First time user of ShapeShift and had a very bad experience so far. I wanted to exchange 0.23 BTC to BCH and despite the large mining fee used the first confirmation came seconds after the trade 'expired'. Afterwards, my BTC is completely LOST! I can't retry the trade or nothing. I submit a support request... no response! I needed the BCH for a time sensitive deal and now it fell through There should be an option to retry the trade at a different exchange rate or a self serve option to withdraw. Locking people's BTC for 72 hours is unacceptable. I am sorry to say this service isn't very user friendly. You have to be an expert and 100% certain your payment makes it before the trade 'expires' to use this tool. DON'T USE THIS SERVICE UNLESS YOU'RE OKAY WITH YOUR FUNDS LOCKED FOR DAYS WAITNG FOR A REFUND!

I offered .3 BTC and he said deal. When I suggested to use an escrow he told me no thanks. Warning. This is a scammer. me: can you do .3 BTC for a S9 without PSU? seller: Ok, I'll do that. me: cool. you okay with using one of the top 3 escrow services on bitcointalk? seller: No, doesn't my ad say I won't send my miners to random third party? I can send you a pic of them with your name written on a piece of paper. You can order from bitmain directly for December shipment and bitcoin cash payments only. They got on their website now. me: the way these escrows work is I send the BTC first to the escrow service. the escrow service confirms the BTC is there, then you send me the miner. once i confirm the miner arrives, the escrow service releases the BTC to you. It is pretty standard. No one will make such a big purchase without some sort of escrow service. seller: No thx
