CryptoID block explorer up and running
Why does it take several days to address the issue each time?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | POW/POS+MN | 0.10.7.4 - New Self Moderated Thread on: October 16, 2019, 12:18:25 PM
3/3 masternodes stuck at 7317003

Quark explorer stuck:
Quark   7313568   1 day 10 hours    1   845.2 k   118 satoshis   $ 2,568,656
Spectrecoin   1303724   3 minutes    2   1402.2 k   1103 satoshis   $ 2,375,832
OKCash   2217766   just now   2   1600.8 k   377 satoshis   $ 2,350,145

1. QRK explorer stuck @ Block #7313568 2 days 19 hours

2. Yesterday Despot QRK to QBTC but not Recharge yet, not sure it is due to explorer issue Huh
QBTC's wallet is probably stuck as well.
Seems a lot of the main players are not keeping an eye on their wallet status.
I guess if there is no leadership from the quark insiders everyone else can just let it ride.

Any suggestions on getting a new wallet synced? I've tried both the re-index blockchain from Cryptochainer and the non-index blockchain from this thread and both stop syncing at 6 weeks behind and report no block source available. I've tried using different versions of the wallet and no luck. Anyone?
are you updating your addnode entries from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/qrk/#!network

What's up with the template?

08:12:04

getblockcount
08:12:04

7243026
08:12:14

getblocktemplate
08:12:14

CreateNewBlock() : TestBlockValidity failed (code -1)

I guess it's best to turn this thing off and use the 3GB of memory for something else while we're being ignored.

I notice I can only run the program. It doesn't really install? So I can't really uninstall it either? I look in the add remove programs and no Quark program is listed? It runs but never connects to the node? I guess it uninstalls on shut down?  Huh Zero active connections to Quark Network after running for 12 minutes?
What OS are you using? What does your quarkcoin.conf look like?

Windows 7.                      Quarkcoin.conf? Where is that?

Windows quarkcoin.conf location:

Go to Start -> Run (or press WinKey+R) and run this:  %APPDATA%\Quarkcoin

If you don't know where it is you probably don't have one. You will find instructions for its creation listed in this thread previously.

Our developers are currently working on the code and version 10.7.2 will be released shortly
Shortly has elapsed, This idea of trialing code on a once working coin is questionable.
Nothing but wallet crashes on this end.

Just to add a little more confusion.
The 708 chain has become the 709 chain and... (Treasury 0.10.7.0 chain insta-mine chain)
The 709 chain has become the 710 chain.         (Original 0.10.6.3 chain)

Sorry about the 11975 port if you caught that.

I'm seeding the 709 non-treasury chain. You will need a torrent client.
Once you have a copy take a look at the use of nonstandard ports in the sample quarkcoin.conf
Please provide feedback.

feedback is somewhat limited due to blocked pms from newbies on your side lol.
please pm quarkcoin.conf, would be enough to sync, this torrent not working for me
PM sent... newbies unblocked, sorry about that chief!

The 0.10.7.0 upgrade has been reverted.

Everybody is recommended to use the old 0.10.6.3 versions.

This might require re-syncing or re-indexing your wallet.

https://github.com/quark-project/quark/releases/tag/v0.10.6.3

Just re-indexing  with 10.6.3 will not ensure you are on the correct chain. in your conf file set listen=0, remove all your addnode entries, then add connect entries to all peers that have a blockheight above 7091226
 ie:
connect=89.212.249.7:11973
connect=70.81.219.188:11973
connect=2a01:4f8:13b:7a3::901:11973
connect=123.243.123.106:11973
connect=101.187.42.235:11973
connect=58.96.77.27:11973

Once you have synced to 7091226 or above you can restart with listen=1 and replace addnode entries

Two possibilities

Some people are using the new code to generate a lot of rewards for the foundation
(to create panic)

Unknown bugs have emerged as a result of mining along with the old chain during the upgrade

it's a bug - happened during adaption of yiimp-base pool to new coinbase-layout.

getblocktemplate reports wrong scaled values and wallet doesn't check max value for treasury

Yeah! can we get a max value check? Better an error than a 27million coin overrun.
Any Idea where it's getting that magical number? (106,394.92616)

8 hours in seconds is 28800    times the MN reward 3.69416 is very close to the magical number 106391.808 Perhaps some rounding is involved.

it's not an attack - it's the result of broken values from getblocktemplate

chain's sick again

Don't worry

The pool is adjusting its code to the quark's master node

This may take 1-2 days

Once they can properly support the master node payment

Our network will be up and running again
Woo Hoo

If your pool mining with https://cryptonova.eu please point your miners elsewhere while we wait for them to upgrade.

You can check the Quark version being used here: https://cryptonova.eu/explorer

This pool - orphan blocks
Indicates a solved block in about 4 minutes
Mining on a single wallet at 18.4 Gh/s, 2 miners
   Quark (quark)   -102.697 QRK   1.166 k   7 072 567   4 mins   18.4 Gh/s   -0.00191
