1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buying new Pc Vs adding ssd to actual Pc . on: December 04, 2018, 06:25:31 PM
I've got a notebook with a 2Tb HDD. I'm going to replace it with an internal SSD, and buy a case for the HDD. Then I can plug the old drive into the machine for the extra storage.

However, probably the greatest performance upgrade is free. It is junking Windows, and installing Ubuntu Studio.
Yeah that's doable since you can insert the HDD in the CDs reader caddy , yet you should be aware that the reader you'll be plugging your HDD into is certainly much slower than the one it's currently on so you'll be going from a SATA III to a SATA II port or something similar and thus will have an even slower HDD in the future  ..
Browsing the net showed that the best thing to do is to buy an NVME M.2 ssd since it'll be much better than the regular 2.5 inch ssd and keep your hdd in it's place .
Edit : and let's just not go into the windows vs ubuntu discussion , because using windows is really against my will since i'll have problems when working on projects with teams that solely use windows and refuse to switch to ubuntu ..

Buying SSD would be nice and will really make a difference. But if you would like to go with buying the whole PC, dont go for 1050. Right now there is RX 570 which is cheaper or costs the same and WAY better at the same time.
It's a laptop and rx cards are just for PCs as far as i know , right ?

Hello bitcointalkers,
I've recently encountred so many problems due to my pc being very slow to boot and launch applications that are very demanding (mainly development IDEs such as visual studio.. )I have a 3 yeas old asus x550jx that has a 4th generation i7 , 8Gb ddrl3 of ram , a gtx 950M and a 1TB HDD drive disk 5400RPM .
I was wondering will it be better to save money and go for an additional SSD disc that is known to be 3-4 times faster than my hdd ?? or just go for a new pc such as an asus rog/ lenovo y530/ Hp omen 15/ dell g7,  with an 8th gen proc, gtx 1050 and ssd (i do some light gaming , hence the gtx1050) .
Saving the money will be great but spending it won't be a problem especially that i use this pc for studying and realising projects(web applications development).
Thanks for your answers.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: August 16, 2018, 12:24:50 AM
Success in gambling isn't a thing since it has different definitions for different people.
For example success in gambling for me is when i get a correct score in a football match or find that my analysis was correct and i have predicted the right outcome .
Success for others is having as much money as possible and for others is not having every bet wrong .
So finding success totally depends on your approach to things .
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest in Crypto currencies without fiat. on: August 15, 2018, 10:56:12 PM
Since the beginning of blockchain based currencies , internet literates have been provided with so many jobs that suits all their fields of expertise and whoever was good at doing something have had an opportunity to do a job that will be remunerated in cryptos .
Working with ICOs isn't the only job that can be payed in cryptos and you can even sell physical goods for cryptos ..
So investing in cryptos without putting any money on stake isn't that hard , you can just accomplish some tasks , have some cryptos in return and begin your journey in the crypto world !
6  Economy / Economics / Re: When will people feel comfortable using BTC ? on: August 15, 2018, 10:53:44 PM
People will feel comfortable using bitcoin when whenever they are paying something they'll have both options of paying in fiat or in cryptos .
People will consider using it when things they always such as groceries , clothes or even cars and houses have price tags with both fiat and bitcoin .
The whole world will be invested in cryptos when every market and every company will adopt it as a payment method and when people won't fear using it anymore ..
But before all of this , people should have essential needs such as food , water and medicines .. and then we'll talk about people having internet in order to be comfortable using bitcoin ..
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does convince people to enjoy gambling is a wrong idea? on: August 15, 2018, 10:45:47 PM
Convincing people to enjoy gambling isn't wrong , convincing people to start gambling because they'll enjoy it is wrong .
One is just giving advice to someone who is already invested in gambling and is already on track, that person could be already addicted or just playing it for fun and probably wasting a lot of money .
Another is getting someone into an activity that can ruin his life and turn it into a living hell .
But generally , someone who is not enjoying gambling is an addict that should get help because he will eventually be ruined emotionally and can have his life torn up so convincing him to quit it is much better than convincing him to enjoy it .
People don't continue doing something that they don't enjoy, and if they don't enjoy it than no one should talk them into enjoying it ..
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto Market will Recover on: August 15, 2018, 09:55:37 PM
The crypto market is at whales grace now and they are controlling every aspect of it because small traders are either backing off or hodling for being too afraid to buy/sell because most of them have acquired bitcoin in this early year when it was at it's all times high .
Whales are free to either pump the market or dump it even lower in order to buy with a cheap price .
What is sure that the market will recover because cryptos or anything blockchain based is the future and such things will be so popular in 5+ years that no one will be able to control it anymore ! Even big whales !
I think that good news will be most beneficial for the market in this next trimester and is the only way for it to grow back a bit without the support of whales. So it's really up to the community to make good advertising for cryptos and encourage people to buy when bloods are on the streets .
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty managers to be blamed? on: August 15, 2018, 09:36:47 PM
Bounty managers are not to be blamed only if they do contribute in the scam that is taking place and those ones are usually members of the team that launched the ICO at first place.
Even if you are not that implicated in the scam or you really didn't verify whether the ICO is a credible one by reading it's whitepaper , seeing whether they have an opportunity of making money and so on ..
I remember that lately a very known and trusted campaign manager have received numerous negative feed backs only because he knew that the campaign he is managing is a fraud , so the managers aren't really those to blame ..
Experienced enough bounty hunters can make the difference between a scam and the real deal and should alert people whenever they smell something fishy (which is already happening with a lot of ICOs ..) .
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about rest of the Cryptos? on: August 15, 2018, 09:23:18 PM
At the moment even the value of bitcoin is somewhat stuck within 6-7k. Do you guys think that there is any other crypto/coins are worth investing in and why?

The market will remain stable in my opinion since we are not hearing about any new projects , markets or big companies that are adopting bitcoin as a payment method .. People are also afraid of both investing and selling their assets at low prices and no one can blame them for hodling .
What i do believe is that bitcoin will recover from this bearish market as soon as we approach Christmas and investing in a coin other than bitcoin , eth and Neo is a really risky move to do and the rest of the cryptos are somewhat depending of essentially bitcoin and eth because even tho the correlation in price isn't always logical , yet it is almost inevitable .
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you care about product? on: August 15, 2018, 09:15:24 PM
I remember investing in an ICO that had an uber for trucks as a project to back and make tokens for , and even the project have never seen the lights , people trusted and invested in that ICO and made a lot of money .
The important thing is that people "buy the idea" , and believing in it enough to put money where their mouths at , the rest isn't really that important because most of the people will collect their profits as soon as the token hits the exchange .
Caring about the product is one thing and caring about whether people will be believing in it is an other and i believe that people should always take the second thing in consideration .
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will survive on: August 13, 2018, 09:47:05 PM
Cryptocurrencies will survive as long as people belive in them , as long as there new projects which are supported by strong teams , that have clear objectifs and are well talked about in media .
Adopting cryptocurrencies all over the world is just a matter of time and whichever crypto able to meet the populations needs will be successful.

15  Economy / Services / Re: Seeking Web Developer on: July 09, 2018, 04:01:56 PM
I think you need to change the subject to web designer , because a web developer(back) and a web designer(front) are two different things and you're obviously looking for a web designer .
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists! on: June 30, 2018, 12:56:19 AM
The only benefit that i got over these years of gambling a part from money was mainly friendship . I have tied so many friendships these past years in either casinos i go to or cyber coffee shops where i usually go to study the future sports events and speculate about them , and through these years i have made friends who are very good at speculating what will happen especially with the sport games that they follow the most , having such people in your life doesn't only make it easier for you to speculate and place bets , but also to find another way of spending your time and loose the whole of it on gambling .

Visit BookiePro.fun and you'll be able to find a variety of games to bet on , as a veteran gambler i enjoyed using it and it has a unique user experience that you won't experience elsewhere than at BookiePro.fun !
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is best practice for gambling?? on: June 30, 2018, 12:50:09 AM
First of all , i think that gambling on a small budget is a wrong thing to do since you'll be dragged to bet on high odds expecting quite huge winnings when you weren't even able to bet with high stakes , that will eventually make of you a greedy person and a greedy person is by default a bad gambler .
I think that one of the best pieces of advice to give to someone who is betting with a low budget is to make single bets and half of your money on that single bet , it'll be good returns with small risks , and if you loose you got the remaining half to compensate .
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Simply predict the future of bitcoin on: June 30, 2018, 12:45:58 AM
Even tho i don't like it when people make predictions and speculations on bitcoin without backing them with accurate strategies , thoughts or arguments
yet i have a strong feeling that things will continue to degenerate for at least the half remaining of this year .
If history repeats itself (which i hope it does because i really need to withdraw some money in the near future XD ) , cryptos will begin to go up starting from late September and only then we'll be able to talk about bull trends .
But even now i'll still be satisfied with bitcoin's price because it's 6 times worth what i bought it for so it's still a win win situation for me if it doesn't go up .
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My small advice about crypto market on: June 30, 2018, 12:37:58 AM
People should not be afraid to be engaged in trading , nor to be holders . What they should understand and be afraid of is getting out / purchasing coins in bad moments . There's an old saying stating that "people should buy when there is blood in the streets" and that translates to whenever it's going crazy and people are panicking -> that's the best time for you to buy and we are living that at the moment so people will be GETTING OUT in a bad moment and people will be INVESTING , and when the cycle goes to the opposite phase those who got out will be regretting it !
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to HODL or not ? on: June 30, 2018, 12:17:24 AM
There is one simple question that'll get you the good answer , because the right answer is always holding .
If you are in desperate need of your money and you'll be in a very bad situation if you don't sell those coins then there is nothing to think about , sell them and get over it . But if you have the luxury to keep them and have an alternative source to cover your expenses then selling your coins will just be a 1000% loosing situation ..
Short answer : Hold if you can , sell and get over it if you need the money.
