The powersupply would make sense but like I've stated earlier I've tested on 2 different computers. But what's even more interesting is gaming and gpu tests show that the cards are functioning. But every time I try to mine it kicks it like it can't start I've tried bfgminer cgminer and minergate as well as guiminer and even nicehash to no success. I'm at a loss for understanding.

Yep uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them on 2 computers. I thought it might be the motherboard but it did the same on each individual card on each pc. I'm almost thinking I set up bfgminer  indirectly... it's set to intensity 75 or 75 percent load , search one item , and then the pool and everything

I checked and there's no chipset problems. As far as the motherboard I tried 2 thinking it may have been the express slots. The floor is tile  and I'm using a 1000 w power surge protector (costed more than the 7870)
Also I use a static bracelet when handling components.
It's my first time mining but not my first build.

I've only just started mining and I've lost 4 graphics cards what am I doing wrong?
I'm using an i3 processor 16gb ram a 850 watt gold psu (I'm only running one card at a time)
Bfgminer tuning at 75 percent and 0 intensity. All cards show video with artifacts 2x 7870s 2gb , 1x 7850 1gb, and a sapphire nitro rx 460. Bfg miner says they are sick or dead I put them in another computer but same results.
I'm kindof  new to this and I want to know what I did wrong.

Did you try using each one separately and check if the same thing happens? Did you try other driver versions? One possible cause of this might be the completely different GPU series mix, it's not ideal to mix 7xxx series with RX and so on.
There is also a small chance that your PSU might be on the limits, does that happen when your PC is on full load?
I've summed up all your GPUs full load wattage consumption which totals 800 Watt, you have a 850 Watt PSU + your CPU and every other component probably sums it up to 850 Watts.
Also, did you OC them? Mine get artifacts if I overclock them above a specific point.

I thought so too but I've only been running one card at a time and I haven't over clocked at all (don't really know how and never needed too) in fact in my run code for bfgminer I have it set to only 75% load. I even tried a fresh install on the drives but the and crimson app disappears when I run a miner.
