1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Where can I mint collectible coins? on: July 11, 2019, 04:47:18 PM
https://coldstoragecoins.com

Kind of approved in the community. Depends what you want to store on them.
They can make special edition for your coin/token.

I paste the link because they are cheap. I have not used them but got offer for a project. Very cheap but the number of coins was over my budget.

I have 5 of their coins and store alot on them. Have not heard of any issues.

I would not store anything on these coins......  you have be warned

Sure, the idea is to produce these as an interesting collectible more than an actual valuable cryptocurrency store.
But thanks for the heads up.

I might have given the impression I wanted to print 1 or 2 for myself.

I was thinking of minting lots of coins as a collectable for a large groupe of people.
Something like 250+ coins.

I'm looking to have some collectible coins made with specific branding.

Who can I contact? Are there reputable companies out there?

@enesimo  Not sure if I won the auction or not, please advise.  I thought the countdown clock had 3 hours left when I checked it and made my last post, but it is possible it was counting up, not sure.

Sorry about the confusion Wintermute420, the fact is MinerJones is right, the auction had ended. Next time I will add the option to stop the countdown when time elapses.

Also, I will let you know personally if I ever have another Cosmos coin to auction, which is possible in the near future.

0.045 BTC

Winner.
The countdown ended 5 hours ago and now it is counting up.

Oh, you're right- I didn't notice that.
(First time I use that website-- why would it do that?)

I would say it is the lighting.
This is the best I could do showing the extrusion on the hologram:
https://imgur.com/a/vQUD36q

I have tried (although admittedly with very little effort) to know more about the coins and as the previous commenter mentioned, I have already tried posting and asking in r/cosmosnetwork and in the telegram. No luck until now.

That video is perfect.. you can clearly see the "bump" from the key paper underneath Cool

Thanks for making it

Thanks. It really wasn't easy and took *a lot* of tries to find a POV that actually showed the bump.

...aaaaanyway, currently the max bid is 0.04BTC by Wintermute420.

Cool coin! Maybe I'm missing something, but is this coin loaded w/one ATOM?

Hi there, yes, the coin is loaded with 1 ATOM from what I can tell (I've never opened the capsule to check), but it does state that on the frontside of the coin.
Also, it seems to be a very similar or same design as a Casius coin which had public/private keys behind the hologram on the backside.

A hologram does not mean its loaded. If it was there would be a way to verify loading...or should be.

From the looks of the picture of the backside with the hologram,
You can make out the square recess where the key should be.
It looks "depressed" thus making me think there is no private key underneath

EDIT:

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by the comment. Are you saying the hologram has been removed? If so, I can assure you it hasn't as I have been the only owner of the coin since the original handoff from 2017 and I wouldn't do so for a token currently worth about 3.10€ (depending on market IOU consulted).

Also, in person, I can tell the hologram is more 'extruded' than depressed. It is quite hard to tell but I am trying to make a video where this is more visible.

I cannot- without more outside information- confirm if there is or isn't a cosmos token inside it. My *guess* is there is, but I cannot assure that, and will edit the original post to reflect that. Maybe someone from the cosmos team can confirm this and tell us how to verify?

Oh no.. did not mean that it had been removed. Just that it might have been assembled with no paper/private key underneath.

And from your comment, it may just be the angle/lighting that makes it look that way...
So if indeed it is "extruded" out... it may have that small paper with the key Cheesy

I would imagine we can track down whomever assmbeled/made them and find this out somehow Wink

I would say it is the lighting.

Hello there,

Is escrow available on this item?

I don't mind doing escrow with any well reputed third party- up to you to recommend one.

happy to offer escrow on this collectible.

Also, if it is loaded with 1 ATOM, is there a public address to verify this?  or maybe a COA?

Thanks

Hi, if the buyer agrees, I'm ok with you doing escrow. I'll PM you with details in order to better understand the process (this is my first sale).

Also, it is (supposedly loaded with 1 ATOM as indicated on the coin, and by the similarity of the coin to a Cassius coin), but I don't know for sure because I have never opened its capsule nor its hologram.

I have no COA (certificate of authenticity?), and I cannot think of any way to prove its authenticity other than contacting the person who gave it to me back in 2017, who's a core member of the Cosmos team.

If needed, I can also verify my IRL identity to a mod or to the escrow, if that helps. I work in the blockchain space and will not be risking damaging my reputation for this sale.

Finally, I have no idea what the circulating supply of the coin is currently. All I know from my research is that this is the first and only to be auctioned- although I know of others like it, out there.

Happy bidding!
