write this. Obviously at this point they haven't really surfaced in search results but I believe that will change or they plan on it changing in the future. They used a privacy registering service to obscure their information so I can't tell you much more on that. I can say hosting costs 8USD a month with SSL. Economical.

Here is the interesting part. They have been online 4 days and 13 hours. In that time, according to their FAQ, they have over 2500 satisfied clients with over 8000 products sold, and you can check their customer reviews on each product they say. They have been extremely busy apparently selling items and getting satisfied customers in just a few short days. Even more interesting, is they haven't had the time to build those reviews because they aren't there to be found yet in those large numbers. I think they will build them out though, and wanted to get this out there before they polish the site more.

Disconcerting is their stated plan to add an app in the Apple Store, Google Play, and Windows Store. Of course those are "Coming Soon" apparently and it makes a more sophisticated looking site.

Only Bitcoin is accepted as a payment method.

Everything is free shipping from China and it is via "We ship via DHL, FeDex and UPS"

Of the few reviews here are some nuggets after 4 days 13 hours of site operation.

fast shipping -- thanks, did not expect it to arrive this fast, only in 5 days. wohooo time to mineeee baby --grvaughn

coinsgate your the bestt -- if your looking to buy some d3's get it now, bought more than 10 Antminer S9's from them and they always ship fast...Dustin Snyder

Of course everything is in stock (not true everywhere else in the world as I write this) and the prices are fantastic.

Antminer S9 14TH/s - $1849.99
Antminer L3+ 504MH/s - $2649.99
Antminer D3 - $3149.99

I write this now because they aren't "fully launched" and I don't want someone to fall prey months down the road, when this could be caught early.
